Laura you have been such an inspiration to me for the last 2 years. I lost my beautiful 19 year old son and in the early days I discovered you, I watched and I learned, eventually I got out in the garden. My garden is now my sanctuary and my therapy, I make succulent arrangements and my husband has started making concrete pots for them. Autumn is mine and my son’s favourite season so I’m loving today’s arrangements. Please know that all your hard work and passion has been everything for me and on the bad days when you’re tired remember how many people you help so much ! ❤️ With love & Thanks from England Tracy xxx
Hi Tracy. Sorry for the loss of your son. I loss my mum on boxing day 2019.. And l miss her every day. My heart Goes out to you and your husband. I started gardening years a go before she died. And l found it so helpful to me for my peace of mind and just so stress relief to and just help me through the bad times of early days of losing her. I am sure it is helping you in the garden to.
I have a 3" open spot here in the back let me see if I can tuck a little something in here… I was able to fit a red mum, yellow pansies, a limelight hydrangea, and a beautiful water feature. Ha ha ha I don’t know how you do it. I have tried and I end up with plants popping out of the dirt .
My local garden centers are so frustrating for me in the fall because they just fill up their shelves with mums as far as the eye can see and maybe a few ornamental cabbage. Mums do terribly for me even if I plant them in the ground so I don’t bother with them. I’d love to have a selection like this! The strawflowers are gorgeous.
I am LOVING these colours. Theres just something about the fall that brings such a peace to me. The rudbeckia..so beautiful 😍 thank you for sharing with us :)
AMAZING! You are on a roll, girl. Watching you plant these gorgeous Autumn arrangements - With the snap in the air and cooler weather it’s put me into a nostalgic mood and longing for the older ways in the olden days … It never fails to astound me how great the productivity is once it gets going! What starts the creative spirit underway is the birth of children. They really are such a remarkable joy and blessing! The older I grow - the more true this becomes! Suddenly we have a family to provide a home for ; they’ll need all kinds of things and it’s such a great gift to see the sewing and the baking, cooking and the gardening! This harkens back to the years gone by when there were big families. After the wife had three children, or thereabouts, it became uncomfortable to NOT be pregnant! That’s why it was so easy to decide to have more - and then just one more - children The huge amounts of produce that was raised then - as well as now - is a thing of beauty along with the canning, preserves storehouses full of bounty - ready for the cold winter months. I am sending my bests energy to each one of you. - to whomever reads this. Something very good awaits those who set their heart upon the Lord. Many blessings to you and yours. 💖
We finally moved to our new temporary home in Colorado and the front porch here is stunning! So I finally took everything you've taught me through the years and applied it to fall containers! It's a big deal to me lol 😆 thank you!
Yayyyy, I'm headed to the nursery this weekend to start my fall containers. I've been binge watching a few other gardens and been waiting on you ma'am 😁. I'm so excited to get started. It's going to be absolutely beautiful in DC this weekend. I'll have jazz music and wine assisting me all weekend 👏🏾👏🏾😁😁💃🏾💃🏾. You ROCK!!!!
So beautiful another beautiful project I’m so excited to see new videos … my favourite channel by far ! It simply isn’t a day without Laura Aaron and family ! Thanks for bringing so much happiness to us all … best wishes from Ireland 🇮🇪
Everything looks absolutely gorgeous and mulching that one side will take the whole look to the next level! Cannot wait to see the bountiful harvest for fall! 🖤🎃🖤
Thank you, thank you for this video!!! Here in Ohio the weather is just turning and as a first time gardener I didn’t know what to do first 😵💫 but the zone videos and this really, really help for the next steps it is really helpful…such a inspiration you and your family are we (our garden family club- my daughter’s and nieces) thank you! 😊 🙏🏽
I so look forward to your videos every morning. Your kind nature and gratitude are a welcome reprieve from all the harshness going on around us. Life feels normal watching you make your space so beautiful. Thank you for what you do ❤️
I LOVE the fall stuff. Bring it on! Here in Florida we are still over 90*, hot and humid. If I sat a pumpkin out it would either rot or get eaten within a day. I’ll sit back and watch you have all the fun Laura.
You are such an inspiration! I work in a hospital and the last year and a half has been so stressful and now it seems to be starting over again🙄. I love coming home and watching your videos. They are so calming and peaceful. I have had the time to do a few things in my garden, thanks to you. I have so many wonderful plans, again thanks to you. You, Aaron, the kids, the cats are so inspiring. Thank you for taking time to make your videos, inspiring us, and help us hold things together with gardening. You guys are a blessing and you are so loved.❤💜🌻🍁🎃
As awlays, your special touches makes it more special. Cant stop looking at your beautiful railing - it makes such a statement with all your white. Standing back and looking in is magnificent !
