Surprised to not see Gustav Max up here. "Gustav Max for game" was a pretty notable phrase for awhile.

@@sukumuieywang8058 I know! Still it is the best feeling to swing a few times in a round for more or less immediate lethal with something called Love.(Also because Gustav and Dora both were real, this alludes to a third railway gun, that was even bigger)

Infinitrack is such a cool archetype. Literally just big machines. Hope they get some more love from Konami some day.
When I saw Road Roller, their newest card, I wanted to smash it into Konami's stupid head, like Dio did.
Such an underwhelming support for 2023.
@@jasonguo2141 Using it for Cydra Infinity makes it kinda difficult to deal with, Road Roller is actually probably one of the cards that comes into play the most often when I'm playing Infinitrack, it's just decent advantage especially in an Xyz archetype like this. Especially when you splash in stuff like Ruinforce, and infinitrack banish Decently often anyway so it's not really dead. It's definitely not a Bad card I can say that, not amazing but definitely not Bad or unusable.
I play a mixe of that and level 10 trains
I think they just need better S/T support. Something akin to outrigger extension and spin turn but better
i do played the trains for some time, but its not that good anymore unless you need an 6k beatstick (liebe) or one 2k burn (gustav)
“Earth Machine” may be one of my favourite general set of cards in the game, so many great archetypes mix together really well, but never become too generic. Machina, Infinitracks, Ancient Gears, Trains, Deskbot, Karakuri, several Morphtronics, some Scraps. It’s just so fun to mix and match all these and means the deck always has plays
I have a better win record in master duel with my ancient gear machina deck than my dragonlink and i dont know how but the people in platinum just dont know how to get over giant its so funny

I would argue that Gustav Max should at least get an honorable mention to represent the Train side of the MIT (Machina Infinitrack Trains) of Earth Machines. Over the years it allowed for a couple of cheesy OTKs and is pretty much present on a lot of Rank 10 plays.
I have a video that has him OTK. It's very easy to use.
I fully expected Scrap Recycler at some point on this list since it's an Armageddon Knight for machines which is amazing
and also enabled orcusts

true, scrap recycler is good because, alongside some reborns like monster reborn or living fossil, you could go into an scrap wyvern or go for rank 3 plays or you could also go for infinitracks like anchor drill or harvester to summon gadgets or others machines or search for your broken infinitracks like dozzer, road or tunneler.
Legit surprised that none of the train cards made it to the list.
By the way, there is a funny interaction involving Regulus in Train deck, as you can loop him by equipping him with Super Express Bullet Train to add him back from GY every turn Regulus uses his negate effect, in which you can equipping Bullet Train to him again the next turn.

Kind of surprised Towers didn't make the list, given how oppressive it used to be before Link monsters existed. It's not quite the same idea, but Top 10 Wind Synchro Monsters would be neat seeing as Wind seems to be a very common type for Synchros in particular and there's a lot of good ones.
Towers was such a big deal that people call cards with similar effects from other archetypes "Towers" or say they have "Towers-like effects". It is kind of weird that it's missing from here.
Qli player here...gotta admit towers is screwed with links (esp unicorn Ffs) But the legacy still remains thus i always slot 1 in my deck. If i have any wish left, support apoqliphort to link 4 and same towers status. Pls konami

Earth machine has quite many soft archetypes and common terms.
Lv 10 Earth machine as big trains.
Lv 4 Earth machines as smaller trains.
Summoning earth machines in defense position, with effects negated.
Changing levels to XYZ summon.
We need a part 2 to this list, so many better earth machines not on the list
Earth is home to a bevy of wonderful Machines.
Man the Infinitracks are so fun, but looking at this list I realized most earth machines are too, they can be played together and complement each other pretty well. Too bad no Karakuris made this list though, I was expecting to see one of them.

Earth machines are my jam in Duel Links right now, I gratefully accept this generous lesson.
Shout-out to Gadgets combined with Vernusylphs.
All the lower level vernusylph monsters have an effect that requires you to discard the Vernusylph and another monster, then gets you another card in some way, and then lets you summon an Earth monster from the GY.
If you have a Gadget and one of the Vernusylphs that can search another Vernusylph in hand (Misting Seedlings or Flourishing Hills), you can have each Vernusylph summon a Gadget, which searches another gadget, immediately giving you the resources to use the next Vernusylph effect.
Misting Seedlings + any Gadget can result in 3 level 4 bodies on the field without using the normal summon, as well as either a card draw or a foolish burial of any Earth monster, depending on what you want.
Machina is my all time fav Yu-Gi-Oh archtype
My favorite machina combo: Summon Machina Fortress by discarding Machina Citadel, crash and use the effect of Fortress to destroy a card, chain Citadel in the graveyard to special summon itself to attack and/or destroy monsters in the field.
Or nuke the field and swing with everything else
Classic combo.
Shame their archetype has some inconsistency. Their 4600atk Ruinforce doesn't mingle well enough within their own archetype and Earth machine deck.

