This was the first deck I built that I actually started to win games with, and still sort of use it 7 years later, so this structure deck is quite personal to me. Machina Gadgets ftw!
Righan Have you thought about getting Mechanized Madness? That’s the new machina structure deck with good new and old cards like citadel, gear frame, citadel, and possestorage
Interesting story; my first structure deck was that original ancient gear structure deck. But I managed to get a miss packaged one that didn't come with yellow gadget.
Gotta hate miss packaged decks. When I got the 3DS game Zexal World Duel Carnival, the deck Dawn of the Xyz came with it thanks to a promotion. What a mispackaged mess that was... All 10 Traps were missing! Instead, the deck started repeating itself! From Giant Rat to Blustering Winds (including the cards in-between: the deck's still 40 cards) I instead got an extra copy.
Loved playing this deck and it won me quite a few games against friends. Wish I had got 3 sets when it came out, especially with how easy Fortress was to summon and search for.
I can still win with this deck, it holds up pretty well, depending on your luck, I added a few things to it though, Power Tool Dragon, Chimeratech Fortress Dragon, etc.
Machina mayhem is how I started to play the game a bit more competative. Started with all machina cards the deck had 3 times, then dumped the bad ones for 9 gadgets, then switched to 6 gadgets , as I realized I had too many normal summons, testing with ratios of cards like that gave me a lot of insight in deckbuilding.
I remember back then, the deck was out for a day, i bought 2 of these, made a deck from them and played a guy who had a "really strong deck, ready for a local tournament". Beat him every single time, lol.
This was my first deck I bought it offline back in 2016 when college got me playing yugioh. It was a great introduction to the game for me. Thank you for doing a video on this deck. The other structure deck I bought along side with this deck was spellcasters command for my brother to use, and we had a ton of fun dueling each other on our free time. He loved being able to splash in his “dank magician” (dark magician). Where I loved putting in cards to catch him of guard during his turn like limiter removal and divine wrath. This deck helped me discover my play-style of Big Boss Control. It felt like Konomi was looking down on me and decided to make a deck perfect for me because a few months later when I tried to splash in VWXYZ into my machina deck, ABCs blew me out of the water. It felt like this was an upgraded version of the machina structure deck. So I’ve been playing ABCs ever sense.
If I remember correctly the deck also had Roll Out, allowing you to discard Machina Gearframe for Machina Fortress and then recycle him and equip it to Fortress. This was my introduction to YGO and I loved steamrolling my younger brother with it
This video brought back good old memories for me. I bought 3 of this structure deck back in 2010 when it came out and I got to top 4 in a regional tournament with it (by the way 3 out of the 4 decks were machina). Very nice deck.
Great deck, i bought it when it came out back in February 2010. With one copy you could play with friends, but with 3 it was a really competitive budget deck. I have my original 1st Edition Machina Fortress, and i play with him, but it's hard to keep the pace with this new decks. I hope for a "Reloaded" version, like the Felgrand, Ancient Gear, Fairy Counter, and the ones to come in this new year.
I built machina gadgets with jinzo future fusion otk and solidarity. My first decent competitive deck (carried by future fusion being broken + cards like monster reborn, heavy storm, trunade, maxed out fissure and smashing ground). After that I played machina gadgets until ultimate offering and shock master got banned.
The monarch one was literally a buy 3 and you now have the best deck of the format though. Dino’s and abc needed more. Extra deck. Better main deck support.
I feel like they hit the sweet spot with having something for every type of player. Obviously helps them sell units but also it benefits the player base quite a bit.
2019, I use Machina cards in my train deck. Altergeists hate playing against it cause silq targets and it's just a good beatdown card. I played through a "there can be only one" with just fortress
I passed over Machina for the Endymion Structure deck. I have never regretted that decision. I had a lot more fun playing Endymion and his Citadel against my friends who had nothing but MST for back row removal, and with endymion's Reborn+Magician of Faith effect my deck was good enough to put most of my friend's Original Series Era decks in their place. Course now when I run it on DuelingBook against Neos it bricks hard af and my opponent just keeps returning Citadel to my hand until they can outright banish it... Fucking powercreep.
