Shu san, It was an amazing video, thank you. Fujisan is just breathtaking as is the fact that it’s an active volcano. When doing your interview of the previous owners and your real estate colleague the importance of culture was highlighted as was language for those who may want to own a home in Japan. For this home you are in the presence of a true cultural landmark and one of great spiritual significance. I’m sure the new owners will learn and enjoy all that Fujisan has to offer in their new wonderful home. You’re doing great work in helping others enjoy a new home and everything that Japan has to offer. Best, Jeff
@@shumatsuopost You’re welcome Shu san. Have a restful Golden Week. I’ll be in Tokyo in May starting next week, and will plan on visiting some properties. Be well.

I’m surprised that many Chinese investors haven’t snatched up all the properties in Japan unless Japan has some restriction on Chinese foreign investment?
Are sellers of akiyas better than landlords in regards to anti-foreigner attitudes? I had a hell of a time looking for a company that will help me rent a property because so many even English speaking agents are on the side of landlords and refuse to give a reason (but it's obvious) why landlords knew they're renting to a foreigner but suddenly refuse to rent when they find out i have a Chinese last name.

This is interesting to watch, but for a long time I've predicted that the day is coming when Japan will not even be able to PAY foreigners to do this and even come to Japan to live. If something sounds too good to be true....that's usually what it turns out to be.
Japan would be wise to keep the strictest immigration policies possible. Yet, it seems they are loosening up, without regard for what that will mean. Bringing in South Asians to 'man" cash registers at three different Family Mart's 100 meters from each other really isn't necessary. You have the crowd who are pro-migration, seemingly let in anybody, and they are often the "Green" crowd at the same time. Never mind in their minds that bringing in people who consume at a much lower rate than they will in Japan is going to create more "carbon". They're rather confused. Japan's population is rapidly declining and projected to be about 80m. in 2050. If you buy in Japan you better select a property very high on "Location, Location," if you plan to rent it out. If you're living in it yourself and have a reason to stay, then no issue, most likely. However, with population decline you absolutely must select wisely if you plan to rent out. I see hundreds of empty houses nearby me, and I am in a major metropolitan area.
I think dude has it wrong on Japanese yen. Its going to crash very soon as the world realizes that the entire country missed the electric vehicle rise.
I had my eye on this property last year! Such a nice inside and I looooved the windows. Glad it went to a good buyer!
I love the way you assist your clients with the translations! 😊
Really appreciate you providing BOTH Japanese and English subtitles!
You're welcome! 🙏
Shu, thanks for the interview, very interesting!
Thank you for watching 😀
I thought the car conversation wasn't important, but it ended up being the most valuable part of the video.
thank you for all the information in your videos
My pleasure!
The one I liked the best so far was the artists home with garden and awesome studio space. 😅

Peter and his wife are absolute ballers , all properties are in heavyweight division. Respect
Technically, it is not an "Akiya". It is rural, but not abandoned.
空家 is “open house” or vacant house.
Doesn’t have to be rotted and forgotten
@@jamesricks - My house is vacant everyday while the occupants go to work.
I was denied permanent citizenship after 15 years in Japan because I was two days late for a tax payment.
wow so cool!
If a house was built before 1981, and renovated recently like 2020, is it considered earthquake proof #6 or #7?
What a beautiful place to live!
The Mt. Fuji view is amazing!
Mt. Fuji still alive like Sakurajima. Near Onsen area is so wonderful but....

It depends. But that's where we come in so that our clients don't have to deal with such sellers.

I need representation buying a house near ski and lake North of Osaka.
Why buy a house in Japan if you do not have permanent residency, which takes 10 years.
Question, I can't wait to see a reply for this.
Why not? Peter and his wife visit Japan very often.
@@shumatsuopost Given how homogenous and xenophobic the Japanese are, I am surprised they let Gaijin Tourists do this
Better the staying in Hotel 😂
LoL. Nope, you can get 2-3 year PR if you qualify. Extend for two more years and apply for citizenship. Not much different from Canada.
It’s a good video. I learnt a lot
Love to hear that! Thank you!
Amazing property ! And the price,,😊
It sure is!
I think the Japanese people would accept a Gaige’s neighbor if you showed respect for and interest in their culture! 😅😅

A house next to an active volcano 😅
The house is only 80K. It sounds like it is a pocket of change for him if volcano wakes up.