Thank you for showing us that there are other options instead of the standard mums and pansies! Whoever would have thought that dianthus and lemon coral sedum would look so stunning in a fall container?! I just knew that the coral colored dianthus was going to go into that container no matter what! Lol!! Now, off to store to find some plants for my container, that the deer will leave alone!
Atta Girl 👩🌾👍if one method doesn't work, try Plan! I love when you do Combo Pots. It makes the entrance more interesting. Greetings everyone from Windermere, Florida zone 9b 🇺🇸 Happy Gardening 🌿💚🌿
When the video first came on I was like, “I love those containers!” Lol just as they were. I can see why you don’t get rid of them. Then when you were talking about how they were old and you were gonna paint them...I thought that’s how they were suppose to look. Haha. Beautiful arrangements as always.

Texan here who grew up with pecan trees in her backyard, it's puh-kahn (the way you said it first)! Good job getting it right and getting us all excited for fall!!! It's finally getting into the 70s at night here in NW Houston, zone 9a, and I'm so ready for it (even though we've got 2 and a half months until the heat truly leaves) 🍂😅
When you placed the planters, the camera shot looked as though the hydrangeas were planted in the back of the pot. Lol. They are beautiful. It was 69 degrees at my house in Texas this morning and I feel just a touch of fall in the air. It’s supposed to 98 today, lol. The rudbeckia are just stunning. Tfs. God bless. 👏🏻💕👏🏻
In Central Texas we're still in full summer, except that the days are a little shorter. I'm looking forward to October. I suppose I could plant some snapdragon seeds. The snapdragons I planted last spring lasted through summer so I'm keeping them.
I have been sitting on my hands not to go buy any fall plants yet, it’s still so warm here in Mississippi but gosh!! This video fed my soul! Thanks guys! Can’t wait for more fall content!
Exactly what i would do if i had the same. Someone so charming about a porch and front yard with Autumn interest. So pretty I'd let your summer stuff stay. Looking good. I just got 3 mums today love them they are so lovely and smell so good.
Oh! I love your fall container plantings, and displays of pumpkins, Cornstalks, and hay bales! Seasons are changing. Thankful🙏🏻for you and family! God Bless, Sherry-Knoxville
In Southern OK and Northern Texas we say pah-con 😁 And I'm glad to know my purple mum with no blooms was the right choice! Everyone else's carts were loaded with mums in full bloom.
Laura, and Aaron, I think if you lined that pathway with the Ornamental kale it would look amazing and could carry you through the winter season and provide winter color up front.
Those are so lovely! You do everything on such a grand scale! Here in southern Alaska we seldom have much of a fall season. My upright tuberous begonias are stunning right now so I’ll just be happy with those until frost!
Your front porch area has taken on a whole new feel since you reconfigured the walkway. I like how it looks especially with the beautiful containers. Can't wait to see the finished decor.
Gorgeous pots!!! I LIVE for your container videos……. And no, I’m not kidding. My favorite part of your channel….. that and your Christmas decorating!!! And your new brick walkways!! 😍 So stunning. Everything is coming together!
Your railing at this entrance is so beautiful and unusual. Have you considered widening the new brick walkway to the full width of the bottom step? This would let you see the full vista as you approach and it would feel and look very grand. Absolutely love your planters, can’t wait for more fall touches on your property.
Just gorgeous Laura! Just a little tip to save you money on stain. I make a stain out of old Brillo pads and white vinegar. You just put in a jar with some water and wait a couple of weeks. It stains beautifully. I accidentally got some on the side of the house 3 years ago and it's still there, lol. Don't get it on your clothes either...btw. You are going to have a spectacular fall entry with all your beautiful pumpkins! Can't wait to see...🌽🍄♥️
Amazing colors!! I like the way the new stain color on the pots plays off of the door color (which I love) as well as the brick walkway. That front door has so much character!
I love how you do everything, Laura. Unaffected, yourself, so incredibly talented...don't worry at all about the pronounciation of some words or grammar. I had a difficult time learning the parts of speech and still do...but can visualize and implement also. It must be the creative mind!
Boy, oh boy! What a difference in balancing your front entry. It really looks great and the pots look perfect walking up to your door and even from behind👍👍👍👍
Laura, those fall containers are absolutely gorgeous. It might be fun to plant some early, midseason, and late blooming mums directly in those flower beds in the spring, along with your other shrubs, trees, perennials, and annuals. That way, by the fall of next year, they would be in place and ready to provide some beautiful fall color. Their foliage structure doesn't look bad either ... just a thought. ~Margie
I would really love if you showed your in ground fall blooming perennials a lot more. Also how you prune your asters and mums to get them that nice round shape!
