Excellent video and brilliant commentary! This is proper old-school TH-cam! Straight to the point, timelapse the unnecessary and no bollocks...
I'd be really interested in future videos about your welding techniques - I know you said there are always those who just need to shit themselves over how you're doing your job wrong, but if they had any nous, they'd know to learn from every craftsman.
Refreshing to see good no nonsense work without the hype.
definitely one of the best on youtube. Another good one is Badass Welding Videos
The best welder in that workshop!!!
Just keep going!!
Great videos, it's nice to see the fab side of the work instead of just 20 minutes of arc shots.
Great video, I spent many year using the Fronius as a boilermaker and certified welder on everything from aluminium to stainless and carbon steel and both solid wire and flux core, much of which was either UT or X-ray tested. They are intimidating at first but are so easy once you get used to them. And it great to see you showing the fabrication of the jobs.
I’ve never done pipe welding but I’m loving the videos and thanks to you learning something new keep them coming 👍👍
I didn't think anywhere in the world still did piece rate. Like your videos
Wonderful videos , a really insight as to how a commercial welder works.
All those tricks and skills, well impressed.
One of my first apprentice roles in the fab shop after making sure the tea boiler was topped up was to make templates from 2”-8” from caff sheet.
Love the flange jig - beats holding it and saying to the welder “if it looks ok stick a ticky tac on it plz” 😂
Calvin you do all that alone the real deal
i see alot of the things i am doing wrong and the things i am doing right when im watching your video. Only been using a pulse machine for a year and i still feel like i dont know that machine yet. Keep up the good work.
Beautiful Arc shots
Love your comment on "every now and again i have to fight the pipe " (on the rollers)
I did a job of 6" pipe a while ago with 90° and flanges. And made a Y splitter to fit to PVC underground pipe. All cut and tacked on site and welded on the floor. 😁
kudos on the solid work, mate!
YES! Please show us how you make your turning handles and counterweights. You're doing a great job! Keep it up Calvin! I'm so glad I found your channel. I really enjoy your content.
You got it! Thanks 👍👍 ive got a few videos to edit in the mean time but i will defo make one

Great vid mate
You do good work!
hello how often do you change the filter in the shield with this so much grinding?
Mate your mig welding skills are stush no worries do you get me bro 👍
Hi really enjoying the content, I'm interested in knowing where these pipes are going? Interesting work. Thanks for sharing.
Good work brother.
I congratulate you bro, I love watching your videos and I watch many welding channels but as you work, few do. I have always wanted to learn to weld pipes and nothing that I did.
Awesome job.
Brilliant kelvin
Really really nice vids. :)
Perfect Job!!!
Hi, enjoying your vids, just wondering what wire size you are using at those voltages. Thanks, AJ.
Ottimo lavoro 👍😉
Kelvin got it easy Mush !
Love your channel...what kind of pressure do these pipes run?
what settings do y have on the weld when y do the root and cap
Its nice to see the branch set up correctly with a good gap! I've been a marine pipeworker /welder for 25years. Good skills mate! 💪
defiintely interested in the counter balances and the rolling bemch, I can see how you make the turning handle would be interested to know what you use for the captains wheel style turning bracket.
Have your shop look into stone cones. The attach to a regular grinder and allow to clean up the inside of the saddle cuts alot easier. And get yourself a pipefitter blue book, it has the ordinates for different size branches. You can also download an app called Lateral Pipe. Its a blue and white icon with a pic of a saddle on it. It works with metric too
thanks for that im going to invest in all of them, im always open to make my job easier
Nice video 👍
The code you described is similar to the plumber code in Canada. We call it B31.9.
Very good brother
what do you think about the fronius machines as im thinking of buying the 2200 or maybe the 2700 single phase also 3 phase machine transteel any surgestions as i weld 2 to 6 mm steel welding tables at home.cheers
well done!
Thanks
Good video
Very good
What pipe roller stands do you have?? I'd like to have a few sets of them in my shop
Where did you get the spider clamp
What brand are those roller stands?
what's that spray you using for the template
also your the only welding beads out there from fronius no stack of dimes anywhere thats why im hesitant on this machines was going for a rebel esab 235ic
I really enjoy watching how you fabricate. If you feel like making a video about the counter weights, I would like to see. I know there are plenty of videos on how to weld but I think you have a good opinion and would like to see/hear your take on it. Thanks for all the great work!
хорошая работа!
Bad ass videos!
I had a similar job only the chambers where half the size and they wouldn’t let us use mig in the root or to tack because they wanted the insides of chambers smooth and spatter free. We also used positioners with fixtures that would bolt to the flange holes and we would spin the positioner plate by hand.
Top de mais essa solda 👍
can we get more arc shots next pls?
Do you work for Volvo?
Hello ;)
Are you always doing penetration without pulse?
Good
what is this welding machine model. Greetings from Poland
The tunnel 😂
Вы super Welder 👍👍👍👍👍👉
someone tag Jody 🤙 greetings from Australia
very nice...enjoying all off your videos...thanks for sharing...one question only what do you think off metabo grinder heard it is very powerfull...like the big videos and the small ones because i love the subject i can see either one big or small....
i used to use bosh grinders but they all broke one by one, only my 9" bosh survived. The metabo grinder is thicker then the bosh so its harder to hold comfortable, my only issue
@@ARCONEWELDING Me personally i use 5" dewalt because its thinner and lighter more confortable than bosch and use 9"bosch,...but i my company we also have 5" bosch and usually breaks down faster than dewalt...i heard good about metabo but here theres not many places that sell them i will order online...thanks...
@@MarioMoreno82 Metabo is good, try Fein if you can get it. I'm on a Fein at the moment (was using protool, then bosch), now I'm on the variable low speed Fein for doing stainless and it's a beast.
Hi great video. Do you do any stainless steel pipe work? Or have any videos more or less the same but in stainless?
i agree with what you say about welding....i think the fabrication is much more interesting and everyone as a diferent style off welding....
Use large carriage bolts for handles
Please tell me what kind of lens are you using to film this? brand and shade number please
We like a nice slag
I like Your work. Fast And tidy. Do u ever USE dual shield flux core? We do every weld with dual shield flux core. Roots we USE a metal cored wire hyundai sc-70-t cored. ITS just lovely to weld roots with. Works nice on low currents. And we USE hyundai supercored 81mag. And hyndai supercored 71t. Makes nice welds in every positions.
You use metal core wire for your root? I'm interested in how you do that? I'm trying to check out how other people weld pipe since my co-workers only use 6010 & 7018
Donovan Morris you can use metal core or hard wire. I prefer hardwire for all passes but I’ve used metal core, hardwire and flux core. Flux core is old school and lower quality with a tendency to trap slag. Hardwire is the cleanest of all of them. Flux core is the fastest.
George Hovey Jr I cant agree on lower quality. IT has better quality then solid wire.
Donovan Morris yes we do almost every root with metal core wire. Somtimes downward. You can go low on amps And IT have excellent properties if there is big openings. No problem welding 6 mm gap. But we dont USE more than 3 mm gap size.
I'm fascinated by these videos and want to become a welder/pipe welder one day can I ask how much you earn?
how about tig
Show us then counterweights bro?
👍 hay
