Shu this episode of watching Brandon tour his new house was inspirational. I like seeing people achieving their dreams and putting in the work to make their vision into a reality. Can't wait for another update and see how this house is going to turn out after Brandon adds his renovations. Keep up the good work Shu!

It's a nice house on a large lot (240 tsubo ish). Quite large inside. 53 tsubo ish. Much larger than the average house in Japan. The inside is more impressive than the very standard outside. The ceilings are absolutely amazing in some rooms. Kitchen does need an update. I understand wanting to make some rooms with Flooring. Hopefully he'll decide to leave the rooms he didnt know what to do with as they are. No need for a "projector". Just keep them as clean tatami only rooms that will look nice and clean all the time.
He definitely isn't the average akiya buyer. He must have some hefty savings and be earning US dollars. His rent in South Korea was 4x my house loan payments. That used house cost more than an average sized new house in most of Japan. And he wouldn't be paying loan installments. He bought it outright.
He's working the "pizza shop" idea to get his business visa but a pizza shop will definitely just be for the visa. His money comes from whatever he does remotely.
(I'm not complaining. These are just guesses. Good for him to be anle to do what he is doing).

It’s an awesome home. All the layouts are incredibly beautiful. High ceilings, balcony, large backyard, spacious bathroom, toilet, and parking space. The only downsize that each entrance to the room built too low for a tall person. If not careful, it can be dangerous. The price is little bit expensive for rural area. Overall. I love it. BTW, I always enjoy watching your show, very much entertaining. Keep it up 👍!!!

It's an incredibly beautiful home just as it is. I personally wouldn't need to change anything about it. If anything, I might consider upgrading the kitchen a bit with a stove and dishwasher, but it's really not even necessary as a single person. It's far too large for me, but he's probably counting on getting married and having children, so a family home will be needed.
One thing that I really respect about the family who owned this home originally is that they took such good care of it and handed it over in what appears to be pristine condition. I sincerely wish Brandon so well in his new home and I hope that he will be able to get the business visa that he needs.
I'm in the process of coming over to Japan to look at property, but for a single person with an office and maybe a guest room, and I hope to stay for 6 months while I around look at properties in Saitama, the beaches around Chiba, and a few other areas in/around the Greater Tokyo Metropolitan Area.

That is such a beautiful Akiyaki home.
$275k here in the US gets you a shack! 😂
I would love to own an akiyaki home as well. I've been trying to convince my husband for us to move to Japan too!! I have 1 kid, 1 toddler, and a baby. I want them to go to a good school. The education system in the US is getting so bad. Teachers wages/salaries are low, there's not enough fundings for improvements, school lunches sucks! They feed kids nasty unhealthy junk food (pizza, chicken nuggets, hamburgers). There's nothing nutrional about school lunches to help kids develop healthy habits, get enough nutrition for the brain or good health. My son's school food is sweet cereals & juice in the morning, then lunch is either a choice of burger, pizza, garlic cheese bread, or chicken nuggets, and milk or juice. (Like, seriously??) Nothing healthy or nourishing for the brain and body at all.
I heard other countries value education more. Like, teachers get paid more, government funds $$$ for improvements. Students gets higher test scores, healthy lunch (real homecook style food!!)
You don't see kids/teenagers fighting teachers.

after watching the previous video and this follow-up, I think Brandon made a good choice.
this property is decently sized and more modern built in 1999 and also closer to the train station. very convenient.
from the previous video, the 1st property was too big and the 3rd property was extremely far away in the countryside.
maybe the only downside of this 2nd property is the price. kinda too high. but this is just my own personal opinion.
    but regardless. congrats to Brandon!
very cool property. HUGE parking space for cars and nice plot of land to start doing decent farming. grow some vegetables.
