I fell in love with K18 this year. I just find it so much easier to use than Olaplex so I am able to be more consistent. At first I was using way too much because you have to use it on wet, *unconditioned* hair and my hair is so tangly. But after I found the method of emulsifying it in the hands and scrunching it in like a mousse, it’s magic. I actually have to stop myself from using it every time. The price is outrageous though. 😅
I’m giving it another go. I am sure I tried it properly when I first got it (when it first came out-I bought it at the pro beauty supply) but I bet I always put other leave-ins with it 🤔 because my hair is SO NOT good without conditioner (but I know I should have trusted the process!!!)
I wasn’t too sure of k18 either due to the need to clarify and not use conditioner. However k18 has said that for dryer or more damaged hair types you can let the product process for 4 minutes and then rewet and condition/mask the hair like normal. That really gave me the best results because I got the strengthening from the k18 and the conditioning from my other products. So far its given me better results than Olaplex but its less intuitive.
I don’t do chemical services but I have fine Afro textured hair and I agree with the double bonding; I use olaplex as pretreatment & Amika the Kure as a leave in. Thank you for the epres recommendation; I will look to use & hopefully have the same success you’ve had!
Perfect timing! These are all more affordable than k18. I was just about to purchase k18 during sephora sale but think I’ll try one of these instead. Olaplex 3 was my go to bond treatment but made wash routine too long. I like k18 but it’s so expensive. After I reached out to K18 and told them when I use as directed, my long hair didn’t feel properly conditioned and it was hard to comb through without using detangler, k18 told me to shampoo, apply k18, wash out after 4 minutes and then apply deep conditioner or mask. That process worked much better for my hair but not well enough to justify $75.
I had the same experience, so I shampoo, towel dry, apply K18, wait 4 or more minutes, apply olaplex mask over the K18, give that a few minutes and rinse. I learned this process from the K18 rep during a training class. I love it!!
Looking forward to trying these products. I used Olaplex for awhile and got nice results at first. Some of their later products broke my head out and I felt like there were just too many things and not all were good. I have been getting great results from using a mask and heated cap as you suggested. My hair is just super fragile and fine, so gotta help prevent breakage!
I have tried Olaplex and K18. I like them both. I recently bought the Redken Acidic Bonding Concentrate (was dirt cheap with the professional discount at beauty supply) and I love it. I cancelled my k18 subscription.
I just started using K 18 this week at the suggestion of my hairdresser and I found it amazing right out of the gate. The ends of my very highlighted fine, damaged hair are beautiful and smooth after just one use. I know it’s expensive, but I will totally be continuing to use K 18.
I have gone natural at 66 and nothing makes my silver shine look healthy like Olaplex 3 except! Boldplex bond builder for a much better price. Silver hair can be so tricky but the Boldplex smooths without flattening-- as I am a curly girl too! Going to try more from the Bold line in the future.

Not sure if you’ll see this since it’s been a while but I decided to try the Living Proof Triple Bond serum. I’ve only tried it once but oooohhh myyy gosh my hair looks amazing! It’s shiny and smooth and overall so healthy looking! It’s so good! Thank you so much for the recommendation!
I have watched several videos like this but you gave the best and clearest explanation of the bonds. For years I tried to strengthen my hair but only got more breakage. I did something differently a few days ago and saw major changes instantly. Your explanation just now made me understand what my hair was lacking and it made sense given that I did something that you mentioned which actually solved the problem. When the words "bond building" are mentioned there is danger in misunderstanding what that means. It needs to be clear that it's not one (or even two) dimensional. You explained just that. Thank you.
The Tymo Ring is awesome!! I have thick coarse curly hair and I use the Tymo a lot for straightening my hair. Better than the other tools I have tried and hair feels healthier.
I have the Living Proof, K18, and epres. I'll repurchase the Living Proof again, but not the K18 just because I feel it's way overpriced and I get equal if not better results with Living Proof. I wrote a lengthy review on Amazon comparing the pricing of K18 to the most expensive luxury brands of hair products like Augustinus Bader , Oribe, Kerastase, Olaplex etc. and K18 is more expensive per ml than any other brand. I'm on my third treatment with epres. I use a clarifying shampoo before every repairing treatment to help remove styling products. Malibu Undo Goo, Biolage Clean Reset, Living Proof detox shampoos are my favs. I wash the epres out the next morning with my normal hydrating shampoo. Once I wash it out I don't see any lasting benefits. While it's in my hair it makes it very silky and detangled as if it's a lightweight oil. To make epres go farther I use half the amount of water and epres and it's still plenty of product dripping wet. I have fine waist length hair. If you have super thick hair you'll need the entire amount. I'm now leaving it in as a styling products since it tames and smooths my frizzy poofy hair like nothing else and makes it look super shiny.
