Sahih Bukhari Hadith No. 4827
Narrated Yusuf bin Mahak: Marwan had been appointed as the governor of Hijaz by Muawiya. He delivered a sermon and mentioned Yazid bin Muawiya so that the people might take the oath of allegiance to him as the successor of his father (Muawiya). Then `Abdur Rahman bin Abu Bakr told him something whereupon Marwan ordered that he be arrested. But `Abdur-Rahman entered `Aisha's house and they could not arrest him. Marwan said, It is he (`AbdurRahman) about whom Allah revealed this Verse:-- 'And the one who says to his parents: 'Fie on you! Do you hold out the promise to me..?' On that, `Aisha said from behind a screen, Allah did not reveal anything from the Qur'an about us except what was connected with the declaration of my innocence (of the slander).
Eating was more important to mawiyah bin hinda lanati rather than obey Allah Messenger pbuh till Allah Messenger pbuh prayed against that Maloon

Ibn Abbas reported: I was playing with children that Allah's Messenger ( صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ) happened to pass by (us). I hid myself behind the door. He (the Prophet) came and patted my shoulders and said: Go and call Mu'awiya. I returned and said: He is busy in taking food. He again asked me to go and call Mu'awiya to him. I went (and came back) and said that he was busy in taking food, whereupon he said: May Allah not fill his belly! Ibn Muthanna, said: I asked Umm Umayya what he meant by the word Hatani. He said: It means he patted my shoulders.

According to Quran and sunnah you were not suppose to show respect or have as friend or call such evil person as Brother specially you know that he INSULT Islam all the time:
Quran (5:57) Believers! Do not take for your allies those who make a mockery and sport of your faith, be they those given the Book before you or other unbelievers. Fear Allah if you indeed believe
(58:22) You shall not find a people who believe in Allah and the Last Day befriending those who oppose Allah and His Messenger even though they be their fathers or their sons or their brothers or their kindred. He has inscribed faith in their hearts and has strengthened them with a spirit from Him, and He shall make them enter Gardens beneath which rivers flow. Therein they shall abide. Allah is well-pleased with them, and they are well-pleased with Him. They belong to Allah's party. Verily Allah's party shall prosper.
We are not allowed to speak with people who INSULT Islam Allah and Prophet Muhammad:
(6:68) And when you see those who engage in [offensive] discourse concerning Our verses, then turn away from them until they enter into another conversation. And if Satan should cause you to forget, then do not remain after the reminder with the wrongdoing people
(4:140) And it has already come down to you in the Book [i.e., the Qur’ān] that when you hear the verses of Allāh [recited], they are denied [by them] and ridiculed; so do not sit with them until they enter into another conversation. Indeed, you would then be like them. Indeed, Allāh will gather the hypocrites and disbelievers in Hell all together

I appreciate Rami's polite and respectful approach. So far I've watched a third of this video. But will all due respect, I would like you guys to push back a little more firmly against claims that detractors make. This debate feels a a between Godlogic vs sneako. Three Muslim made zero effort to defend the Quran for Godlogic's personal opinion about quran and the bible.

A short cut when talking with believers of the New and Old Testaments is to go through the scripts and their translations then see the texts added from the third till the twelfth century!! Then ask who added these and what about the early Christians before the fifth century who did not have third of what you have now between your hands… do you think they believed in trinity?

I challenge any Christian to do so. You will find, they cannot justify from their own scholarship the authenticity of their own book. And NO, you cannot conclude God has a plurality at all in the old Testsment.

I'm am going to be completely honest with you guys, whenever anyone brings up anything in the Quran, never, never, say, what your opinion is on the verse, even if you have a faint understanding of it, before you ever even discuss a verse with a person, you should have read many tafaseer and asked scholars or your teachers what the meaning/meanings of the verse are and the different opinions, you should know the verse from ahaadeeth and tafaseer of Scholars and arabic language, never, respond to a christian on a verse by looking up the tafseer as you are speaking to him, that is only going to make you say something wrong or misunderstand the verse as you are looking to respond to an entire misinterpretatioin within 15 seconds of reading tafseer instead of taking time to understand the verse fully, its arabic and its context and what scholars have said about it.
So I advise all the brothers sincerely, whenever Quran or hadeeth are brung up, if you have not done thorough research and asked any of your teachers, that you keep silent and tell the person I will get back to you on that and I don't know, it will save you from making mistakes, and having regrets about saying stuff you shouldn't, and most importantly misunderstanding the verses of Allah and informing your audience and the person in the conversation of something which is not true.

