I've seen that blooper. I agree, it was really cute. Ross was trying to get Ben to say "Dada," but getting no response. The thing was, when David Schwimmer said that line, the young boy had no way of knowing that David wasn't really asking him to say "Dada." So he responded to David's coaxing by saying "Dada." That happened at least twice. It ruined two takes, but it was absolutely adorable. :)
for once and for all: Cole who played older Ben couldn't be on Friends anymore since the end of season 8 onward, so exactly at the time when Emma was born because Cole simply got a better, lead, regular role on a Disney show. So he chose a better role, and he didn't have time for Friends anymore. This is why we never saw Ben meeting Emma on screen, we only know for sure that they met off-screen. So it's not that Friends showrunners and writers forgot about Ben, but quite simply, life happens, and Cole moved on, and this wasn't Friends creator's fault or their choice!
Shut the fuck up! Ross is the best. He's not annoying. Kaash na ho! Ross is the best. He remains friend with Rachel forever. Kaash na ho! Kaash na ho! Kaash na ho! Kaash na ho! Kaash na ho!

Well, it may have shown here in comic way, but watching your first child saying his first word and going away from you is one of the worst thing for a father.
I like when Ross gets along with Susan and Carol. Susan especially was so nasty in season 1, im glad they made her get along and be a little nicer to Ross afterwards.
As much as I dislike Ross, this was such a nice moment. Seeing him so excited over Ben saying bye over and over again was nice (I have a soft spot for when parents get excited over their babies firsts). Almost makes me like him for a moment.
I always thought it was a little heart-breaking that Ben's first word was "bye." Like he heard it so many times going back and forth visiting parents, it became his first word.
Rachel is doing pretty great with Ben here. She looks beautiful and adorable as usual. ❤️ And of course, Ben is cute and adorable with his 'hi' and 'bye'. 😂
Hi. May I ask why? Is it because she's a lesbian? I hope not otherwise you would be a fucking homophobe. I love Susan. She's one of the best lesbian characters in television.
Danielle Dixon Hi. May I say it’s because she’s awful? If it was due to her being lesbian, then they would’ve said Carol, too. She ruined Ross’ first committed relationship, and she treated Ben like he wasn’t Ross’ kid.
Danielle Dixon umm maybe because she stood in the way of a functioning marriage, maybe because she thinks that she is more important in Ben’s life than Ross the TRUE father, and maybe because she treats Ross badly.
Hehhehehehe! So cute! My oldest said 'hi daisy.' to our dog. Her first words and a sentence. All at once, it took her a month to do it in front of someone. I wondered if I'd imagined the whole thing. :) Kids are so funny.
That is cute. My sisters first words were a sentence too. There was a character in DIsneyland at the character breakfast she was scared of and she reached her hands out to my parents in her highchair and said "I want to get out"
That's a lot like me. My dad always greeted the cats with, "Hi, cat" when they came up to him. When I was just four months, one of the cats came and rubbed up against the leg of my high chair, and I said, "Hi, cat" just like my dad. Needless to say, they freaked out.
Ross is clearly a great father u could ask for, instead of embracing that side of him show writers chose to make him miserable for Rachel for the rest of the show
"He said bye to me! He said bye to me!!"
His reaction was so sweet
@Arima Pendragon What was also sweet was in the beginning seeing Jennifer kissing Ben's fingers as he's sticking them out to her face. Very cute.
Absolutely correct .
As a father myself, I can totally relate to how Ross reacted, that's exactly how I felt when my son started speaking
He said bye to me! He said bye to me!! His reaction was so sweet