She has been itching to do this all season long!! Ive missed you making containers this year, but have enjoyed watching how much has changed in just a few short months!! And its going to be BEAUTIFUL!!! YAY FOR FALL!!!
Hi Laura and Aaron! Like others, I liked the weathered look of the pots, but they are really pretty stained too. The pots turned out beautiful! I LOVE the handrails on the steps, they are so pretty! Thank you so much for sharing!
It would be great to see a follow up when you pop out the mums and plant in what you decide to replace it. I always have trouble digging out just one plant from an arrangement. And I’m curios about what you’ll use to replace the mums. Great video, thanks.
The new pathway looks great! I'm looking forward to see how you plant up the new flower beds. It's amazing how a nice fresh layer of mulch can really change a space.
Love, love, love you, Laura! Please give the pot dimensions along with the excellent info you always include in your videos. This season I ventured into larger pots, 16” and 18”, and love the drama and possibilities they offer. You’re so inspirational and educational.
Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful, beautiful work that you and your husband do. Thank you so much for me finding your channel. I am learning a lot with no property yet, but, your channel is helping me to get there just to try to grow some of the items that you are planting. Amen
Love the way you pack so much into each container. They are absolutely beautiful. Laura are there any plans to go shopping / foraging with your mum soon ? Love it when you spend the day together. Hope you are having a wonderful day from here in the rainy Uk.
Wicker pots and plants look gorgeous! I love your idea of decking out that area for fall. Haybales with blankets and a big firepit maybe?....I guess I'm getting excited for the new season. Thanks Laura!!
I really enjoy this arrangement, the colours are stunning. I struggle with my ocd and different heights in large containers but it's nice to be able to enjoy it through your videos. My husband really enjoys pansies and violas, so he can't wait for the ones I grew for him to fill the pots. He doesn't garden, but he's been really into the plants I have at our front steps (first time doing containers there) and he supricingly enjoys deadheading them and keeping them nice. He checks them almost every day when he goes for work, in case they need water haha, it's adorable.
I love the basket weave containers! I hope I can find something similar. The colors you chose are so complimentary and catch the eye in such a great way. Love your videos
Good morning Laura and family, the container look great, as the flowers you used, Autumn is magical to me things are getting ready for a long winters sleep, looks great, do the plants need fertilizer during the winter? Have a great rest of the day.
That looks great. I've tried with no success to plant mums in NY. but they never winter over. Last year I bought about 12 mums for fall but just left them in their pots where they sat all winter. This spring one of them had some growth so I put it in the high tunnel for a couple months and then planted it. It started blooming this week. I hope it survives this winter. I wish I could find some that are actually hardy.
Fell in love with those containers the first time I saw them on your site, maybe two years ago or so. Now two are sitting on my front porch filled with shade loving annuals and perennials. Just love them!!!
The containers look amazing. Love the colors together. The new hand rails on the porch steps are gorgeous. They are so inviting with the way they are flared out as you come down the steps. Love the new brick walkway. Everything is looking gorgeous. 🌻🍂Happy Fall 🍂🌻

Laura should have a pot planting challenge for us!
I’m with Laura about those gorgeous containers, they just needed a little love. Can’t wait to get going on my fall planting.
Me too! But, IF you to buy new ones, where would you get them and what size would you buy? 😜 We would love to know your source!
Love your video's. You have such a pretty face. Ever consider tying your hair back when working?

Beautiful plants and colors. Thank goodness for no annoying music too
I love the basket look. Very fall/harvest vibe. Gorgeous arrangements, as always.
Just beautiful! I love those basket weave containers. I don't know how you fit so much in but it is gorgeous. TFS
Wow! Looks so elegant at your entrance. How spectacular and inviting. Well done.
Fell in love with those containers the first time I saw them on your site, maybe two years ago or so. Now two are sitting on my front porch filled with shade loving annuals and perennials. Just love them!!!
Beautiful planters! Amazing walkway and gorgeous home! Thank you for sharing!
Definitely going to try the pansies and the ornamental kale. Beautiful arrangement. Love it!
Love when you do fall containers! Dianthus brings out the new walkway. I really love the new wide walkway!
The containers look amazing. Love the colors together. The new hand rails on the porch steps are gorgeous. They are so inviting with the way they are flared out as you come down the steps. Love the new brick walkway. Everything is looking gorgeous.
🌻🍂Happy Fall 🍂🌻
The railings are original to the house.