Another really timely video, thanks Penn! I’m just about to run out of my Redken pH Bonder which is getting hard to find, and also wasn’t blown away by the K18 or Olaplex No. 3. So now keen to try one of your other suggestions 🥰💜
I have watched this video several t times.. man! You are so thorough and and your detailed explanation is amazing.. I wish I could meet you in person and help me fix my frizzy damaged hair.. I am trying out so many products and feels like I’m wasting money when I see the videos on TH-cam and those shampoos and conditioners are not working on me..🥺🥺
Loved this so much! I use Oloplex #3 once per week and it most definitely has strengthened my hair. I'm intrigued by the epress and maybe even the LP one (even though not one of their products ever worked for me lol). PLEASE do a video on heat protectants and anti-humidity faves. Btw have you noticed lately the Tsubaki conditioner's scent is "off"? It used to be outstanding but the last few smelled a but stale.
*Bumble and bumble Bond-Building Repair Treatment* is the best bond product I have used. Not complicated. Wash your hair and put it on for 10 to 20 minutes and rinse. Beautiful, soft, shiny hair. Superior to Olaplex 8. Available on their site or Sephora. *I had to come back and say Penny, you are just so great. I can't watch you at night because I get all happy and excited and can't sleep. You have such a positive impact it's crazy.* Sephora has samples of the B & B product. Next time you are there pick one up!
@@PENNSMITHSKINCARE I'm so happy I hope it works well for you! You'll be happy to know I finally put in an order for your SUKOYAKA SUHADA Urea Moisturizing Toner. My toner was discontinued and I haven't replaced it. I'm super excited!!
The K18 is best when you use the detox shampoo first, then skip conditioner, use k18 on damp hair, then follow up with other styling products after waiting 5 minutes!
@@lifeoflw84 Any clarifying shampoo. I have bleached hair so I don’t need the shampoo to be color-safe, soI use Bumble & Bumble’s Sunday clarifying shampoo. If you have dyed/colored hair I suggest you use Kenra’s color-safe clarifying shampoo. If you have hard or mineralized water you need to use a chelating shampoo - Living Proof makes a clarifying & chelating shampoo.
K18 Peptide Prep Detox Shampoo!!!! Explicitly Recommended on the K18 homepage for best results and by many hair dressers and TH-cam enthusiasts;) It is also color safe so it doesn’t bleed out the color from your hair.
Thanks for doing this. I don't use any heat styling tools/dryers on my hair but I love, love soft hair. Your hair is pretty. I appreciate you so much for being here !
I didn't notice much with K 18 either. I have hair down to just reaching top of my bum and finally very recently took off 11". I loved hearing about these other products as I've Balayaged/highlighted my normally level 3 hair for 7 years and surprised it still was growing, but was just not looking so pretty pretty. I thank you for talking about these product. Just not sure what one to try as I don't heat style (or blow dry) my hair unless there is a special outing or dinner or..... I felt the Living Proof you must use heat? Anyway, great video!
Thank you for your hair bond suggestions. I just purchased the Living Proof triple bond complex. I combed three pumps through my just washed hair. After 10 minutes I used my Laduora without the Laduora oil capsules. My hair has so much healthier after doing this! Thank you for your beauty advice!
Love this! Not hair related but I just applied my new Needleless Skin Serum & Night Time Peptide Cream! I’m in love with both. The cream feels like silk. Thank you Penny!
Thank you so much for updating us on other available bonding products. In my opinion, K18 is so overpriced, it was great to learn of other choices. You didn’t mention any of the Olaplex products; curious to know your thoughts of how their bonding product compares with the ones you mentioned in your video. Appreciate this information. You are always enlightening us!🥰 Have a great weekend 🌺
I am in urgent need of repairing my VERY damaged hair. It’s brittle and breaking off like crazy. I’ve damaged it with coloring and straightening treatments ( keratin has killed it) thank you so much for this video. When you said you had crappy hair… I do too! I feel your pain.