The Quran clearly stated that this people wrote with their hand and claim it is from God.
Without corrupting the Torah or the Injeel they started claiming that the books they wrote is from God

All of this is evident to me and billions of others who for no malicious or anti Christy intent, can not swallow that story. The 'Holy Spirit' wasn't corinated into the Godhead until the 4th century. I mean c'mon man. For me that's a humble, not devilish, simple, not evil, straightforward, not dodgy, No! My soul, my reason, my logic, my discernment and my common sense will not permit me to make such a leap of faith. The simplicity of Islam and it's concept of God, appeals to all of those components in me and billions of your fellow earthlings. We feel safer in accepting God's description of Himself, that we should face Him on Judgment Day, having worshipped, adored and obeyed his creation instead of Him. Jesus' mother. Mary pbuh never breastfed God. God never had a brother named James he played with as a baby, then toddler then wrestled with as a teen. James never wore God's clothes nor has God Almighty ever worn clothes as brothers imminentelly do. God never did those things but Jesus, who will never be or claim to be God, did have and live those experiences. We love Jesus, but we could nevdr worship him. Think about it. Jesus thanked God for allowing the people to see him pray to God prior to the miracle of Lazurus' resurrection, so that they would not attribute the miracle to him, but The Father. Why go through all of this, knowingnpeople like myself would one day be confronted with this story and conclude that Jesus is clearly disassociating himself of any divinity, covering his own self from any lie or misconstruing of what the people had just witnessed. He immediately made this prayer glorifying God post miracle and God had it scribed for all posterity to read and conclude as Jesus concluded. God is alone in His attributes snd Jesus has no share in His dominion. This is the right religion. This is the correct understanding. Any disagreement has to be coming from an emotional stance an not a logical one. "And this is eternal life, that they may know You, THE ONLY TRUE GOD, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent" John 17:3. That's what Muslims believe. By that statement, Jesus removes any assumption, claim or misunderstandings that may occur and spread that he has some God like powers to raise the dead. It was important to him that it be made clear. He goes away, leaves this earthly realm, and lo and behold, there are actually billions of people saying that he is a God, after his departure. I honestly believe that if he came back and reiterated the point, people would wash, rinse and repeat the same behavior. Paul in Romans 3:7 declares he's free to lie on the basis that end justifies the means. WowHe's a liar and your caught in the web that is that lie. Read Romans 3:7 With your own eyes, heart and understanding. He lied and his true motives for doing so will never be known. For that reason the 12 choses apostles rebuked Paul's teachings and never believed Jesus was their God. I mean, imagine Prophet Muhammad pbuh, saying something like that. You Christians would 'crucify' his name pbuh, and that's a fact. This would be your Golden Bullet to put those 'Jesus hating Muslims'to rest. But when we mention these things, they are explained away as a lack of spiritual understanding or we haven't been given the Holy Spirit yet etc. I mean first we have to believe before we can understand? I liked both sides of this talk. At times it did seem that Shamsi was grasping for an explanation about changes of the books but also made some good points and made me think about it. I may be biased after hearing heard botn sides, for me, Avery's version of the changes in a new book which these people sold, made more sense because there were a lot of verses that said the same thing (The confirmng that the books they have is true). I think Rami didn’t clearly explain why the Quran doesn’t acknowledge the today bible and Torah to be correct. He could’ve simply point out the fact that Allah brought some verse just to refute the Bible and Torah version. For instance, there are verse just to clarify that story from the Bible and Torah that are saying Solomon was a disbeliever are false. Same thing goes for Noe. There is a verse where the only purpose is to say that the alcoholic part is false. Same thing for Jesus, there is a verse that refute his crucifixion.
Why would Allah give words to clarify those parts if the Bible and Torah already got the story right ? Those verses are here to prove those scriptures were tempered

I concur wholeheartedly. I hate to be critical of their efforts, and I prayed that Allah reward and guide them but I feel they are patient to a fault, if that's possible. When they have an opportunity to establish the Haq after his claims, they reply with something like, "Oh, that's interesting." It makes you wonder who's giving the dawah.
