Thank you, the books I’ve been receiving from the collection I bought a few months ago have been exceeding expectations. I have 9 more coming back this week
I’ve always felt Bat man # 2 is somewhat under appreciated-most collectors can’t afford a 1 but 2 is the second appearance of the Joker-still very key-great haul and congrats on owning a bat man super grail
You can't beat golden age cover artwork. They're phenomenal, and really pull you in. I'm much less impressed with the interior artwork on most of them though. My Captain Marvel's and Blue Beetle's from the 40's for example are drawn very amateurish. Almost cartoonish in the way they're drawn. But those covers.....wow.
WOW! Some great books here! Glad you were able to get lower prices from the estate sale, especially with that drive involved. Congratulations on your new comics!
Thank you CC! And I always have to barter a bit, but they were very nice with negotiating at the estate sale, made the drive worth it. I’m currently cleaning and pressing 181 so I can get it graded
Congrats I honestly thought that Batman 181 was the Grail lol. Awesome pick ups. I have a big Batman grail coming in a few weeks and can't wait to film that unboxing.
There's just something about Golden Age books that I really love. Idk if it's the simple covers that pop out at you or it's the fact that I'm holding a book that my grandfather saw on in a store and possibly held which takes me back to simpler times. Just love them! That's a great pickup!
Thank you Skye, and couldn’t agree more! The slight oversized feel of the book adds to the greatness too. My grandpa was born in the 30s and still shares his memories as a child picking up books (when he could afford them) as a child.
Very nice Bats book. As to the estate sale - my experience is hit or miss. But the thrill of the hunt & possibilities seem to always make it worthwhile.
I don’t mind sharing at all and I was suppose to mention it in the video 😂 I was toooo excited! So the dealer had it priced at $5,500 and I offered $4,500, which after a bit, he accepted. The seller Jordy is great and always has excellent and rare golden/silver age books. I recommend his shop if you are in the market. He currently has a Batman 4 that I am also considering buying from him (if it’s still available)
Great looking books 👍

Subscribed, because I love some golden age grails!!!

Wow great job Chico.
Cool

😂 I have definitely been wanting a Bat181 but the true grail is the Bat2! Single digit Batman with a HUGE 2nd appearance of my favorite character.

All of the early Batman issues with the large trade dress are stand- outs!
I have a restored #2. Looks nice

Thank you and yes the thrill is one of the best parts, especially if there are other great books that I wasn’t expecting to be in the mix!
Beautiful awesome book I'm also interested in getting a Batman 2 if you don't mind how much did you pay Raw thanks😊

If it’s DC it’s for me! Nice Man!
Congrats on the Batman 2 and the estate sale wins
LOVE IT! Same for me, my grandpa and I have always gone deep into the DC lore so I’ve
Focused my collection on DC the last several years
wow incredible book! Remove the restoration and have it graded
That’s the plan! Btw I think I will do a CGC prayer like you did recently for your submission Sticky! May the GRADING GODS SHINE DOWN ON US!
How much was that Batman 2
The dealer had it priced at $5,500 but we ended up striking the deal at $4,500
I feel bad you still overpaid