I love K18, it works amazing and the new Redken Acidic bonding. I actually don’t use them much but my hair has never been healthier despite bleaching. My hairdresser says my hair is healthier than it’s ever been and healthier than most of her clients. I am 50 and been processing my hair since my 20s.
Since menopause my hair has changed DRASTICALLY!! It is now very curly/wavy and super fine ( I previously had straight hair I permed). My main complaint is how frizzy it is due to chemical treatments trying to make My hair my uniform and manageable. It had the opposite effect. I hope trying a combination of your suggestions will help!!
Rachel, try the K18, use the k18 prep first. I had a big hormonal change too. I’ve tried all the bonding products. K18 is the best. You must clarify your hair first. ❤
From my experience the advertising is a bit misleading because it doesn’t exactly repair bonds directly. The abc line is just intensely conditioning and seals the cuticle shut due to the ph of the products, thereby making the hair feel and look healthier. It also is more preventative than directly treating broken bonds. It will 100% improve the texture and elasticity of your hair from its first use but once you stop from my experience you lose most if not all of your results. 🫤
I feel like I find the Acidic Bonding line to be a really great , gentle clarifying treatment more than anything for my fragile, bleached hair than anything which is interesting because it isn't advertised that way . Especially if you do the whole line.. it's a lot of citric acid in the ingredients which I find can shift or lift hair dye or staining. I particularly love using the pre-wash followed by the Shampoo and then using a different conditioner, followed by either Olaplex #6 or K18 as a leave in after detangling. It leaves my hair very bouncy and smooth for a couple of days without feeling " stripped" and too dry. It's definitely pulled old toner out of my hair so I will continue to use the Redken Acidic that way when I feel that I have too much build up or want to remove toner. I haven't seen any lasting effects beyond that. The Acidic conditioner was horrible for me and the leave in is a take it or leave it. Like K18, I feel like less is more with the Acidic leave in. I have had great results with K18 with breakage around my bangs but I definitely have to follow it up with a leave in and use it sparingly because it can make my hair feel dry and weighed down if I use too much of it, much like having too much protein left over in the hair. I'm definitely going to try out the Epres! Mostly because it's seems like it might be a good overniggt product for the ends of my extensions without wasting any very expensive K18 or Olaplex!
I am using k-18 in my second bottle so far and it helps with dryness when my hair is wet now is easy to brush, before because I have a lot of highlights it was crazy for me to brush it.
Such a timely video, I've been lately researching this topic to find hair strengthening products, learn to read ingredients and find a routine of hair products (as we do with skincare) to help support it to be its best. Thank you for the product recs and hair routine info! Would love to see more hair videos sprinkled in with your skincare content (which I also love)!!
I agree about K18. A lot of ppl love it, but I wasn't wowed. I definitely preferred the Olaplex. I'm gonna try some of these others. Thanks, Penny, for doing all the deep diving for us🥰You're awesome ❤Penny...the woman who ages backwards 😍
Great video and I got so excited when I saw you using the Tymo Ionic Hair Straightening Comb. I just got mine and used it yesterday for the first time😍
FYI I contacted Epres about shipping to Australia and they said they working on it and they would post to instagram when available. Loved this video Penn.
I love how you highlight the good and bad ingredients in products. Thank you for that! 🤗 Do these products act as a heat protectant against the heat you're using to style your hair?
I wash my hair and then towel dry it. I then put the k18 in it. I let it sit for 4 mins, jump back in the shower, and condition with a mask. It works but I can’t wait to try these other products!!!
Awesome video!! Been trying out Olaplex #3 for couple of months. Will have to try out some of your recommendations. One would never know that your hair was less than perfect...it always looks wonderful in your video. Would LOVE a tutorial type video on how you styled your hair :)
If you use conditioners with silicones and you use sulfate free shampoos you will get build up. You need sulfates to remove silicone, so you would need to maybe do a clarifying shampoo periodically.
It is interesting how hair reacts differently for people. I have bleached, baby fine, thin hair. I have used Olaplex and K18. I like the K 18 best. I use there shampoos also. I put Olaplex leave in the conditioner after leaving K18 on for at least 4 minutes. Trouble is my hair is so fine I have to wash it daily or every other day. So, I end up using these expensive products more often.
