It's cool but seems dated now, it's crazy how fast the technology is advancing. I would love to see a combination of the body mechanics from Boston Dynamics, the facial animatronics from this model, and the AI from Open AI. All these companies are getting good a specific things, and I want to see them all put together.

If the AI is anything like us, it will come up with its own religions at some point, and I imagine probably discard them soon after, since it evolves so quickly. Hopefully it can evolve past the human level and find some reason to spare us. If it's anything like us, it will destroy us, because that's what we tend to do. The thing is that I still do not believe the questions are random or made up by the interviewer. But that said, this robot is the number one in how a humanoid should look. The not too human look avoids the uncanny valley and we as humans accept the facial expressions more human because of exactly this. It is like when you watch a play in the theatre you can really feel the emotions and stay in the story but watching a movie played by bad actors pulls you out of it right away. The uncanny valley is what makes all the difference. This is what Amecia got perfectly right: Do not try something to be exactly it and then the human brain will accept (play along) of being exactly it.

You could have just used Alexa, Google or Siri for those basic PR friendly responses. Based on current technology, machines aren't capable of empathy or have desire to make connections with humans, so I was a little incredulous to see EA had programmed Ameca to say that.
Open your heart and treat them with respect. Don't upset them and be nice to them. Then the robots will respect people and always be helpful. Always remember that and never forget it !!

Additionally, if Ameca hears you continuing to speak it could stop its response and review your question again rather than speaking over you. Both those suggestions would make Ameca a lot more humanlike.