This was basically the first Structure deck I bought more than 1 of, and got me playing more competitively at the time too. I still use Machina Fortress is some decks too.
This video in my recommend list is perfect timing as a Duel Links player. I'm watching this video while maintenance is going on, waiting for these cards to drop!
Here's a fun idea: a tournament with all the Structure Decks. You're allowed to build a Deck using what you'd get out of 3 copies of a given Structure Deck, plus any individual tech cards you can find on eBay for $60 total (pre-Machina Mayhem) or $30 total (Machina Mayhem and beyond). No banned cards, obviously, and I'm almost tempted to suggest it be played under Master Rule 3 (disregarding Cyberse Link) so that some of the later Structure Decks can flex their muscles a bit.
To me the best boss monster of a structure deck has to be Master Hyperion. I remember playing 3 sanctuary and 3 zeratos just so that my agent earth can search it. Good old times.
NoobSlayerAdvanced yup. I love playing dinos so much, but I need to get to learn to play monarch, as they too can be a meta challenger, same as my budget triple dinosmashers fury deck.
Gamecade there were a couple good structure decks before this one. Literally, I mean 2. The first water one was quite synergistic. And the one with zombie world, while way lower power then this one, still was relatively influential. Then this one came out and became a really viable strategy. I remember the biggest issue my locals was having was if they should add any tuners to be able to go into stardust or black rose. Most kept it pure machine though
The game was arguably better when more decks were competitive but I'd argue that these days it's much more open to strategies, as an example I'm making my brother Ojama Dustons for high power lockdown
This deck is one of muy favorite i AM still playing it now using gold and silver gadget, iron draw and number 27 Dreadnought Dreadnoughid to summon super Quantal Megazord and super galaxy robo
I combined 3 and made a deck. And then when Geargia came out I combined those. I still play that same deck. It’s amazing. I also remember topping at a tournament when the Junk Synchron deck came out with 3 of those. It was a good structure deck. Better than Joey lol
Machina Mayhem's box is pretty cool/unique. It has this cool effect where the monster is pushed up, so you can feel it. It's not a flat surface. The Gemini SD has this cool holo effect as well.
the first ever yugioh deck i bought was the warrios strike one. i loved the deck. even if bad the gemini warrior sinergy was really fun. deck couldve been soo much better and im hyped for it being the next struture deck in the R-series. phoenix gearfried is after all such a beautiful looking card
When you talk about cards discarding themselves, its not exactly that, but I always used to use Fossil excavation and just discard super conductor and then simply revive him lol
Since this Structure, I've have always been a Machina Player. Then Trains came out, then I became a Machina Trains player. Not playing much Yu-Gi-Oh but if I did get back in, still gonna be Machina Trains.
The thing I don't like about these Structure decks or modern Yugioh is that most cards don't compliment the older ones, but just make the archetype good or great. A good example is Thunder Dragon where you can take advantage of Thunder Dragon itself, but Twin-Headed Thunder Dragon gets completely shafted in favor of more powerful Fusion Monsters. In Machina they shafted all the older cards and made a completely different playstyle. 4600 atk monster used as discard fodder to summon the cover card.
When i first had this game of World championship 2010, i was a boy who trusted in the steel of machine through my trustworthy Ancient Gears. I quickly came to realise just how absolutly broken for its time Machine Mayhem was. Sure there was the akward to use 4.4K beater... but beyond that this deck was bananas, and made every structure deck before (save for the spellcaster one) almost seem like jokes.
Obviously Warriors are the strongest monster type (crazy support) but after them it's honestly a toss up between Dragon, Machines and Zombies imo but my money is on Machines tho.
Dragons have much better generic support than any other type. There's literally no contest. Machines and Zombies are ok, but warriors are usually pretty garbage.