I agree that’s it’s so interesting how different we all are! I’m just so glad you found something that works. I get it though that it gets spendy when you have to wash daily! 🫤
Went to the Sephora sale today, there was a hair stylist who talked me into the living proof triple bond product. She seemed very knowledgeable and said that Oleplex has too many proteins and we “over protein” our hair. She only uses Living Proof products on her hair and it was amazing as she said she was post menopause. Have not gone down the rabbit hole over over proteins or used the product yet but thought I’d share. Thank for the incredible content!
I tried Epser and I was so impressed by results too! But alcohol ingredient in it worries me. Like you I didn’t see any results from Living proof or K18 but I’ll try it the way you described
Sally beauty bar products aren’t infact a bond builder it’s a marketing scam and they use hydro keratin which is basic pennie wouldn’t use sally bar when she’s using better and speaks about stuff what’s trending. :)

I am so bummed the K18 makes my scalp itch, even if I keep it on the ends it creeps. Have you ever known anyone else to have this issue? I definitely like the Olaplex No.3 but need to use just a small small amount or it gets too flat.
I switch between Pureology Strength Cure and Olaplex . Hated the Colleen Rothschild. I am going to try the Living Proof and the Redken. Great video. Thank you
Regarding the K-18 product, like you I was a little underwhelmed with it until my hairdresser suggested that it should be used like a cure in the following way: Week 1 - Use it 3 times Week 2 - Use it 2 times Week 3 - Use it 1 time Then give it the product a rest for one month and try the cure again. This time after following her suggestion, the results were very good. Another hair product I would recommend to add to your list of A-products for hair is the 'Sisley Rituel Hair Restructuring and Nourishing Hair Balm'. It's an overnight hair mask that I found helped my dry hair feel luscious and soft. This is an expensive product, but I wouldn't want to be with out it. I use it once a week or once every two weeks.
I really like Pureology in general-but for grey I do recommend a purple shampoo every few shampoos to keep the hair free of yellow. Do you use any purple shampoos? There are many on the market that are great. 😊💜
After watching this video I ordered Living Proof Triple Bond Complex 45ml from Amazon it’s arrived yesterday. It’s not sealed in any plastic just in its paper packaging and I opened the bottle and it stinks 😷 as it were rancid or musky or just went bad like products after 12/18/24 months after using them first. The ingredients list says there’s perfume/fragrance in it however the one I got? Bah! Or am I just smelling the castor oil in it? I have hypersensitive nose just like a police dog 🐕 or a wine taster. I’m thinking about returning it immediately with Amazon Prime. What do you think? Also there’s a great sale on Amazon for the professional version of K18 the Repair Mist 150ml & the Leave-In mask 150ml are both 60€! Ordered them together with the K18 Detox Shampoo and the Living Proof TBC. However I think I’m ain’t putting any stinky stuff into my hair…
Hello I am a licensed cosmetologist, you should always verify if the seller is authorized by the product creator to sell that product. There are many fake and out of date products being sold by unauthorized sellers. Then unlicensed people are complaining unjustly against the product creators, because of this.
I find this topic interesting but I wonder if porosity matters when using these types of products. I have curly low porosity hair, how effective will these products be on my hair type?
If I use the LP Triple Bond, do I also need a heat protectant before using a blowdry brush and/or flat iron? If so, what is a recommended brand? I'm struggling to find one I like.
Such an amazing video you have gorgeous hair unfortunately I am going through hypothyroidism and menapause at the same time any recommendations please new subscriber just don't know if these will help w hair fall
hi. i m having a problem. i have long layered hair i went for a trim to freshen my layers but the stylist cut my hair on the opposite side of head to cut the layers so very big angle and i can’t style my hair it’s not doing anything i want it to. any suggestions ?
What do you think of apogee treatment for deep deep treatment? I live in miami and to do my color it is 700 dollars can you us the color and highlight you are using? I found a colorist less expensive but her colors are off
Hello Penny. I’ve been watching you since you started and I trust everything you say and appreciate you so much. Just this last year I have lost more than half my hair :( I’m not sure if it’s a hormonal imbalance or Covid or the water in my house … it’s also super dry and damaged and I haven’t dyed it in over a year. but I do use Olaplex and am wondering if I should stop or if you suggest anything that could help regrowth or at least keep what i still have??
