I have one of these Travelscoots,I am very pleased with it,I bought it in Auckland NZ cost me 3800 NZ Dlrs, would recommend it,the scooter is exactly the same as in the video.
Thus is the best transport vehicle I have ever used but wish people could order a seat with more back support. Only other problem I've had is that people who use a car lift for it have to reach very low to unhook the cables because there are no places to hook cables that are higher up and people with broken ribs or spine can't bend that low to unhook it. Otherwise It's a truly amazing scooter that can't be beat! Every one stops to ask where I got it! Some have even asked to take pictures of it! Lithium batteries are great as long as you don't forget to charge them. Every handicap vehicle should have such batteries!
I've seen a suitcase with a battery powered scooter wheels attached. Not quite the same as this but it gets you from point A to B much quicker. Another one you sit on the suitcase and away you go.
The scooter works well, except it depends on the man(or woman) being able to walk. I can’t walk more then a few feet before I start having problems. I’m a double above knee amputee with a heart condition.
FYI: In the past two years Delta has broken our Travel Scoot twice by not doing what all other airlines do -- delivering it at the gate. When it goes to the baggage pickup area it gets thrown around. After the first incident we thought we made very sure by calling the airline twice and stressing the necessity of gate delivery, then insisting on it when we checked in and at the departure gate. And were assured this would be done. When it arrived (not at the gate, but at the luggage area) and broken, we were told we should have asked for a pink tag. How were we to know that and, having told EVERYONE what was necessary, they didn't know a pink tag was needed? Really?
It does have back support which I always thought was quite suitable except for those with with broken backs or ribs. You can even buy extra things for it such as a second passenger seat or cart. It's the sweetest scooter ever!
Poppie Searchfield is not for Total Disecumbered..it's for those with heart lung asthma etc......I love my segway..has helped me to be able to continue to do everything I did with my kids /grandkids
You don't really need arm rests. Most of the time your arms will be on the handles. Arm rests can just be a nuisance and they add weight to the scooter. The seat also swivels.
@@barrytipton1179 , I have a broken spine and 3 broken ribs and weigh 130 pounds. I couldn't find a scooter more practical than this (with an in-car lifter ordered from Bruno or the like). Most other scooters are too big, too heavy, too wide, or require some time to take apart, requiring a fair bit of strength and heavy bending. It's best to purchase at least a mini van as you get older though, because the higher your car trunk, the less assembly you need each time you go out because you can store the scooter standing up and already 'ready to go".
Travel Scoot is the only way to go. However, a demo by an eminently able person is not the best. I see him lifting & maneuvering with ease. That is not the case for many of us
I have one I always have to take lithium battery in hand luggage inside the cabin no problems with Ryanair or airports I have used. Only down side of the travelscoot is No way of picking up one end with wheels on other for escalators. And worst of all the second or replacement batteries are extortion in price
I like this scooter and think it's cleverly designed but we've just had a bad experience with the Australian dealer so it's off the list. I wish there was a more reliable outlet in this country.
Sorry to hear that. I have one but it's a shame there is no UK dealer. Only one store in Germany for the whole of Europe. The maker is missing out on a lot of sales in my opinion from people who will not buy off the internet from abroad. They are life changing machines.

Two things here, if he can climb those air stairs so easy he can be pushed back down, secondly no matter what time I fly the security area is complete and utter chaos
There are different sized batteries. The longer distance ones are not allowed on most airlines. Needs either a capacity of 300-watt hours or can carry spare batteries with no more than 160-watt hours each
@@PhoenixFires9 , so did I. This bike is so sweet and really fun to ride! You can order interesting accessories, and It's very light but well made and strong! Wisks around like a feather. I even transported a 6 ft piece of linoleum on it once because the basket below is so convenient that you can do that. I also bought a small collapsible bin for it to fit between my legs so I can carry a whole lot of groceries! Try doing that with other scooters or wheelchairs. I usually didn't even use the baskets that came with it or the back support because it fits into the back of most mini vans without even having to fold it that way, so off you go immediately. It's really a sweet bike. I bought the bigger version for better leg length and more power. Your kids will beg to use it but most handicap vehicles are expensive and shouldn't be used as toys if you want them to last for many years. This is a fantastic bike for those with broken legs or feet. Crutches can be dangerous and hard for many adults to use so every adult should have one on hand for emergencies or if they can't walk long distances through large stores, malls, or hospitals. It's a fantastic Christmss gift that even comes with a handicap sticker because it's so cute that some might not believe it is one. You can even order an extra seat if husband and wife are both crippled and want to travel or go shopping together. It's truly wonderful.

Its called “ limited mobility”. We can walk a short distance just not long distances such as walking all thru the mall half the day as opposed to just walking to your bathroom at home. There is complete disability and limited mobility.
Limited mobility / fluctuating conditions. I have a condition where I can't walk anywhere without flaring symptoms but I look fine. I feel incredibly unwell and use an Efoldi.