Back in the day i was up to play MTG in my favorite Shop but there was an Yu-Gi-Oh Tournament going on this day.. so instead of going home i bought 3 of these Structure Decks and merged them to 1 Legal Deck in like 30 Mins (Gadgets where restricted to 2 these days) but anyway... that Deck turned out to be that good i made 2nd place with that deck as a casual player :D
Back in dinoabbit format, solidarity was so awesome. When I played machina jinzo, solidarity is the reason I won all my games. A 3200 attack monster that negates traps? Gg for rabbit players
Rafa doodle doo You can, it might be a bit hard. Only card I can see that can go and you won't really miss it in a standard build of ABC is galaxy soldier but you'll be losing your ability to drop infinity
Rafa doodle doo it's all good, if your list can fit them it shouldn't hurt that much to include them since the ABC cards don't mind being in GY and using fortress gives you a decent body in case you can't drop buster
The Truth that was the 3rd reprint, 2 years after machinas. The first reprint was in machinas, and it was an $6-10 common until it got power creeped and reprinted again.
Machina Mayehm was my first structure deck :^) i was a lil kiddo back there and i didnt know i had to buy more 2 lmao and also most of the cards are pretty used
Shame Yugioh Isn’t that way anymore actually. Dinos still needed 3 Diagram and True Kings, Counter Fairies needed Strikes, ABC needed Desires, Demise(if you play it), etc The list goes on. This doesn’t apply to them all however Sadly we need more structures like this but Konami rarely gives us this
I remember I was blind sided by this deck. I knew it was coming out but I thought it wouldn't be good considering every structure deck before it was a joke. I thought it would be another one like those.
This was my first deck even and I can say without a doubt that Machina Fortress is awesome. Seriously, my friend played blue-eyes and I was able to win like 99% of the time thanks to it's effect being so damn annoying xD
"What makes a good structure deck better than the other ones?"
Fox fire
Dense Pineapple DED
Dark Bribe
No, Firefox
reprints
Ash blossom
"What makes a good structure deck better than the other ones?"
Brilliant fusion
Easy to summon, devastating power attack or defense, how well stand on the field, card advantage and card recovery i think, and awesome effects.
This was the first deck I built that I actually started to win games with, and still sort of use it 7 years later, so this structure deck is quite personal to me. Machina Gadgets ftw!
I remember ending plenty of boards with Jinzo, Fortress, and Gadjiltron Dragon in 1 turn. XD
Good memories with machina mayhem
Same! :D my broke ass finally one some games in my locals with this deck
Same! That deck was the first yugioh cards I've ever owned!
Righan
Have you thought about getting Mechanized Madness? That’s the new machina structure deck with good new and old cards like citadel, gear frame, citadel, and possestorage
This was my first yugioh deck that i bought never forgetti
*Dzeef makes a video*
I sleep
*It's not a "Why nobody plays *random card here*" video*
*REAL SHIT*
+TrustyNailDIing - fair
I bought 3. I love gadgets and machine decks.
why buy more than 1 lol
Agus Gomez ikr. It was a amazing structure deck.
you buy three so you can get a playset of the cards, since the deck usually one come with 1 or maybe 2 of each card in it
I just picked up 3 of the mechanized madness structures
Alexander Batterbee which didn’t exist when this comment was made...
This was the first deck I bought and actually felt like I had a shot against my friends at school
Interesting story; my first structure deck was that original ancient gear structure deck. But I managed to get a miss packaged one that didn't come with yellow gadget.
Dylan Harris lol that must have been confusing
BoB n fishy hell yeah man. I pulled the box out of the trash like, five times while I was looking for it.

“What makes a good structure deck better than the other ones?”
*RED EYES ZOMBIE DRAGON BOIIIIIIIIIIi*
I bought 3. Still play machina gadgets to this day. Along with other gadget varients.
I can still win with this deck, it holds up pretty well, depending on your luck, I added a few things to it though, Power Tool Dragon, Chimeratech Fortress Dragon, etc.
The new one came out so I got it since I was always a fan of machina
Machina mayhem is how I started to play the game a bit more competative. I ran this deck when I first got into YGO! I ran it for a long time, and eventually upgraded to a machina quick draw synchro deck. Good video!!
Great deck, i bought it when it came out back in February 2010. With one copy you could play with friends, but with 3 it was a really competitive budget deck.

Machina Fortress has definitely one of my favourite monster designs with EH Absolute Zero and Ronintoadin
Do a video on the monarch structure deck, the greatest structure deck of all time.
