Of course im watching Robin!! Yes its the same elephant ! I even made an elephant with you on my lunch break in bernat. 😂. I either purposely crochet tight on the trunk or use a smaller hook to keep it less obscene 😂 I also chain out 5 sl st 4 down from the top of round 19 to make my tail. Hes cute. Took me right at 25 minutes on my lunch! ❤ Also i did what a prior commentor did and bought a cheap Walmart ONN brand $99 tablet that is exclusively for pattern storing and use. I love it. No need to sync to my other devices. And i bought a stand so it is on a tripod next to my chair and not in my lap or on my armrest. I love it!! Im a converted pattern printer. I made folders to organize my downloaded etsy patterns and when i use IG in the browser i just turn it sideways to get a bigger screen for the free IG patterns. ❤
After you said “looks obscene” I have had the childish giggles when you talk about it looking bigger. Ok, now I am snort laughing, it’s your comments. I don’t think I can finish watching😂. I have to say, the elephant turned out pretty good.
I am enjoying and looking forward to your daily videos ❤. You are one of my favorite content creators. The elephant is wonderful and I enjoy the pattern when I make them
I’m surprised you can’t hear me laughing and snorting aloud from across the pond about that trunk!😂😂 Loving this style vlogmas from you Robin. Much more interesting and genuine than a lot of others channels 💜🇬🇧
It’s a loaf elephant! It is cute, but I can’t get past that trunk. Maybe I’ll give it a try one day. I use my iPad for all my patters now. Used to print them out but they got expensive with the cost of ink! 🦋💖🦋💖
Robin, you made me laugh when you said the trunk looks obscene and that’s why you hadn’t made the pattern before. I grabbed the free pattern off of Instagram and after watching your video I made a white elephant with embroidered eyes .. all because my son came home from work and said “mom what is a white elephant gift exchange” ha ha ha ha ha ha Adorable!
Your pricing items reminded me I need to do that tonight so I can pack away a bunch of things. I made the same elephant in Bernat Velvet and it was tiny. I’m thinking of trying it in Baxic Chenille or Bernat Blanket to make it worth making.
The elephant is cute I might try it for next year and hopefully my trunk turns out ok, yours looked fine and the colours I think are perfect. I’m still working on a boho turtle the last 2 days but the interruptions have me crazy, Peter got a new toy because his mate talked him into it, hehehe I’ve got 2 dragon eggs brewing over night but it says they will take 22 hours to complete, now I got to make the city dex dragon like Heather does. I just learnt how to download patterns from Etsy to the tablet except I’ve been without a desktop for months now and I’m using the tablet to Netflix, so I’m delegated to looking at the patterns on my phone. I’ve saved enough money from the markets though to finally get a desktop, soon all will be right in my world and I can crochet in a chair instead of on my bed which is killing my back. I’m so glad we get vlogmas from you ❤
Don’t stuff the trunk and it’s will work out! Two things you mentioned that I could never do. Read a pattern from my phone I would need a microscope . Like you crocheting in bed would kill my back!
I’ve only made 3 keychains so far so not a lot of experience. I made the mistake of going to get the pattern first and trying it BEFORE watching the video. I struggled a little in the beginning with the trunk but the body went fine……until I got to the ears 😂 apparently I misunderstood what I was supposed to do and ended up sc 8 into one hole instead of going around. The first ear looks like my elephant was in a terrible fight and sustained ear damage. The second ear came out fine once I realized my mistake. I wasn’t sure what to do on the tail so I ended up making a chained loop. Next time I’ll watch the video first.
😂 Congratulations on trying a pattern that has inappropriate looking parts! I went budget friendly on my tablet and only use it for downloading patterns. A trick someone taught me was to do a split screen and watch a movie or TH-cam with the pattern next to it so the screen won't go dark. I take that thing everywhere without worrying too much if I end up cracking the screen since it wasn't expensive.
I don’t know why my mind goes there, but it does and it certainly looks like an inappropriate part so if you don’t stuff it, you can give it that little curve up. I do a split screen on my computer to keep it from going to sleep, but I don’t like getting stuck there all day every day so that’s why I want an iPad And I’m choosing iPad because it would sync with my phone I think. And since I’m not up-to-date on current technology. I would have a big learning curve on using it and I’m not sure what the latest version of it is. I was looking at Sue’s when I was at her house and I think the screen is big enough for me to see so maybe I’ll ask Santa Claus.
@KnottingHookCrochet I hope Santa gets you one! I have a tendency to drop things so I went cheaper. Won't break my heart or my bank balance when I have to replace it. I also don't like sitting at my desktop to do yarn work. Plus I house sit and don't want to try using my phone for patterns. Also being able to put the pattern in a "notes" program and writing all over it while still having a clean version helps when I have a long pattern 😁
@KnottingHookCrochet Right? I'm sure the iPad comes with a stylus pen and I just picked whatever program I could download my patterns to and learned that one. Too many choices! I am working on a knit shawl and write how to do the increases on each page so I don't have to scroll back when I have taken a week (or five) off from it. Highly recommend!
Well that turned out better than I thought too 😏 I too had passed on this project due to the trunk but it is growing on me after seeing your make. Cheers for day 3 👍🥰🧶
everyday robin videos is a Christmas gift to my soul! Always look forward to Wednesdays and Thursdays! ❤
Wow, thank you! 🥰

