My only wallet I've ever had, and still have is nearly a hundred years old. It was given to me by my Grandfather who received it from his father. It's in rough shape, but it's still in way better shape than my brothers ten year old wallet. I have to say though, that that wallet looks pretty good for a modern one.

I've noticed that most products on your store are made in europe, however you sell them from the US. If you as a customer in EU this means paying for the shipping to the US and back which is a lot of extra cost. Have you considered having a warehouse location in germany (or elsewhere in thet EU) for EU customers?

Doing my research handmade wallets can take up to 10 hours to make, so taking that into account as well as the material cost. This wallet is well worth the price. I can understand those you criticize the price and say "after spending that much money there will not be any cash to store within the wallet", however wallets aren't only to carry money or even specifically cash. If you don't think the price is worth it, don't buy it and don't criticize those who do. I feel the same way about fountain pens, I'm willing to spend $5,000 on a Namiki pen, 99.9999% of other people are not.

A double folded edge is a time absorbing and costly endeavor where the end product looks amazing. Unfortunately, it's impossible to repair without incurring a cost so high, one may as well replace the entire wallet. This is true of all folded edges in leather. Once a customer wears through it, a large segment of the card battery must be replaced with matching new leather. The only other 'cheaper' recourse is to inject faux leather putty into the hole, sand it smooth then custom color match a painted acrylic. This is why I don't fold edges in my products. If a customers wears a single edge into a discolored mess, It can be fine sanded, re-dyed, burnished then satin glazed much more cheaply and timely.
Then again, what do I know. I've only been hand crafting wallets since 1990. 🙄 Shop smart.
    Cheers everyone! 🍺

I have a 22 year old wallet that probably came from Target or someplace like that. It is real leather though, so not a total cheap-o. The plastic pocket flap for holding pictures was lost ages ago, but the rest of the wallet is still like new: outside is shiny from years of wearing against pocket fabric, the pockets are all intact, stitching is intact except for like one place where the central fold is, but otherwise holding strong. And like most wallets, has been through the washing machine a few times. Barring losing it, I expect to have it for who knows how many more decades.

Sometimes, you don't need to pay a fortune to get a quality, long-lasting item. My wallet is black leather, so it goes with pretty much everything, at least to an acceptable degree. It's real leather, but came from Target, and I've had it for years with absolutely no wear or tear. Personally, I just can't imagine spending nearly $300.00 on a fashion item that you both have to swap out everything in every time you use it and is only seen for a minute or two per visit in public, if that. I'm by no means a practical dresser, either!

That depends heavily on your region. Where I live in Philly, the places I tend to shop usually take contactless payment methods and I could go for days without bringing my wallet. But, some parts of the city are still cash-only, and the city has actually banned cashless shops, because cashlessness is a luxury for the relatively wealthy
Where my folks live, in the country, I would have to be very deliberate with where I shopped and what I wanted to buy if I wanted to avoid bringing my wallet, but I could definitely get away with just having a minimalist wallet that only carried two or three cards plus a driver’s license
In my ancestral homeland of Pakistan, no reasonable person would try to go cashless. A lot of places offer the option, but paying for small purchases with a credit card is considered to be rude and a bit ostentatious. Wealthy people, especially, will carry beautiful wallets
And that brings us to the most important point. Of course it is possible in the modern day for a Westerner to not own a wallet, and of course there is no one on earth who can only be well-served with a $300 wallet. But if you’re lucky enough to have money, buying beautiful things that you can carry with you is no great sin. It’s natural for humans to love and be fascinated by beauty. Am I going to buy a $300 wallet? No. But I can appreciate why someone would, and I think it’s pretty snobbish of you to denounce the purchase as a waste as though anything unnecessary that you wouldn’t buy is an unjustifiable expense. A $300 wallet is no more a waste of my money than a $500 XBox

@@Gilamath. That's a really well-thought-out answer. I personally think that even if it's practical for you to go cashless, having a place to store your ID, credit/debit cards, gift cards, business cards, and even family photos can be very helpful. Aside from that, you still need cash for things like vending machines and tipping certain servicemen, which is why I try to carry at least $5.00 worth of dollar bills.

Well, someone has watched a couple of TH-cam videos and considers themselves an expert on the pricing of fine luxury. Imagine name dropping "quality" materials in an attempt to shame a businessman with your "expertise", whilst in fact actually having no clue about the very thing you mention. Imagine being a person who does that. How utterly embarrassing.