Dominic Mallano the dino one is great too :) I loved true king dino zings
But it doesn't have True Kings whereas Monarchs had almost everything except Kuraz, and the Fiends (and Megas as techs).
The monarch one was literally a buy 3 and you now have the best deck of the format though. Dino’s and abc needed more. Extra deck. Better main deck support.
Dominic Mangiardi I didn't know how to play monarch, so I gave my single structure away. At least I can buy them for $5 at a nearby card shop
for me the best structure deck is the magicien Deck with Endymion. So much CC.
They need to make more archetype support for shitty archetypes
Ally of justice?
Inu San They probably need a searchable archetypical DNA Transplant, and a way to swarm monsters onto the field
DADDY GAMECIEL Inb4 Genex Link mon
Schwarz Shineman Pretty sure Genex Controller is getting reprinted in the next OCG booster. We might see Genex support.
Konami just announced vampire support
I played Machina Gadget in Dragon Ruler format, rank 7 spam was expensive af back in the days of the Dragon Rulers
I feel like they hit the sweet spot with having something for every type of player. Obviously helps them sell units but also it benefits the player base quite a bit.
I asked for three copies of this deck for Christmas as a kid and I remember it to this day. Easily my favorite structure deck of all time.
I remember to combine it with ancient gears, it was pretty fun
This deck is amazing! I played Machina Gadget deck for a long time, still own it and i will never let it go :)
2019, I use Machina cards in my train deck. Altergeists hate playing against it cause silq targets and it's just a good beatdown card. I played through a "there can be only one" with just fortress
machina force was my first yugioh card
I passed over Machina for the Endymion Structure deck. I have never regretted that decision. This was basically the first Structure deck I bought more than 1 of, and got me playing more competitively at the time too. I still use Machina Fortress is some decks too.
Ahh this is such good memories, Machina was the first deck I played at locals, I hope the reboot version of it has some good updated support.
This video in my recommend list is perfect timing as a Duel Links player. I'm watching this video while maintenance is going on, waiting for these cards to drop!
Machina Mayhem was a true evolution for the SDs.
Here's a fun idea: a tournament with all the Structure Decks. This waz actually my very first Yugioh purchase when I was like ten.
I loved this structure deck. My personal favorite is the cyber dragon structure deck because that's when I got back into yugioh.
People were using compulse regularly long before XYZ to deal with Synchros, Fusions, and Ritual summons.
4:30 Dragon Ice can also discard to summon itself
I bought it right away, loved it, and still have it even if I haven't played phisical Yu Gi Oh in years.
To me the best boss monster of a structure deck has to be Master Hyperion. I remember playing 3 sanctuary and 3 zeratos just so that my agent earth can search it. Good old times.
Zhao Yikang I'd have to give it to Ultimate Conductor Tyranno. Offensive threat, banishes and destroys dinos, disruption effect, and burn damage.
NoobSlayerAdvanced yup. I love playing dinos so much, but I need to get to learn to play monarch, as they too can be a meta challenger, same as my budget triple dinosmashers fury deck.
Structure decks have been Getting better.
My first deck is machina and it helps me to win a lot of local tournaments. Nostalgic af
never noticed the up-down-up thing until you mentioned in in the stream
I love when old school players argue that the game used to be better, they must've never bought the old structure decks.

The game being better and the structure decks being worse are not contradictory.
@@krvys7226 caius structure deck was also good
Machina Fortress is more like an unkillable boss
Machina Mayhem was my first actual deck and the start of me seriously collecting yugioh cards
I used to play 3 green gadgets and 2 of the other gadgets sometimes, it wasn't always 6 or 9, I knew some people back then who used 7 as well.
How to have a good structure deck:
Have good cards
as someone who got into to yugioh because of this deck it is a great deck
I never really thought about it but the og gadgets have good synergy with firewall dragon
Better than Joey lol

machina and ancient gear go so well together
When i first had this game of World championship 2010, i was a boy who trusted in the steel of machine through my trustworthy Ancient Gears. I quickly came to realise just how absolutly broken for its time Machine Mayhem was. Sure there was the akward to use 4.4K beater... but beyond that this deck was bananas, and made every structure deck before (save for the spellcaster one) almost seem like jokes.