One of my favorites. I also use other combinations like using Torrential Tribute, Machina Air Raider for distributions and sometime be a little cheeky and use Unauthorized Reactivation to give Citadel a union monster to keep itself or another machine alive when I use its quick effect.
Always love the sheer scale given to the Earth Machines. Personal favorite was the Machina; been my favorite deck to run, especially now with the added support it makes things run so much more smoothly!
As a Geargia/Infinitrack player I really approve this list

about the gadget monsters there's one thing you didn't mention, You can use them in combination with Ultimate Offering and swarm the field and then have monsters for tribute summon, Crowler uses this type of deck in Someone's AI Tournaments

I picked Karakuri Bureido and Gustav Max over Deskbot 001 and Infinitrack Tunnler. Nice list.

I have both Machina and Cyber Dragon decks, I love their archetypes! They can also combo easily being all machines.
I still feel like SHS getting such a massive boost from some pretty standard support shows they were never bad, just missing what was standard for most decks
Qliphort scout is in the list sure, but I think a better representative of the Qli archetype is Qliphort Towers, for basically creating a ygo term for a boss monster that is basically inmune to card effects.

Sad to not see any of the TRAINS on this list, for they are the poster boys for Earth Machine Good Stuff. Though there are over 300 Earth Machines in the game, so it was a tough list.
Regulus is also a really good addition to the Clockwork Night variant of Cyber Dragons since Clockwork Night can search it
You gotta do Light fairies and dark fiends next
What about heavy freight train derricane? It auto special summons from the hand if any earth machine is normal/special summoned. And if you have another level 10 on the field, you go into the rank ten gustav max to detach derricane to not only deal 2k damage, but pop a card your opponent controls with derricanes second effect. Its a great card overall.
Derricrane and Bullet train for instant lvl 10 XYZ and both with good graveyard effects
and with Dora you can quick effect pop on top of Dora being a tower

I was expecting to see Scrap Recycler on this list.
I love infinitrack so much, i run Infinitrains all the time and Bullet Train is still one of my favourites when used with the Gustav's due to an infinite you get with Flying Pegasus Railcar... always a fun one when set up right.
Someone once pointed out to me that Machina Fortress looks like what you would get if an N64 controller wanted to become a tank, and I can never un-see it.
It's interesting that earth machines decks typically play a mix of several archetypes, since most of them don't have enough good cards to form a single complete competitive engine.
Maybe except superheavy samurais.

So basically the idea behind the pendulum effects of to supplement the other “Gadget” cards in different ways. Blue can hit the field first thing (or after your opponent wiped your field) to help with pendulum plays or to search out a gadget card, THEN the other 2 magnify the offensive and defensive capabilities of any Gadget cards you control. So what were once usually cannon fodder, combo pieces and/or sacrifices for bigger plays can suddenly hold their own in a fight, while still being good in those older roles.
Video Idea: A tournement where players only can play cards that have a spot on "Top 10 worst X cards" and build a strategy arround them not using "staple" or "good cards"
Not sure I agree with the list, but these are certainly good cards. I was surprised. I didn't think you'd possibly get 8 good main deck earth machine monsters without multiple entities being the same archetype.

SPYRAL quik-fix is a pretty big one. I’m pretty sure it’s one of the only earth machines to see significant time on the forbidden/limited list.

You should do an "unknown side of YGO" on the Arcana Force monsters: they are based on the major arcana of the classic tarot deck used in divination.

Machinas have an interesting place in yugioh history has the first note worthy budget deck as even back then you could make a competent machina deck for relatively cheap.

I miss that Scrap recycler isnt here, its just a foolish burial for machines, or even infinitrack dozer and road roller, because both these infinitracks could generate you a lot of advantage.
There are a ton of examples in the comments that didn't even make it to the video, I just realized how many great cards erath machine actually has. Also, Konami please give us a couple new trains pls I'm begging you.
