@@vintageaudioaddict Ever notice that, in new equipment, the more expensive it is, the less chance it is to be bench tested? Particularly for turntables.
I’ve had a Peachtree Nova 300 for a couple years now. Absolutely love the amp. Have it paired with a set of SVS Ultra Towers and the combination is excellent!! Couldn’t be happier!
I had to send the Nova 300 back as it sounded thin with my Definitive Technology Demand 17’s. It’s such a beautiful amp but that’s secondary to synergy. My thrift store AVR opened my speakers up.
Very nice and valuable information. Can you let us know, as to what is the change in output (wattage) for each increment of the blue volume indicator lights? It would be very helpful to all in matching the output to the speakers, as it is an easier way for all to understand and execute in the absence of a test rig. Thanks. I own a Nova 300 coupled to Klipsch R51Ms and Klipsch sub.
Awesome review. I have Nova300 paired with Mirage Oasis Omni 6 (outdoor/indoor)speakers and an NHT SW10 Sub. Any comment on whether I should get better speakers? I like them for their size and looks. Sound is acceptable but not sure if it would make a significant difference, getting a different set of speakers. Any comments on my speakers being paired with the Nova300?
My Peachtree Nova 300 has gone up in smoke twice. I bought it 24 months ago and its been in the shop for 8 of those months. It now does not sound as good as it did when I first got it.
Thank you very much. I didn't go over 20k. I did sweeps with my sigmal generator from 20hz-20khz. I'm an old guy and the vintage stereo equipment was always bench tested back in the day. I just thought I'd try a little bench testing on a modern unit. I'm a vintage stereo equipment guy but the Nova300 is impressive. Thank you again for your kind words.
@@vintageaudioaddict Actually good response out to 30-40khz according to stereophile test I just saw. I have lots of vintage - all starting to breakdown!
Some great info but for the sake of god, hold that bloody camera steady. It's awful to watch.....given this is a video review....just sort it out. Cheers.
Just bought one of these, and in a buyer's panic looked for real evidence for my ears. Thanks for this old school test for old school ears.
Your welcome and thank you for viewing. I never see any real bench testing for the new audio equipment so I thought why not do a little.

That's an awesome device for testing real world results of claimed specs!
Thanks for watching.
I love my Nova300 paired with my Tekton Pendragons. A real value imo.
I'm a vintage guy but my Nova300 is really an impressive piece of equipment. As you said hard to beat for the money.
My decware CSP and Taboo cannot drive the Pens to much volume though lol.
A good friend of mine has the Peachtree amp500 and it is incredibly strong! Nice testing on the Nova300!

which AVR is it?
@@WeeWeeJumbo The Sony STR-DE835. I picked it up for 20 bucks about five years ago.
Sometimes that happens. Certain combination of equipment just don't like one another.
Thank you sir I’ll definitely get one soon just because you man

I'm sure that sounds good but their are a lot of speakers that would sound great with the nova. Look at the Goldenear 7's or the Tekton lore.

Oh Man, that stinks. It's terrible when you purchase a product and it's disappointing.
@@vintageaudioaddict Peachtree contacted me today, they are sending me a new Nova 300.
Great vids.
Thanks a lot for your kind words.
Nice test! Any usable signal over 20khz? For us vinyl purists...

is it possible to connect a subwoofer to this amp?
Yes, it has a preout which will accommodate a subwoofer.
