    Blazer brass is extremely consistent and used it for years. It's my go to ammo for plinking and competition if I can't reload in time.

    I’ve shot most of the cheaper training loads available to me locally - Blazer brass and aluminum, Fiocchi and Magtech - and these all were reliable without any issues. No light primer strikes, failure to feed or extract and all relatively accurate and consistent. Winchester white box is good for one thing only - learning malfunction clearance. In a box of 50, I had 6 light primer strikes and 2 stovepipes. It’s horrible stuff and I’ll never buy it again. Throwing rocks is more successful. Another great video and it matches my experience with Blazer brass. It’s good and consistent while not breaking the bank.

    Never had a single issue with any pistol with blazer. 115, 124, 147, aluminum, brass, other calibers, too. Not the most accurate compared to some stuff, but not bad and definitely consistent in my experience.
    WWB 115 has been a little more accurate but... For the purpose it serves of training and plinking, I'll take whatever's cheaper on the shelf that day.

    Thank you. Appreciate the information and perspective. I think that most of the 115 ball ammo Winchester, Remington, Federal, S&B and CCI seem to fairly dirty and smoky. Armscor is really dirty. The seemingly "cleanest" I have used of late is the Fiocchi USA. As a reloader some brass is "better" than others. I actually like the CCI & Fed brass. It tends to be less "sticky" and is 'smoother" running. Appreciate the content.

  • @plantguy100
    @plantguy100 6 หลายเดือนก่อน +5

    Blazer is a CCI/Federal product which is excellent. It's also consistently among the cheapest 9mm available. Of the 6,000 or so rounds I've shot over the past 6 mos, about 65% has been Blazer, 25% Magtech, 5% Ammo Inc., 3% S&B and 2% Winchester Red Box. Interestingly, none has been Winchester white box which is usually more expensive than other options. CCI, which encompasses Federal, CCI, Blazer and even Remington (which they bought out of bankruptcy two years ago or so) among other well known brands, is now being sold to a Czech company, which also bought Fiocchi (formerly an Italian Company) not too long ago. Magtech I believe is a Brazilian owned company. Winchester, owned by the Olin Corp, will be among the few remaining domestically owned civilian ammo makers. Ammo Inc., relatively new on the scene, is also an American owned company with manufacturing in Minnesota. Remington continues to be made in Arkansas and was revitalized with the CCI takeover. Sure hope the new owner of CCI/Federal will not be moving production out of the US. Does seem like most Foreign owned firearm/ammo companies do some of their manufacturing in the US where most of their product is sold, so hopefully the CCI/Federal manufacturing plants won't be going anywhere. The Biden Admin's recent ban on weapons exports from the US will NOT be helpful , will weaken US based weapons manufacturing and may push some manufacturing off shore.

I think it comes down to a looser crimp because after misfires the round comes out with the bullet backed down in the case about 1/8 of an inch. I would love to see some tests on the Callaway ballistics ammo I see very little about it online .
    I have a ton of their 115 TMJ stuff that I use for plinking because it runs about $10-$11 dollars for a box of 50, they also make two types of hollow points a copper hollow-point I believe it is and then a expanding hollow-point they call it which I think is lead in copper and those run around $22 to $23 for a box of 50
    But as I said there's very little information on calloway ballistics online I know they make some very good 223 ammo I've got some of that as well.

      @@zues287 going to assume that they are referring to a screw on suppressor which may or may not be 100% straight true to the barrel it attaches to.
      It could be off by 1 or 2 degree's which would cause a baffle strike.
      Now if the supressor is one with the barrel, then it would be safe to fire these or any ammo thru.

      @@GBGuns it's been a while since I tested it against others. I think I had American Eagle but at that time I had started buying Underwood ammo which is hot ammo. The only thing I didn't like about Underwood especially in .40 cal is that the bullets weren't seated tight enough in the case and would set back after several cycles of unloading the gun(Glock)along with one round in the chamber . Underwood may have fixed that problem by now. I just know that blazer brass acted anemic and American Eagle was a little more powerful. P.S. I think that in the case of the the blazer brass,after shooting a fifty round box of it,the rounds weren't consistently loaded with the same powder charge. As some of the rounds were weaker.
