Two useful console commands for when the game screws with you:
*_TCL_* - Toggles Clipping
*_TGM_* - Toggles Godmode
Those should help with situations like when the Ferryman dropped you in the water. Entering the same commands again turns them off.
Aye, was gonna start looking into console commands if it happened again haha
*_Allegedly_* the mod I suggested long ago can cause problems. Without going into detail, I think it's a bunch of baloney.
But, I should probably do the responsible thing and suggest an alternative anyway. (If you use it, remove *_Loading Times Fix_* as it will become redundant).
It's called *_High FPS Fix._*
It works because Fallout 4's asset streaming speed is tied to the game's framerate.
*_By boosting it only during loading screens,_* they get sped up significantly.
Only downside is that loading screens won't have a backdrop anymore.
Below are my config settings for *_High FPS Fix._* Feel free to change the -struck variables- if you need to, but leave the rest as follows:
UntieSpeedFromFPS=true
DisableiFPSClamp=true
-EnableVSync=true-
AllowTearing=false
DisableVSyncWhileLoading=true
DisableBlackLoadingScreens=false
DisableAnimationOnLoadingScreens=true
-PostloadingMenuSpeed=2-
InGameFPS=0
-ExteriorFPS=60-
-InteriorFPS=60-
LoadingScreenFPS=350.0
LockpickingFPS=60.0
PipBoyFPS=0.0
NumOfThreadsWhileLoadingNewGame=1
-FramerateLimitMode=0-
Again, *_if_* you get this, you should ideally remove the mod I suggested way back when. In my tests, this achieves the same loading speeds.
Oh I've tried several things at this point. It seems to just be something that happens when recording as well as the recording software scans for it (to know what to record) and seems to potentially clash at times causing crashes. So... we'll just have to live with it haha