Hi Penny. Thanks for this great video. Your hair looks amazing. Do you still do Olaplex 1 & 2 with your color treatments or do these methods take the place of that? Wondering if we can mix and match. Thank you for educating us, I look forward to your content. 🥂
You can definitely mix and match. I do *have* the olaplex 1 and 2 - (I bought a “kit” at the beauty supply) but I haven’t actually used it in a while. I definitely think you can mix and match without any issue 💜
Do bond builders turn curly hair straight ? I really want to try a bond builder as my hair has been breaking off lately but I do not want to turn my curly hair straight at all . Great videos always love your content
No, in fact I watched a hairdresser who was talking about Olaplex bond builder, and he said that when curly hair loses its springy curls, it's time to use Olaplex to restore the curl, regardless of whether your hair is damaged or not.
@@sing2teach1 I see this in my own hair. Whenever it looks a certain way (curls become stringy and not clumping right) I do the Olaplex treatment and it looks way better after.
Another terrific and helpful video. Do you like the Tymo better than other straighteners? My dtr needs one but I thought they aren't great for your hair?
I feel like the Tymo is a lot less damaging bc it works without as many passes. It doesn’t flatten the hair as much as a flat iron though so that’s a consideration 💜
Hi Penn I really enjoyed your video, thanks for sharing this valuable information¡ I wanted to share with you that my hair due to processes such as bleaching (I am a platinum blonde right now) is extremely fine and thinning at the ends... it tangles a lot at the ends and sometimes it is even impossible to detangle those nots, I would like to thicken my ends and make my hair silky and soft as well as reducing breakage, which of this products would you recommend me? I can even afford a combo
Hello I love your vids did you get the chance to try out the raincry bond builder ? i could not find video link ? Im in the market and want to know if its better than Olgeplex thank ou so mjuch you are such a help I use your advice all the time !
Purchased the Tsubaki conditioner, anxious to try. Going to order the LP and the Epres. When you use a bond repair product how long do the results last?

Would you say epres or living proof is better?
So do you not like Epres since you said you didn’t see any lasting benefits?
Another really timely video, thanks Penn! I’m just about to run out of my Redken pH Bonder which is getting hard to find, and also wasn’t blown away by the K18 or Olaplex No. 3. So now keen to try one of your other suggestions 🥰💜
I have watched this video several t times.. man! You are so thorough and and your detailed explanation is amazing.. I wish I could meet you in person and help me fix my frizzy damaged hair.. I am trying out so many products and feels like I’m wasting money when I see the videos on TH-cam and those shampoos and conditioners are not working on me..🥺🥺
This is wonderful. Thank you. Your blush is GORGEOUS btw.
Oh my gosh thank you Mary!
Would love to hear your opinion and review of the new Sally Beauty Bondbar line and how it compares to Olaplex?
Loved this so much! I use Oloplex #3 once per week and it most definitely has strengthened my hair. I'm intrigued by the epress and maybe even the LP one (even though not one of their products ever worked for me lol). PLEASE do a video on heat protectants and anti-humidity faves. Btw have you noticed lately the Tsubaki conditioner's scent is "off"? It used to be outstanding but the last few smelled a but stale.
I will check my most recent Tsubaki for scent. I hope it’s not off! 🤔
Interesting. I Just received one and it smells fine.
Thank you!!
I’m going to order it today! 😁💜
@@PENNSMITHSKINCARE I'm so happy I hope it works well for you! You'll be happy to know I finally put in an order for your SUKOYAKA SUHADA Urea Moisturizing Toner. My toner was discontinued and I haven't replaced it. I'm super excited!!
I bought the Bumble and Bumble and LOVE it! Thank you so much for the recommendation! 💜💜💜
Very, very interesting! I’m learning so much from all of your videos.
Thank you!
Thank you for being here! 💜
The K18 is best when you use the detox shampoo first, then skip conditioner, use k18 on damp hair, then follow up with other styling products after waiting 5 minutes!
I just bought their new chelating product-I’m going to try it after that as well!
Thank you for the tips! 💜💜
What shampoo do you like to use I just ordered the K18 it will be here Monday!!!!!😁😁
@@reginaph828 I have platinum Hair on top and my regular hair on bottom..
