That's Our Laura,,, " I only have 5 or 6 things in the garden I want to show you" look at the hydrangeas, and there are robins in the bird bath. Look at all the crabapples, this pile of dirt has been cleaned up and there is a new pile of wood chips. And before you know it we have seen almost the whole property. We love how real you are and how much you love your garden and how you share it with us. Please never change I feel like I could walk right up and talk to you as if you were a dear old friend. Thank you so much for letting us into the life you, Aaron, the kids and your crew have built. Happy Fall to you all!!

Seeing Benjamin look up at you with those big blue sparkling eyes reminds me of my son. He had big sparkling blue eyes also. You could see life in his eyes. He enjoyed life so much. He LOVED being on the outside!! He would say, Mom when your outside you see different things every time you go outside. If you sit in the house all the time all you see is 4 walls but outside, that's were you see all the beauty God created. When Benjamin lifted his little hands up for you to see the flowers it reminded me of Brian at that age. He would bring me in dandelions or purple clover and say, I picked you some flowers and have a big smile on his face. I would say, thank you sweet pea. Mom loves them! He would go to where I had my vases and get one put water in it then put the flowers in the vase. The look on his face was pure joy. I would give him a big hug tell him thank you for my beautiful flower's and tell him I love you! He would smile and tell me " I love you too, mom!" Those are the memories I hold in my heart. So mom's,dad's, Mamaw, papaw, sisters or brothers if a child gives you a flower/ flower's you tell that child/ person thank you and how beautiful they are. You never know if you will ever receive another flower from that person. Little Benjamin has a special place in my heart. He reminds me of my little man.

Hello Laura pray all is well with the kiddos. I’m from the Caribbean ( Turks and Caicos Islands) You inspired me to start my very first veggie garden this year. The feeling of picking and eating food that you grew with your own hands is indescribable. My family was so impressed and I inspired them to start as well. Thanks so much and continue to inspired others.

The ASH TREE- I want to marry that tree. Before watching your channel I was 'trained' by my dad to hate most trees (a little bit of an exaggeration) In the fall and winter they didn't even catch my eye. I live in Regina Saskatchewan in Canada and we don't get fall color a lot and most of the time its yellow. I walk my neighborhood now and I see things so different. Suckers, grafted trees, the growth habit, the berries, the color of branches and on and on. Yesterday I noticed a crabapple (i think) had lost all its leaves. I was literally standing still smiling ear to ear saying boy that is a beautiful specimen. I now know that trees are not just leaves in summer. That tree and its branches looked like perfection. Thank you so much Laura, for opening my eyes to what has been right in front of me. I feel so blessed that I found your channel.

What a delightful video. Autumn is not my favorite season because it’s putting things to bed rather than the delight of seeing things emerge and grow. But your vision inspires all of us to view with both memory of what was and projection of what will be as well as what simply is. Thanks as always for helping to fill our lives with positivity and rainbows.

Great video, Laura! I hope you don't mind a few silica gel tips. I had to cringe at you not wearing gloves while handling the artichokes in the silica gel - that stuff dries out your hands very quickly. Instead of pouring the gel into a second container, which can release a lot of dust (I hope you held your breath!), you may want to try lining the container with wire or plastic mesh folded into a basket. Then, when dry, you could just lift the basket out and the flowers would stay in the basket. Those artichokes that you dried sitting in a bowl are starting to get mold or mildew (the white powder) - throw them out! Loved to see your flower pressing - my fave flower hobby. The roses are probably too thick to dry in a press without getting moldy between the petals, although maybe your high desert climate is different. You can still remove and press the petals individually, but that may take more time than you want to spend. Thanks for sharing your awesome property with us!

The porcelain beauty vine is VERY BEAUTIFUL but YES- very invasive in the NY where I live! They take over trees and power lines galore. The vines are really nice to cut in the winter/spring to use for wreaths, crafts, but yes- highly invasive like Virginia Creeper and not as easy to remove as Creeper!

before my mom moved her door county home (she lived on a conservation area on Lake Michigan), my girls and I picked the natural flowers from the woods and the rocky coast and dried them. (Indian paintbrush) etc. and made a frame with dried flowers and a picture of my mom and dad from their home there as well as dipping round candles with the dried flowers attached to them. Thanks for showing us your beautiful fall colors! Off topic but you are the most positive Mother I ever seen ! When Benjamin came in with flowers my gut reaction was oh no he picked the flowers ! And you didn’t bat an eye ! I guess you have plenty flowers they won’t be missed 😊 but still I’m learning how to be a positive grandma through you and your Mom . Thank you for the wonderful example!

Laura, really enjoyed the color of fall, I see all over your gardens and the back drop of yellow at the neighbor's side of the south fence line. Is Benjamin just adorable or what!?! Blessings to all and hope Aaron and the family have fully recovered from the bug. Don't think I ever saw you or the family ill before. Must be all the fresh air and food you grow.

I also noticed the lovely backdrop of South neighbors trees as a background for a moment. Lookin' good!

What a beautiful landscape you have!!! I would never leave home🥰 I love the berries too and like to use them in antique jugs for decoration.
Thank you for the refreshing tour. Great colors🌹🌸🌻🌷💐🥀🌼

So happy to see you using your flower press. I’ve had the same one from GS for some time now (another it’s all Laura’s fault purchase😂😉)and never used it. Now I’m inspired! 🌸

Thankful for your channel. Sitting at home recovering from an emergency surgery for my gallbladder removal. I can just lay on the couch and hit play. I also have been watching your Christmas tour. Your house and landscaping are beautiful! 💜🌿

So funny seeing porcelain berry being grown out where you are vs. me ripping it out from ALL over my yard where it pops up here in PA! I agree it’s a beauty though but just very invasive here.

Thanks for the little show-and-tell walkabout. As much as I love the exuberance of Spring, I much prefer the subtle beauty of Autumn. It's impossible to miss the brilliant Autumn leaves but, as you have shown us today, a closer look rewards the viewer with a surprising depth of color. I must investigate that porcelain berry vine; those berries are exquisite! That, and the coral berry are on my list to be added to my garden. Hope all are well and happy. ~ Lisa

Wondering what you do with your dried flowers? You inspire me so much to get out and plant new things! I live in ET. TN. zone 6 and every time I watch I find something else to plant! My husband has said no new gardens! 😂 But then we are in our 70's and having trouble keeping up with it all!😉

I had to smile at Benjamin cutting the flowers. I can just imagine him “helping” you out sometime in the future, ruining a plant in the process. I’m sure you’ll have the grace to see the big picture and still be encouraging.

What a gorgeous video. Thank you Laura. I’m in Australia 🇦🇺 and your part of my night time watching every night you post.
I do find I wish we were same seasons instead of opposite because I get myself confused in the garden all the time!!!
But I have SO MUCH inspiration from what you and Aaron share with us that I now feel so much more confident in the garden and creating my Garden Answer on my new property… Thank you so much
