Honestly for me there is no comparison, both are good, as someone who enjoy Strategy games and fast paced action games I enjoy both turn based and action games, it's why I enjoy the Trails and Ys series.

Both are good that said i don't think action lacks strategy or moment to moment thinking. It just requires having to execute said strategies and has a higher barrier to get the most out of. This whole debate that people constantly bring up is stupid. Why would you want to limit the options for games you play by having only one or the other be the only genre.

I completely agree! Why limit your video game enjoyment by restricting what you play based on the battle systems!

Correction: The ATB system was added in FFIV. Yes, THAT early on. Also, I'm pretty sure you mispronounced Ys (it's a french word, after all).