Hi, stacy, what size hook do you use with bernat?
@delonnickels9573 I use 6.5 on fluffy/older Bernat. Some of the newer softer Bernat, like mist-ical, I'm using a 6mm.
@Stacymakes thank you 😊
I like the tail suggestion. I look into those tablets.
I might look for that tablet. I just store them in the books app on my phone right now. 😊
OMG, I think I am going to be just like you in few years, cats, hooks and all
😂😂
😂😂😂 I felt the same way about the starting point! But after making a couple, it was cute and fun.
It's like a puzzle piece that doesn't really fit until you see how it turns out! 😂
That's what my tail looked like so I added a couple extra chains.
I'm still laughing...😂😂😂
After you said “looks obscene” I have had the childish giggles when you talk about it looking bigger. Ok, now I am snort laughing, it’s your comments. I don’t think I can finish watching😂. I have to say, the elephant turned out pretty good.
Me too 😂😂
🤣🤣snort laughing 🤣🤣
I love that little elephant! 😊. I enjoy these vids you’re doing 😊
Thank you 😊
Love it’s so cute. I like your everyday Christmas days of doing a free plushie
I think we're going to have a lot of plushies before Christmas!
They turned out really cute Robin. Loved your chuckles 😅
This is one I think you would like.
@KnottingHookCrochet I'm still in loaf cat mode lol
That's the same reason I never tried the pattern 😂😂😂 but it's adorable 😍
😂😂😂 don’t stuff the trunk and then you can curl it up. I do have to say, though I’m glad my mind isn’t the only mind that goes there.
@@KnottingHookCrochet😂😂💜

I'm so glad you're enjoying them! Thank you for watching.
I had to laugh with you! They are really cute. Looking forward to your next video! 🐘🙂🥰😘❤
Thanks so much! I'm having a blast with these
Love these❤❤❤❤❤
I thought the trunk looked wrong too, and couldn’t figure out why folks liked it. Now that I see yours I am going to make them too! So cute ❤
Don't stuff the trunk. 🤣
@ 😂
It's adorable i will have to give it a try ❤
All 3 very cute! Great minds think alike on the trunk! 😂😂 Enjoyed the video, thanks for sharing!
I'm glad you liked them! 😊
The elephant works. 😊
Very cute!! Ellie elephants!!
Thank you 🤗
Thanks, loving the videos 😃🐈⬛🐘
Glad you like them!
That cute elephant didn't take long at all!! Good job 😊❤
I know! It’s the perfect quick little project
I’m surprised you can’t hear me laughing and snorting aloud from across the pond about that trunk!😂😂 Loving this style vlogmas from you Robin. Much more interesting and genuine than a lot of others channels 💜🇬🇧
Thank you 😂 snorting 😂
I'm so glad you decided to do the vlogmas videos. Those elephants are so cute. May have to try one or two myself.

The trunk is what held me back 😂I put that iPad on my Christmas list we will see if Santa thought I was good enough 😂
I use a smaller hook when I make any elephant trunks. It seems to help...
This little guy does well at my markets
That’s good to hear! A few people have said that too!
That’s too funny. I totally would have done the same thing.
Was intrigued by your comment on the trunk, LOL. As it was growing, understood where you were coming from 😉. Very cute x
😁😂
Your pricing items reminded me I need to do that tonight so I can pack away a bunch of things. I made the same elephant in Bernat Velvet and it was tiny. I’m thinking of trying it in Baxic Chenille or Bernat Blanket to make it worth making.
I also didn’t crochet the ears on. I made a magic ring and crocheted 7 dc and finished off. I then sewed them on.
Thats a good idea.
Cute elephant!!
Thanks Jackie 🥰

The tail is a little odd. I may do what Stacy suggested make a chain and slip stitch back.
Your work is fab, any chance in one of these countdown videos you could show how to do a colour change please c
What kind of color change?
@ when you do a stripe or different colour foot please x
Elephants have long tails with a tuft on the end. 😉 I don't dislike this pattern, but it not my favorite. Loved your video tho.
I have seen these elephants and trunks look a little sus to me too. 😮
😂😂
I love that pattern & they always sell. I put mine at $12.Does that seem fair?
@@bethferguson705 if they are selling I would say so. For as small and quick as it is $12 is a great price
Bet you got some now now lol
If you have a smart phone you can get instagram and have it anywhere
I do but it's too small for me to read patterns on.
😂 Congratulations on trying a pattern that has inappropriate looking parts!

Right! Don’t stuff the trunk and it’s flexible to turn upward. You should have seen the part I cut out of the video 😂😂
@ 🤣🤣🤣
All three elephants are adorable! I made one in purple Bernat, it is fun too.
