I sold my Cruiser because my thumbs/fingers were not strong enough to release the folding mech. Sold it real fast for $2400. Now will buy the new folding lighter Escape. Main buying features are lightness and ease of parts on and off.
I’m on my 2nd. Got the original & then upgraded when “reverse” came out. I’ve had that since late 2013 and it’s still pretty much in perfect shape despite travelling to Vegas, Mexico, Florida, New York and a bunch of other destinations. I don’t have trouble folding, but it’s fiddly and requires more bending than I have capacity for, so I tend to just pop the seat off & leave it in the back of my car still built. But this? OMG exciting! Love the way it folds up so easily. I want it! Happy to hear it’ll be coming soon.
I've had my Delux for 3-4 years now and I love it. Traveled all over Europe , USA, and on ships with ease. I always just ride it directly to the entrance of the aircraft when flying, and the porters just store it with other baby buggies! And it's waiting for me as I deplane for me right after I exit the plane. I just might want to order this newer SEAT though, would it possible to buy and fit my own rig? How much is it? Also a suggestion - those little rings at the bottom of the steering pole - make those bigger for a drink holder !!!!
REVISE FOOT PEGS TO FLAT TILT SLIGHTLY UP. 2. SEAT CHANGE FOR SPINAL FOLKS. 3. A FLAT PLATE OVER THE TRIANGLE, NOT BIG JUST ENOUGH TO PUT YOUR FEET ON. SOME OF US HAVE TROUBLE LIFTING THE LEG OVER THE BAR TO REACH THE FOOT PEGS. YEA, I KNOW YOU WILL ADD A FEW LBS, HOWEVER THE EASE OF MAKING IT ACCESSABLE WOULD BE A PLUS. 5. I REMEMBER WHEN THE OLD GERMAN GUY BUILT HIS FIRST ONE.
I have the *"Deluxe Travelscoot"* for a few years now and I'm very happy with it and I think it's the better one even when it's a little bit difficulty to "build up and fold it" when you have MS and can't remember the steps buuuuut luckily there were always nice people who helped us at the airport here in Germany and in New York 👍👍👍!!! And I have to say that you can fold the *Deluxe* even smaller than this new version here in this video - here you can only lay down the whole steering wheel buuut with the Deluxe version when you remove the seat you can also fold up one side of the backwheels to the other side to make it even smaller and it fits to the carry bag which was also delivered and the red triangle underneath the seat is way taller for your groceries than the new one!! (Sorry for my awful english but if you want to see the differences I mentioned go and watch the other videos with the DELUXE Travelscoot or search for "Travelscoot" here on youtube and there are some videos you will find - even when the language is german - you can see everything what I've mentioned above!) Search for: *World's Lightest Electric Mobility Scooter - TravelScoot Mobility Scooter Initial Setup* But anyway enjoy your "freedom" driving and traveling with either one of these Travelscooter 😁😇☺👍👍👍!! 🌞🌞🌞 greetings from Germany, Ela If I would have to buy someday a new one - I would definitely buy again the *DELUXE"* Travelscoot ... buuut that's only my own opinion and experience!!
@@rmagistr I've checked it in and they brought me to the airplane with a wheelchair... but when you are at your destination it must be build up again and just because we weren't able we were soooooo happy that there were some very kind people who helped us!! 👍👍🤗
@@StevePerryisthebest Thanks for the quick reply. I want to buy my mom this, and my concern is with how expensive this is, I am worried that this will get thrown around by the airline crew.
@@rmagistr You're very welcome, I knew your concern that's the reason why I bought the big metal travelbox for it! It was an used one (a return) also the little metal box for the battery and they made me a special price!! 👍👍👍
The few components that might lend themselves to being made in carbon fiber are already very light. Carbon would not provide any significant, or even noticeable, weight savings, but would increase cost and complexity. The parts that start making things heavier are wheels and motor, and are not reproducible in carbon.
The Escape is narrower than the Deluxe width-wise so it's not all that much wider than you think. The lower step over height and easy folding mechanism were changes that prevented enough people from buying the Deluxe model. The Escape is easier to lift as well. The narrower folding dimensions on the Deluxe were something that people with sports cars wanted. Don't get us wrong, we LOVE both scooters very much, but the majority of feedback we received wanted these changes and so we listened and implemented them. Our opinion at TravelScoot is that the Escape is a better scooter overall.
When will you be asking airlines to pre-approve boarding with its lithium battery? Every time boarding the carryon is met with airline restrictions and it would be fantastic to be able to board without supervisory approval.
We recommend contacting the airline prior to travel and obtaining a gate-check clearance. Most airlines then supply a tag to hang on the scooter. This essentially constitutes "preapproval". While the regulations apply to all airlines, they do have some leeway with their individual procedures.
EXCITING!!! Hello, Tony!!! It’s Cal, Sue Sheridan’s son!! I am going to be buying the escape soon!!!

I like the changes! I will be a customer soon. Hoping that the seat is comfortable
Love my’Scoot, but the seat is not comfortable, especially the back rest.

Have you travelled with this on an airplane?
Love my Escape great for getting through airports hassle - just be sure to contact your carrier prior to travel - travelled to UK and France
I got one in mid year 2013 & wanted to know if the current lithium batteries would be okay. The one I have was a Ni-cad. I loved this scooter.

Like the new look, but I wish you mentioned the expected price of the new "escape"

Are there any differences between the motor used in the Escape and the motor used in the Deluxe?

It needs a performance model IMO

Have you considered carbon fiber to reduce weight even further?
The few components that might lend themselves to being made in carbon fiber are already very light. Carbon would not provide any significant, or even noticeable, weight savings, but would increase cost and complexity. The parts that start making things heavier are wheels and motor, and are not reproducible in carbon.
If the Escape is now the only one you make then I think it’s a step backwards it’s too wide when folded 😢

Quanto costa
You would have to see the dealer in your country. In the U.S., you can purchase it at travelscootusa.com.
How much is. The price. Of. The scooter. Thank you
Need. Phone. Number. Thank you
Yeah, whats the price?
How much is it please.
Almost $4000
Nice scooter, but that seat does not look comfortable for people who have a sore spine. I would need a cushion seat and arm rests to feel more safe.
We don't have arm rests but we do have upgraded seat cushions as well as shock-absorbers to take off the pressure of the spine.
What is phone number
It would be nice if you would give the price nobody gives a price and that makes me sad because I'd be glad to hear the price which would be nice
