I don't have that board available to test, but you could try to first uninstall Armoury Crate, if it is installed, and then check to ensure that the Asus Plugin Module within Corsair iCUE is installed, first, and updated, and then re-install Asus Armoury Crate with SDK, and see if that gets it working.
Here is where we downloaded and installed MSI Center (You would use Asus Armoury Crate):

well doesn't work for my msi b650 mpg carbon wifi. 0:16 and you told so that MPG or MEG mainboards would do it, but that's not the case. in icue settings on "SDK" it shows that on LEDKeeper2.exe which is from MSI at the column "events-access" "not supported" as a value. :)

      Which motherboard make and model?
Also, as mentioned recently by Tytus Chen down in the comments over at this video th-cam.com/video/hw1_Vw6e_Mk/w-d-xo.html, there is also a new "Plugins" menu option within the iCUE settings menu, the menu shown around the 2:08s point in the video above, where you can enable MSI, ASUS and other plugins. Try to enable the appropriate plugin from within that area of the settings menu as well. Then restart the system.
If that alone doesn't get it recognized after a few minutes of keeping the iCUE dashboard open, then you can try to follow the 4 steps that we walk-through to reset the iCUE app on the video located here: th-cam.com/video/DYTA1xtqodM/w-d-xo.html
Remember to terminate the iCUE app every time before restarting any of the mentioned services in that video. Only open iCUE again after the service fully restarts.
This might help identify any of those services that may turn into usual suspects that you may need to keep an eye on in the future on your system as iCUE developers continue to polish up the software for improved stability.

    • @RedEyeCentral
      @RedEyeCentral  ปีที่แล้ว +2

What model and voltage is the water block? Which RGB header is the water block currently plugged into?
According to the manual, it looks like there are 4 different RGB connectors on that motherboard, and those are separated into 3 different categories for functionality and voltage requirements.
1.) JRGB1: RGB LED connector For (12V/G/R/B) - The JRGB connector allows you to connect the 5050 RGB LED strips 12V.
2.) JRAINBOW1~2: Addressable RGB LED connectors - The JRAINBOW connector supports up to 75 LEDs WS2812B Individually Addressable
RGB LED strips (5V/Data/Ground) with the maximum power rating of 3A (5V). In the case of 20% brightness, the connector supports up to 200 LEDs.
3.) JCORSAIR1: CORSAIR Connector - The JCORSAIR1 connector allows you to connect the CORSAIR Individually Addressable Lighting PRO RGB LED strips 5V or CORSAIR RGB fans with the CORSAIR fan hub
Check the voltage of the water block and ensure it correlates with the correct RGB header. The LED strip or water block lights may need to be plugged into one of the JRAINBOW (JARGB) headers, or JCORSAIR1 if it's Corsair branded, to get better functionality within iCUE. If the lights are 5V capable and are currently connected into one of the standard 12V JRGB headers instead, you could try to move them to the 5V J"A"RGB headers for addressable functionality to see if that gets the lights to change within iCUE.
To test the water block lighting, open iCUE, click the motherboard icon, forget about the "lighting setup" category, and just click "MOTHERBOARD LIGHTING." From there, try to change the lighting for that individual RGB header into which the water block is plugged in, as seen starting at the point located in the following link: th-cam.com/video/wI7C5keDQ2I/w-d-xo.html
Ensure the lighting selected for that RGB header is not from the "lighting link" category, and instead select one from the "presets" category, such as rainbow, color pulse, etc. Just to try to get the water block colors changing independently for testing.
      MSI STATES:
      "CAUTION
Do not connect the wrong type of LED strips. The JRGB connector and the JRAINBOW
connector provide different voltages, and connecting the 5V LED strip to the JRGB
connector will result in damage to the LED strip."
MSI recommends shutting down the system, flushing the power (hold down power button for 10-20 seconds after unplugging from wall) before connecting and disconnecting from the RGB headers.
For an "extended LED strip" in JRGB1, MSI has a little asterisk where they state, "Please use MSI’s software to control the extended LED strip."
Also, the BIOS can have an LED switch as well. You can check within the BIOS and try to toggle that switch off, save, and restart, and then toggle it back on, save, and restart just to try to reset the mobo lighting from the BIOS level.
There are also a few pretty recent BIOS updates, and those can sometimes improve issues detected by the manufacturer after a board's release.

In the video above, we connect an EKWB EK-Quantum Velocity 2 CPU Water Block D-RGB directly to the motherboard via the JRAINBOW header.
What are you connecting, the Corsair Commander? If so, check with the Corsair Commander Pro manual, as it looks like that connects to a usb header and not an RGB header.
*Per MSI manual for the motherboard mentioned above (Z690 MEG ACE)*
"The JRGB connector supports up to 2 meters continuous 5050 RGB LED strips

connector will result in damage to the LED strip"
_The JRAINBOW connector_ "supports up to 75 LEDs WS2812B Individually
Addressable RGB LED strips (5V/Data/Ground) with the maximum power rating of 3A

before installing or removing the RGB LED strip"

