I Just got my seatbelt repaired from you guys btw.
Thanks for video got both seatbets out in about 10min
Excellent tutorial that covers enough of the basics of most B-pillar seat belts. It roughly translated over to my 2003 Ford Escape with only a few differences. BTW, if you're doing a 2001-2007 Escape, you're going to need a T-50 star bit, a 17mm socket and a 5/16" socket. A tiny flathead screwdriver makes it really easy to unlatch/unplug the electrical connection on the driver's side.
Can you do this yourself with the side airbags?
What tools did you need to remove it?
+Dhatboitee Ross - Usually it would be 12mm 13mm socket wrench

Holy Batshit are those manual roll down windows....Reminds me of my Pacer days
I have to order the new top portion part what are they called and where can I find them at
are you referring to the seat belt?
I have a 1994 ford laser and have to replace the passenger side seat belt
before I take the old seat belt out to replace it , do i need to disconnect the car battery ?
or is it safe to replace a seat belt while the battery is connected still?
It is recommended that you disconnect the battery when removing or installing seat belt pretensioners that are equipped with an igniter. On your 1994 Ford it is a should be just a regular seat belt without igniter.
when removed the top portion of the seat will have any problem with air bags on the side?
when I removed the top portal of the seat belt case will I damage or have any problem with my side airbags?
Peggy McDonald Side airbags are in the seat. Side curtain airbags are on the roof. So, side airbags are not in the way when removing seat belts.
Do you still have to reset the airbag module after replacing seatbelt?
If the seat belts locked after an accident, then YES the airbag module needs to be reset.
Well the seat belt was unlocked and does not lock at all
Sagar Chahal The airbag module should be good. You will need to use a scanner to clear the seat belt code after it is working again. If the code does not clear, you can always send the airbag module for reset.
I dont know what is it with dogs, they chewed my belts (I just got the car)
What happened to the repair part. The title is how to remove and REPAIR seatbelt tensioners. You just show how to remove and that you will fix them. Kind of misleading.