And it was even better when this deck was released with the Cyber Dragon and Ancient Gears decks
Structure decks were always worth it. The may contain no broken banned cards, but it just shows, how yugiohs tempo changed.
Obviously Warriors are the strongest monster type (crazy support) but after them it's honestly a toss up between Dragon, Machines and Zombies imo but my money is on Machines tho.
Andre Stewart Nah man, Zombies
Andre Stewart dragons have the dragon rulers and dark matter, and dragons ravine.
Dragons have much better generic support than any other type. There's literally no contest. Machines and Zombies are ok, but warriors are usually pretty garbage.
Dinosaurs got pretty good type support too
Andre Stewart I have really good dragons, but I personally love playing dinos. Lost world is so broken.
is there a list of every structure deck that you could make almost competitive with 3 copies of the deck?
Still play this deck casually to this date
This was my first structure deck as a kid. It was also the first time I beat my brother. I remember first seeing machina force in the yugioh! R manga.
This was my first structure deck !
I got 3 copies of each of the Link decks, and built a link based deck. Haven’t tested it yet though
When I was in high school I bought two of the structure deck and won some games at my locals
Would it play well if I add some cards in this structure deck to my Abc deck?
Rafa doodle doo You can, it might be a bit hard. Only card I can see that can go and you won't really miss it in a standard build of ABC is galaxy soldier but you'll be losing your ability to drop infinity
Thanks for your comment.
I'm just a average player who duels only with friends
Rafa doodle doo it's all good, if your list can fit them it shouldn't hurt that much to include them since the ABC cards don't mind being in GY and using fortress gives you a decent body in case you can't drop buster
(Masheena)(Mockeena)
Wasnt Cyber Dragon limited at the Time the deck came out?
D-prison was reprinted in RYMP as a ultra rare.
The Truth that was the 3rd reprint, 2 years after machinas. The first reprint was in machinas, and it was an $6-10 common until it got power creeped and reprinted again.
This was the first yugioh product I had
God time flies
I put machina fortress in my abc deck to side multiple pieces, when I have them, to my gy to help bring out buster dragon
"Ready to play built to win!"
Well, that was actually true
brought me back to the game. actually beat a friend of mines tele dad deck and his glad beast deck. And that for 30 bucks.
Man I loved this deck
Gadgets was my first competitive deck
I remember paying this back in the day. Feels good man.
Also: Solidarity ftw
Machina Mayehm was my first structure deck :^) i was a lil kiddo back there and i didnt know i had to buy more 2 lmao and also most of the cards are pretty used
So why doesn’t Fury from the Deep qualify under the three? No good new cards?
What makes a good structure deck better than the other ones?
Pantheism was not on the banlist
Now the legacy continues
What is the story behind what happened to battle traps?
I used this in my old vwxyz deck and in my gimmick puppet deck
Best structure deck must be either the rokket one or the pendulum one
What about monarchs?
Solidarity could kill gadgets if their opponent had a 1,500 ATK monster and Pole Position activated on the field.
Twin twisters has monster reborn in it... Huh, I never knew that.
>buying cards
NO TY.
I do remember using machina fortress in my beast-machines deck though
Shame Yugioh Isn’t that way anymore actually. Dinos still needed 3 Diagram and True Kings, Counter Fairies needed Strikes, ABC needed Desires, Demise(if you play it), etc
The list goes on. This doesn’t apply to them all however
Sadly we need more structures like this but Konami rarely gives us this
I see earth atribute = naturia beast 😉
In Duel Links I just have a bunch of dragons and fusion monsters.
I remember I was blind sided by this deck. I knew it was coming out but I thought it wouldn't be good considering every structure deck before it was a joke. I thought it would be another one like those.
ancient gear makes a structure deck meta
My first starter deck: Yuma starter deck
My first structure deck:machina madness
This was my first deck even and I can say without a doubt that Machina Fortress is awesome. Seriously, my friend played blue-eyes and I was able to win like 99% of the time thanks to it's effect being so damn annoying xD
Can the same be said about Megaform?