K18 Peptide Prep Detox Shampoo!!!! Explicitly Recommended on the K18 homepage for best results and by many hair dressers and TH-cam enthusiasts;) It is also color safe so it doesn’t bleed out the color from your hair.
K18 also requires a wait time (I believe it's 3 minutes) before applying any other product. I love how soft it leaves my hair.
I’m giving it another go 💜
Thanks for doing this. I don't use any heat styling tools/dryers on my hair but I love, love soft hair. Your hair is pretty.
I appreciate you so much for being here !
Thank you Lena! Happy Friday lady 💜
The best beauty channel on TH-cam! 💯
🥰 Thank you so much!!!
Yay!! That’s wonderful!
You are always enlightening us!🥰
Have a great weekend 🌺
You shorter hair looks FANTASTIC. Makes you look younger
Oh thank you Nancy!
I have the Epres and heard about it from Abbey Yung. I love it. I'm also using Olaplex but hate #0 and love the Epres better.
What about L’Oréal elvive 8 second wonder water? It works wonders and it’s cheap but I’d like to know if it is really good for the hair!
Penny Can u please make a video on how properly use K18 mask
Yes, I’m going to. Especially since I owe it another shot!
Actually you can go online and get exact directions for using K18
Since menopause my hair has changed DRASTICALLY!! It is now very curly/wavy and super fine ( I previously had straight hair I permed). My main complaint is how frizzy it is due to chemical treatments trying to make
My hair my uniform and manageable. It had the opposite effect. I hope trying a combination of your suggestions will help!!
Rachel, try the K18, use the k18 prep first. I had a big hormonal change too. I’ve tried all the bonding products. K18 is the best. You must clarify your hair first. ❤
Curious what are you thoughts on the redken ABC bond repairing line as opposed to the new living proof ,coco and eve, and epres products.
@@mostcreative3680 thanks for clarifying !
How timely is this video?!? Thank you Penny! You've sent me down the bond repair rabbit hole! The K18 you sent me has been magic on my hair!! 💜💜
Thank you!! 💜
I appreciate you being here 🥰
I agree about K18. A lot of ppl love it, but I wasn't wowed. I definitely preferred the Olaplex. I'm gonna try some of these others. Thanks, Penny, for doing all the deep diving for us🥰You're awesome ❤Penny...the woman who ages backwards 😍
I was also underwhelmed with k18. My hair always feels dull when I use it.
Great video and I got so excited when I saw you using the Tymo Ionic Hair Straightening Comb. I just got mine and used it yesterday for the first time😍
Thanks for the excellent content! Since menopause I have needed to up my hair game. I really appreciate your recommendations.
You are so welcome! 💕
Have used Living Proof twice. WOWWEEE. great stuff !!
FYI I contacted Epres about shipping to Australia and they said they working on it and they would post to instagram when available. Loved this video Penn.
Really helped & want to try these soon to get hair like you 💞💞
I love epres. I just started using it, and i love it.❤
Thank you this great video Penny! Have you ever tried ProAddiction hair hydrating mask? It is a miracle.
Awesome! Thanks for the great information that my curly colored hair will appreciate!!
Please try the bumble and bumble bond building repair line
Was waiting for a haircare video from you ! Thank you so much!
Thank you for being here Mindi! 💜💜💜
I appreciate you tell us what the fragrances are. I love coconut but i don't want to smell like one!
Great info Penn & I love your hair color & length, you look beautiful 💞
Oh thank you friend! 💜💜
Elizavecca Cer-100 collagen coating hair protein treatment $7.99 dupe for Olapex sold on Amazon. Totally worth every cent.

Would you also be able to link the straightener you used that has a comb through feature?! Thank you so much for all you do!!! You are so amazing!!!

I’ve been thinking about trying the Living Proof bond builder. I’ve been using the Bumble and bumble bond repair styler.
Same thoughts that k18 only left my hair greasy and tooo soft I don’t like 😢
“I …have ….crap hair ….” Lol 😂 me too. Love this blog
Thank you 💜
Crap hair besties unite!! Lol
@@PENNSMITHSKINCARE Lol 😂 it’s too funny! I have to tell it my friend - she also can relate to this!
