Funny enough is that I had most if not all of these raw and ungraded, so I did enjoy most of these books in my collection, read a few times, and enjoyed all of the art and stories before I got them graded at CGC. Everyone collects differently. My philosophy is that my high value books will be graded, as it is generally easier to quantify and determine value and sell when I need to. As you can see, most of these books high-value books ranging anywhere from $1k-$20k, so in my opinion it just makes sense to have them graded because I do sell parts of my collection when I prepare to buy a bigger book or grail. What kind of books do you keep in your collection? If it works for you then it works, but this is what works for me. Personally, I wouldnt want to keep a Showcase 4 or Detective 168 ungraded for too long...

Yes but at the same time I do feel they got a solid price in the books because it frees them of the time/effort it takes to list/grade/sell the books on their own as well as incur any other fees, etc. Sometimes it’s worth it for a seller to not make the full FMV based completely on convenience. It worked well for both parties imo 👏🏻

@@chicoscomics hey good morning anyway I have been a collector for many many years and I still have some of the big boys like Batman 1 5.0 restored amazing fantasy 15 6.0 no marvel champion totally amazing amazing fantasy 15 8.0 restored no trimming tales of suspense, 39, 8.5 X-Men 1 7.0 fantastic four 48 9.6. The point I am trying to make is those people are very ignorant about Comic Books and apparently they had them for quite a while.. it’s not a pain in the ass to just throw those on eBay and you would have made thousands of dollars.. the point is there are still lots of people that think comic books are not worth anything. When I was a bartender in Connecticut people laughed in my face when I told them I buy Spider-Man X-Men Iron Man.. and I told them when I don’t do anything at all except go to New York Yankee games you will not laugh anymore. If people just bought the early appearances 15 or even 10 years ago, you would probably not have to ever work again.. to do that now you would have to hit lotto. There are still lots of people that are totally clueless.

I've been looking for a well priced copy for no-kidding close to two years. I had the alert set on ebay for HoS92 and when I saw this one, decided to take the gamble.

@@chicoscomics I’ve been looking at Batman or Amazing Spider-Man. I would say few thousand dollars. I’m new to comics curious what keys or one book you would target for long term.
