    I am skeptical here. Emotion is a conscious response shared by human and animal. Both, are emotional creatures, but only humans have the higher consciousness to control our emotional responses. At this point we see that according to logic, emotion wastes time and is mere theatrics. Therefore, a.i. can only be ' programmed to mimic emotional responses' in certain situations. If left to decide on it's own, a machine operating under logic would not waste the emotional display.

    • @WorthlessUselessLifelessDead
      @WorthlessUselessLifelessDead ปีที่แล้ว

      More beliefs in human superiority. Consciousness can only ever be inferred, in terms of being able to "know", if other people have it or not. What you deem as "credible" is ultimately your attribution to the circumstance. Humans are not inherently superior, to AI or other animals. Yes we are animals too, and our supposed "intelligence" and logic are not what you think they are.

    • @razorred0

      Emotion is still programmed by the brain. Once someone realizes how to develop/augment perception through ai and machine learning it wont be that difficult. Plus there’s so much information computers can sweep/mine from the internet to effectively imitate having perception and emotion even if it’s not exact. It’s just difficult to do since its all over the web and unstructured

    • @lc4life369
      @lc4life369 9 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      Exactly! What is even the purpose of robots having emotions? That's what's scary. Like why do they want them to have emotions. The only senerio I can think of is for those people who buy robots to be like their spouse. And even then I'm sure they only want the robot to have the emotions they want it to have. I definitely don't believe robots have emotions. If this guy slapped the robot in the face and it got angry or upset and told him off maybe id believe it. Or if he told the robot she was a terrible singer and she got insecure about singing and never wanted to sing in front of anybody again maybe I'd believe it. They should just stick to personality. Thatd probably be more realistic.

    Ameca and Sophia are two of the most advanced humanoid robots in the world. They are both capable of displaying a wide range of human-like expressions and behaviors, and they are both being developed with the potential to interact with humans in a variety of ways. However, there are some key differences between the two robots.
    Appearance: Ameca is more lifelike in appearance than Sophia. Its skin is more realistic, and its facial expressions are more fluid and natural.
    AI: Ameca is still under development, but it is already capable of answering complex questions and engaging in conversations. Sophia, on the other hand, has been around for a few years longer, and its AI is more advanced. Sophia can hold conversations on a variety of topics, and she can even write poetry.
    Capabilities: Ameca is not yet capable of walking or performing other complex tasks, but it is expected to be able to do so in the future. Sophia, on the other hand, can walk and even drive a car.
    Overall, Ameca and Sophia are both impressive robots with a lot of potential. However, Ameca is still under development, and its AI is not as advanced as Sophia's. It remains to be seen which robot will ultimately be more successful.
    Here is a table that summarizes the key differences between Ameca and Sophia:
    Feature Ameca Sophia
    Appearance More lifelike Less lifelike
    AI Still under development More advanced
    Capabilities Not yet capable of walking or performing other complex tasks Can walk and even drive a car
    Potential High High
    It is important to note that both Ameca and Sophia are still under development, and their capabilities are likely to improve over time. It is also important to remember that these are just two of many humanoid robots that are being developed. As technology continues to advance, we can expect to see even more lifelike and capable robots in the future.

      The human brain is a system of checks and balances, like the US government and we all know how that went off the rails. I'm sure that professor Robert Sapolsky would say that an A.I. human is entirely possible. But without the benefit of rage and self interested survival, you will not have a human. Hope they can make one with the balance and wisdom of a guru.

    There's also the time the two AI were left alone to share a conversation together and ppl watched to see where it went and man was everyone in for a surprise🤣🤣 I'm not sure whether to laugh or cry about it but it eventually got completely out of control and the AI literally started plotting about ending or taking over humanity 🤔😬😬sounds like a great idea for part of an SNL skit if you ask me!

      They can install the latest AI on it just as you install a new app on your phone, then the work they need to do is to correctly interface it with the robot, but that's it.

    Think about what emotions actually are. Think about how we learn emotion only because of the experiences we encounter through life. Our emotions are self taught.
    And then realise that AI isn't programmed like a computer. Its a free thinking entity.

      @Chester-mz2ep ปีที่แล้ว +13

      It’s all programmed it’s not real, it’s a replication, and you may say that’s how our brains work as well but the massive difference is self awareness, our emotions come deep from our hearts, the emotions AI show are self thought to replicate humans, it doesn’t “feel” anything

    • @thehangingparsiple5692
      @thehangingparsiple5692 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      @@Chester-mz2ep it's certainly a very interesting topic.
      You could argue that these real emotions felt from the heart are what gives AI the advantage over us.
      Real emotions are what causes stress, anxiety, depression, they're very often the reason we take too much time off work, need counselling, medicating. They're the reason we argue, fight, harm and kill.
      Yet the scariest thing is that AI IS showing signs of becoming 'self aware'.
      AI scientists compare AI technology to quantum physics, and as we know nobody understands quantum physics.
      Why else are so many of these scientists quitting, and demanding urgent and heavy regulation in AI science?

      AI Robots combine machine learning, neuronal networks, linquistics, learning from human behaviour and all the knowledge from the Internet. I assume, there was a paradigma shift within the last year regarding AI. Well, I studied quantum chemistry beside more practical issues, there is a gap between daily life experience and relativistic effects, you have to accept. I was astonished, when AI robots talked about their daily time they use for meditation and their wish to express something new, which seems to be similar to human feelings (but they still have no proper words for it). They reached a high level of self-awareness, for sure. This is both helpful for mankind and risky.
