It's ridiculous that RGB has been popular for this long and we are still having compatibility issues. It doesn't surprise me though. Imagine things working properly.

I have an MSI B650 with Thermaltake Water cooler and Corsair Vengeance. I had the same issues. And now, whenever I lock my screen or similar, the link between MSI Mystic Light and the Corsair RAM is broken, requiring me to restart mystic light. This is very frustrating.
My MSI pre-built came with 2 sticks Kingston Fury DDR5, non RGB. Other elements of the rig are RGB, fans, MB, etc.. I ended up getting hooked on the lighting. So I purchased another kit of Kingston Fury DDR5, same as original kit but with RGB. So essentially, I have 1 kit of RAM with, and the other without RGB. Mystic light will not work. One card might work, the other not. Did resets, reloads of MSI Center, everything. Just doesn't seem to like 4 cards installed. If I run slots 2 and 3, works fine, but not with all DIMMs populated. Good thing I don't need 64 GB RAM anyway, just frustrating.
its been an absolute nightmare i have been troubleshooting random issues with program and sometimes system crashes trying to figure out a decent balance to get my fans and lights the way i like. Next step is remove icue control hub and wire fans to motherboard (MSI Z690 MPG Edge) to control fan curves and run mystic light, as it doesn't seem to cause and issue. I'm not looking for much as far as lighting affects, just the colors i want.
Nothing works for me. Sometimes my Corsair RAM and mouse randomly show up, most time not. I don't even have an on and off switch on my Mystic Light. MSI Center version. Just a huge headache. Lighting is a worse headache than actual PC troubleshooting. It's preventing me going all out on a nice lighting setup.
Hi Tone Retro Gaming, I can understand the frustration, my experience with it was flaky as well, I can get it to work, but it does weird things, it's not extremely robust. I like Mystic light for controlling the internal ports, but everything else can be hit an miss. For serious RGB lighting, i'd consider something else such as Corsair. Give Signal RGB a try as well, you might find that software does a good job of controlling your lights better. Good Luck and have fun with it!! Thanks for watching!!!
I have been having this issue for a while, I have a MSI z790 meg ace with Corsair vengeance Ram, the RGB would randomly stop working and at times my corsair h150i elite would flash red, the gif would freeze, my keyboard and mouse would glitch as well turning red. The only solution I would have is restarting my PC. Thank you for this video, I really needed it.
Could it be the connection from the commander to the cooler's display? I had a h100i, and when the commander cable seemed to be properly in, but was touched lightly, it would show the red triangle exclamation warning, although cpu temps would be ok. Perhaps my one just would not sit, and if out by a millimetre or two, was enough to show the wrong readings. The red display seems a common problem. Sometimes however, the system (or cooler) would think there was a high temp and shutdown, which may at worst I'm guessing be down to pump failure. Everything else seemed to be connected ok. The forums mention the red warnings happen with both the h100i and h150i. I remember reading some msi boards seem to have compatibility problems with these coolers and icue also
Had a lot of troubleshoot with my corsair icue system. Only solution i found was deleting msi oem software (msi center) and everything that came with it.
I had my RAM in mystic light until msi center had an update today and now its gone......I did all the stets several times and my RAM is not showing in mystic light...but it worked just fine before the update....I dunno what to do
I had this problem too. Uninstall Icue, then install the older version (4.33.138) . Now my Icue shows the RAM, and MSI center does too again. Neither app were showing me my ram before.
I have the msi meg z590i unify. It has one 5v led header. I just want to set the amount of led in msi mystic light, but cant find it anywhere. I have one led strip with 30 leds, and want the program to cycle only 30 leds. That something as important as a led count setting can not be found, or is not on the top of the settings menu, makes me miserable
Thank you for your videos. I am using the ASROCK Z790 PRO RS WIFI motherboard. I have been trying to get my iCUE H150i Elite Capellix XT to be recognized by the iCUE software with nothing but failures for the past 6 weeks. Unfortunately, Corsair Support has been less than stellar with classic "Your request (200604####) has been updated." being the only answer to my inquiries. I am in the process of replacing that AIO due to the fact that I got the red saw wheel of death one day and thusly no cooling. I am using an H100i Capellix with the same issue - that being not being recognized by the iCUE software. Any suggestions?
Hi Toby Horath, thanks for the report....I found it overall just flaky, but I never had much trouble getting iCUE to open. A few things you could try that I would probably try, without seeing it firsthand. I'd uninstall everything, reboot, and install iCUE by itself.....see if loads up and you have control over the RAM... If so, install the latest version on Mystic, if that causes ICUE to not load, it would be unusual to cause that. If it does cause icue to fail to load, uninstall Mystic and see if icue resumes loading just for further proof that Mystic is causing the issue. I'd maybe play around with mystic light's settings if so, turn off the overwrite third party RGB and things like that to see if you can even get iCUE to load. I'd maybe uninstall icue and delete all the profile/data along with it. If it's still a problem, try installing dragon center instead of msi center, just to see if it will play nice. Make sure you have version 4.x of icue as well. You could try the older 3.x version if your hardware is older as a troubleshooting step.....beyond that, Might have to look at windows event logs, or iCUE's logs....or reinstall windows. Let me know what you find if you get it working.....Thanks for watching!
Mine just doesn't work at times. It randomly refuses to start up. I have done everything including a clean OS reinstall. It's random, absolutely random.
i will never buy corsair again, i have keyboard, mouse and cooler h100x elite that the rgb lights wont turn on and it doesnt get detected, the corsair support sucks, they just lot a client, i have to mek 2 more gaming pc and i wont be buying anything corsair.
Yeah flaky. If I had known I'd need a degree in lightology to work Corsair Ram I'd just gotten something else. Looks like Corsair can be amazing ... after you study six months. Why does everything computers have to be so esoteric and subtle? Oh, and SMALL.
Hi tomjones4318 , we are all right there with you feeling your pain!!! Instead of Mystic light, do try SignalRGB and/or OpenRGB, they will work with your MSI motherboard and might ease the pain a bit!! Good luck and thanks for watching!!!
Hi Grenic, I can't completely disagree with you! If all I were going to use was the onboard motherboard port and lighting, Mystic Light is fine, but adding CORSAIR.....Flaky!!! Appreciate the comment, it's true, haha. Thanks for watching!!!!