    • @RedEyeCentral
      @RedEyeCentral  ปีที่แล้ว +1

@@HalesiaCarolina First things that come to mind is to make sure that all the MSI software and modules are updated.
      CHECK MSI IS UPDATED:
1.) Check your version of MSI Center and compare it to the one on MSI's web site
      www.msi.com/Motherboard/MPG-B550-GAMING-PLUS/support#utility
2.) You can also check if there is an update for the Mystic Light module from within MSI Center with the steps shown at this point in this basic MSI Center Installation Video th-cam.com/video/ZAwNrptAufY/w-d-xo.html
3.) Ensure Corsair iCUE is running the most recent version
      START FRESH:
Next, if MSI Center, Mystic Light Module, Corsair iCUE, and Windows are all updated, you can try to clean it all out and start over.
      UNINSTALL/REINSTALL MSI COMPONENTS:
      Uninstall the Mystic Light Module
      Then Uninstall MSI Center
Uninstall the SDK too (Via Pop-Up) The pop-up box shown here th-cam.com/video/ZAwNrptAufY/w-d-xo.html
After uninstalling, restart the system and then re-install MSI Center (which will reinstall the newest SDK too), and then re-install the Mystic Light module, and see if that gets the board recognized in iCUE.
*We posted a video walking through a basic installation of MSI Center here:
      th-cam.com/video/ZAwNrptAufY/w-d-xo.html
      CHECK CORSAIR iCUE VERSION:
If the above update and re-installation attempts of those MSI components don't work, you could try to backup your iCUE profiles, uninstall iCUE, and then try a clean re-install of iCUE as well, just in case of any corruption issues with that previously installed program.
      BIOS:
If everything above fails, you might want to check into BIOS updates on MSI's Product Page, Support Tab, BIOS sub tab, and see how current the BIOS you have installed is when compared to those listed on the MSI downloads page. It might be something that was improved over BIOS releases.
      www.msi.com/Motherboard/MPG-B550-GAMING-PLUS/support#bios
There could also be the possibility that the board is not fully compatible with the SDK, but it's a board release from the past couple of years, so hopefully it is.
Let us know if the issue resolves.

    • @RedEyeCentral
      @RedEyeCentral  ปีที่แล้ว

@@timtoomuch There can be a lot of rocks to turn over, but let's see if we can look at some other angles to try to get it recognized...
Is this for onboard lighting or lighting plugged into the JRAINBOW/JRGB headers? There is some discrepancy about whether this works with onboard (Shroud, Chipset, I/O cover type) LED lighting; and if it does, how universal that support is across the product lines. But your motherboard should have RGB headers as well, so the motherboard should at least be detected within iCUE for access to those headers. The Z690 MSI Meg Ace that we used in the videos doesn't have any onboard lighting; the lighting being controlled was all plugged into JRAINBOW RGB headers.
With that out of the way, if it is lighting plugged into the RGB headers, you could try to update the BIOS>MSI lists several BIOS updates for the MPG Z790 EDGE WIFI since its release. If you haven't already, you could try to update the BIOS to the most recent version, which, if your motherboard is the one mentioned at the linked support page below, then it looks like the most recent BIOS version is:
      Version 7D91vH7
      Release Date 2023-07-13
      File Size 9.74 MB
      www.msi.com/Motherboard/MPG-Z790-EDGE-WIFI/support
If the BIOS is already updated or updating didn't resolve the issue, you could try to go through the steps below as well.
Did you already try Disabling and Re-enabling the LED at the BIOS level by: entering the BIOS, disabling the MOBO LED at the BIOS level, loading into Windows, then rebooting to re-enter the BIOS to re-enable the BIOS LED again, before rebooting back into Windows?
As we tried to walk-through here:
      th-cam.com/video/aMdKJWjKC4U/w-d-xo.html
Since you mentioned that you tried the other videos we had for this issue, one thing that comes to mind, if the above didn't trigger it and get it recognized, is to ensure the Mystic Light Module within MSI Center AND MSI Center itself are both updated. As seen at the following mark in the linked video: th-cam.com/video/ZAwNrptAufY/w-d-xo.html
Also, check to ensure Corsair iCUE is fully updated, along with the MSI Plugin within iCUE.
MSI Plugin update shown briefly starting at the point in the timeline of the video linked here: th-cam.com/video/aMdKJWjKC4U/w-d-xo.html
If that still doesn't get it recognized, then perhaps try to uninstall the MSI Mystic light module within MSI Center, uninstall MSI Center as well, and then uninstall the SDK.
Uninstalling MSI Center walk-through here, except do the opposite of what we mention in that video and uninstall the SDK too: th-cam.com/video/ZAwNrptAufY/w-d-xo.html
If uninstalling and then re-installing the MSI Center and the SDK alone didn't do the trick:
Then, uninstall MSI Center and SDK again, and uninstall Corsair iCUE. But, backup or note your profile preferences for your devices within iCUE, if desired, before uninstalling iCUE.
After that, restart the system and re-install both.
After MSI Center and Corsair iCUE are re-installed, don't forget to re-install both the Mystic Light Module within MSI Center and the MSI Plugin within Corsair iCUE.

It could be that something is corrupted within one or both programs, either within a Windows registry entry or the program folder, appdata, or another folder, causing one or both of the programs to still be associated with the old motherboard that is missing.
Uninstalling and then reinstalling might clear everything out and overwrite the previous installation that was associated with the old motherboard.

@@jer42688 Yes, the latest version of iCUE Core v. 5.5.134 with MSI Plugin version 2.2.0.0 is working on the Z690 MSI MEG ACE.
It can be glitchy to get it detected on some systems and it can require some steps to restart the program or service to keep it recognized. You can try to terminate iCUE and then re-open it a few times to see if that gets it working.

Also, you could try to completely remove the MYSTIC LIGHT MODULE within MSI CENTER, and then remove MSI Center and the SDK, and then remove the MSI PLUGIN with Corsair iCUE, and then remove iCUE (backup your lighting profiles first), and then restart and try to fresh install MSI Center, the Mystic Light Module, Corsair iCUE, and the MSI PLUGIN within iCUE.