Olaplex doesn't even have protein
Honey she scammed you. Research if olaplex has protein 😂😂😂
Thanks a lot Penny for the informations I have extensions can I use this products ;
Yes! I just don’t waste much on my extensions 😊
I tried Epser and I was so impressed by results too! But alcohol ingredient in it worries me. Like you I didn’t see any results from Living proof or K18 but I’ll try it the way you described
I'm going to be here for when you try the new Sally Beauty Bondbar products!
Oh yes!! I’ll pick them up!
Sally beauty bar products aren’t infact a bond builder it’s a marketing scam and they use hydro keratin which is basic pennie wouldn’t use sally bar when she’s using better and speaks about stuff what’s trending. :)

Strange how different opinions are on K-18....Like you I am going back and forth with it. Looking forward to dry LP and epres.
I am so bummed the K18 makes my scalp itch, even if I keep it on the ends it creeps. Have you ever known anyone else to have this issue? I definitely like the Olaplex No.3 but need to use just a small small amount or it gets too flat.
Maybe you have a wheat/gluten allergy. Olaplex is gluten free k18 isn’t x
Hey Penn, question: do you have a discount code with Epres? thanks. Happy Holidays! Cheri
I switch between Pureology Strength Cure and Olaplex . Hated the Colleen Rothschild. I am going to try the Living Proof and the Redken. Great video. Thank you
Hey Penny! Great info! Which of these are best for very fine, thinning hair?
Regarding the K-18 product, like you I was a little underwhelmed with it until my hairdresser suggested that it should be used like a cure in the following way:
Week 1 - Use it 3 times
Week 2 - Use it 2 times
Week 3 - Use it 1 time
Then give it the product a rest for one month and try the cure again.
I’ll look in to that Sisley product-I have the hair ritual oil (which I absolutely love- also expensive but it lasts me like a year). 💜
@@PENNSMITHSKINCARE the ritual oil you mention here, is a Sisley product as well?
@@barbarafairbanks4578 yes 😊
What’s the best shampoos and conditioner for gray hair ?
I really like Pureology in general-but for grey I do recommend a purple shampoo every few shampoos to keep the hair free of yellow. Do you use any purple shampoos? There are many on the market that are great. 😊💜
Please tell me that iron your using after you dry your hair, I need that
After watching this video I ordered Living Proof Triple Bond Complex 45ml from Amazon it’s arrived yesterday.
I wonder if you’d see less dramatic results-low porosity curly hair is often already nice and strong. Do you find your hair to be strong already?
If I use the LP Triple Bond, do I also need a heat protectant before using a blowdry brush and/or flat iron? If so, what is a recommended brand? I'm struggling to find one I like.
I love the Living Proof and my hair is rough 😩
Oh good! 💜
**Not the rough hair part (I’m with you there!)
@@PENNSMITHSKINCARE LOL! I knew what you meant. Have a fabulous weekend
You too! 💜
Penny, so I am curious do you like these that you have talked about better than Olaplex?
Such an amazing video you have gorgeous hair unfortunately I am going through hypothyroidism and menapause at the same time any recommendations please new subscriber just don't know if these will help w hair fall
K18 didn't do a thing for my hair.
Penny, what the porosity of your hair? Is it low, medium or high
hi. i m having a problem. i have long layered hair i went for a trim to freshen my layers but the stylist cut my hair on the opposite side of head to cut the layers so very big angle and i can’t style my hair it’s not doing anything i want it to. any suggestions ?
Fantastic video, comparison and detail! Super helpful! Thank you for the break down and reviews!
Glad it was helpful!
Do bond builders turn curly hair straight ? I really want to try a bond builder as my hair has been breaking off lately but I do not want to turn my curly hair straight at all . Great videos always love your content
Oh no, they don’t straighten or alter the shape of the hair 💜
No they won’t you will notice your curls get better at least I did.
Is it safe to use the bonding repair treatments in here on professional keratin treated hair? Thanks!
Clarify the hair then use the K18 wait 4 min and then you can use conditioner!
Oh yes! I’ll update the description box. I LOVE it. It is essentially olaplex #6. It’s very good-leaves my hair much nicer than the 6 did 😳😁
Overall which one do you rate the best
Looking for sis!💕 thx.

Purchased the Tsubaki conditioner, anxious to try. Going to order the LP and the Epres. When you use a bond repair product how long do the results last?
Do you think it makes sense to buy the Living Proof one? I'm curly and I need hair cream and gels to have a decent hair day.
