Amazing video!👍👏 I just began my comic book collection and found Toon Haven. They have an incredible range of digital comics for every genre, including the hard to find ones. Lifetime updates too!😁
Okay, I admit it. I came in here prepared to make a sinical comment about how your top twenty-five books are the same as every other TH-camr out there. Then you totally blew that opportunity out of the water with this amazing and unique collection.
To quote a most excellent movie…”You know, Lloyd, just when I think you couldn't possibly be any dumber, you go and do something like this... and totally redeem yourself!” 😂 thanks for watching and appreciate it too! Thank you
Thank you appreciate you watching and those are some of my favorites. I’m currently on the quest for an Amazing Fantasy 15, Detective 140, and pre-Robin detective comics
Thank you and as an 80s baby, I grew up on Batman Animated series, old Super Friends, and Batman comics. Don’t get me wrong I do love Marvel Comics BUT I’ll always be a hardcore DC fan for life 💥
Thank you and I know it’s a pricey book but still in my opinion GROSSLY undervalued first appearance. And to be honest, I had set aside some money and saved for about a year to a year and a half waiting for the right showcase 22 to come up. Hope you are able to get yours at some point! Thanks for watching.
Thanks for watching! And good question on the Batman 234. IMO the Bronze Age began with Green Lantern 76 (1970) but Batman 234 did come out 1971. I’m not sure the designation, but from what I’ve seen in Overstreet, on Heritage, gocollect, and CGC, it has been designated as the first silver age appearance for over 25 years (from what I’ve found). 🤷🏻♂️
@@chicoscomics yeah, I'm aware, I just don't understand why... Maybe bc he never appeared in the silver age? Idk , just never made sense 2me! Thx l! Have a great day
Thank you for watching! I’ve actually been a big fan of your channel for a while now Alan, you’ve got some amazing books yourself! I actually coincidentally just bought a copy of Power Comics 50 this week….then saw your video whereas you got one too, nice pick up!
Great video! *New Sub* to help you reach that 1K! 😁 Just started collecting (again) after many years, looking forward to my first "personal grail" soon! Skol ~ Bjorn
Thank you for watching and no kidding that is how I got to where I am today in my collection. I’ve taken the stance that if I can replace the book with relative ease (in terms of availability), then sell it and get books that are a bit more rare. Selling has also helped me in affording some of these pricier books too
Good question, but let me ask, if you were setting a budget, what would the price range be and I would make recommendations based on that. Thanks for commenting and let me know!
@@chicoscomics I’ve been looking at Batman or Amazing Spider-Man. I would say few thousand dollars. I’m new to comics curious what keys or one book you would target for long term.
@@davidsamuelson2089 man I knew that one would be contentious! I was truly on the fence but it came down more to the significance of the book. And its slight professional resto on the Bat 2
Nice isdues but comics were made to be read, touch, feel and smell not encapsulated. I guess you just enjoy getting conics graded. I have a comic collection, and none are graded. All are in mylar with backing boards.
Funny enough is that I had most if not all of these raw and ungraded, so I did enjoy most of these books in my collection, read a few times, and enjoyed all of the art and stories before I got them graded at CGC. Everyone collects differently. My philosophy is that my high value books will be graded, as it is generally easier to quantify and determine value and sell when I need to. As you can see, most of these books high-value books ranging anywhere from $1k-$20k, so in my opinion it just makes sense to have them graded because I do sell parts of my collection when I prepare to buy a bigger book or grail. What kind of books do you keep in your collection? If it works for you then it works, but this is what works for me. Personally, I wouldnt want to keep a Showcase 4 or Detective 168 ungraded for too long...

I have some great comics only thing is none are in MINT condition but i'm happy to just have them.........
I think there’s nothing wrong with low grade books, I sure have plenty of low grade books too. Collecting comes in many forms and fashions!
