Seeing the kids was so beautiful - LOVED this one. defs one of my favourites of yours. I have planned a few trips for the next year following my uni graduation, and they are to India a lot of South East Asia, and following your series on Egypt I have so major wanderlust to head there too. I love your vlogs, super authentic, great tips for a backpacker and really entertaining. Im just going through watching them all from the beginning now and writing down all the useful links and tips and it's super helpful! Love your work!!!
Thanks Maddison, this comment really warms my heart. It is the best feeling when you inspire someone to travel to a country and also to help them along the way. I wish you all the best for your adventures(they sound epic!). And please let me know if you have any questions or want some advice for any of the countries I have been to. Good luck for uni! Nick
❤️ your channel. I teach preschool in Columbus Ohio and, for some reason, there is a huge Indian population here. 5 out of 7 in my class right now have parents who moved from India. I am learning about the cultural differences and, like the children in your video, they are the sweetest and happiest people. Thank you for showing us the world that we will never get to see.
One of my favourites so far ... smiling is infectious, especially from happy kids :) These kids have nothing from our persepective and yet have everything needed for a great life.
As an American this video almost made me cry. Those children were so joyful to show you what they had and my sorry-ass complains when the air conditioning goes out. Thank you Nick.
Was literally laughing hearing those children smile and seeing those puppies 🐶 ☺️. BRO is Border Roads Organisation responsible for making Roads in the areas adjoining International Border
I’ve been watching a lot of your videos. Chernobyl, Everest base camp, Egypt etc. this video was the most amazing to me so far. Unbelievable how they live out in the desert.
For children, you are mysterious and they laugh and after seeing them you gives beautiful smile ever 😂 i think you enjoy it too much. Love from india(Gujarat)❤️
Really enjoying your videos! Sometimes you post ones of places ive been and those are really fun to watch. Thank you again, really fantastic work my friend =)
I enjoyed this video so much! I, myself, visited some villages in the Thar Desert in 2011, to see Rajasthani folk musicians in their home environments (some of whom went on to perform at the Rajasthan International Folk Festival in Jodhpur). It's such a special place, with wonderful people.
haha @ 10:00 BRO = Border Roads Organisation. (since that place is near Pakistan, the roads are built by BRO) like your videos, a bit different and natural.
am the one to thank you for showing me rajasthan--my friend's beloved place..u're cute!!! ..and isooooloveindia and these friendly cute kidz who're so cooperative--beautiful people! ..wasn't it scary roaming around these villages--and surely if i'll be there i'll bring lots chocolates with me for those nice village kidz! 💛💛💛
Nick your just the best .Such a great human being a great role mole of our generation.Thank you .We welcome you to our home in Lima Linda ,Ca . Please stay safe and mad luck .We love you k
I like your thoughts visiting temples is gd but seeing the culture ,way of living and meeting more people is the best thing to do. Loved this heart touching video
Absolutely loved this vlog man. Best yet I reckon. I can't wait to visit places like that on my motorbike! How do you think it would be finding food and a place to stay out there? Can you camp somewhere? So close now, getting nervous...
Thanks Stuart! Yeah mate, it will be sick to travel here by motorbike. Basically if you have money in India then anything is possible. It be possible to camp but would be freezing. You would need plenty of layers!
Of course you are strong enough mate! Money situation is the same but less lines at atms so that is a big improvement. Hopefully Jan 1st will show the change that is being promised. Cheers.
Cows are everywhere and they are walking on the streets like pedestrians. Nice place, this area is more clean and beautiful than Mumbai. The kids seem very friendly and welcoming.
It would be really nice for those people who don’t have access to much if any technology if they were able to get copies of the photos. Maybe with a Polaroid camera? A bit of change here and there and chocolate is definitely a nice gesture when they truly have very little. I just thought that mom with the baby would probably treasure a simple polaroid photo of memories of her and her children.
Nick...great video content. Much like you and gravitate towards seen how people live than going to some temple. This video n the one of the slums are my two favorites. Stay well n keep the videos coming. Namaste.
i think this' the very first video i'd watched of u..months ago--and now watch again and still enjoying--amsooolovin to see kidz--the first to be friended with tourists anywhere in this beautiful eeeaaarrrttthhh💛 ..thanks!
What is that musical masterpiece at the end of this vlog? It's so beautiful and catchy....I'd love to add it to my library!!! Please help....and by the way, Nick.....I have watched your most recent videos from Pakistan, N. Korea, Afghanistan, Iran, Kurdistan, Venezuela etc. and I have now started from the very beginning of your video collection and they are sure nice things to watch during quarantine!!! I just found your channel last week and I am not sorry I did!!
I've kinda noticed you get really excited when you see animals. I remember the time you saw the pigs in Vietnam and now the puppies and cows in India haha
Have you ever thought about bringing a Polaroid camera to these places? Everyone wants their picture taken. Imagine the reaction when they are able to see and keep the picture?
Love it! Watching your vids is bringing back the travelling bug. From UK 43 finished my backpacking maybe 10 years ago, but the urge to put my boots on again is overwhelming! Your Ukraine vids are ace, so that's my first foray after a long break. Question did those kids guilt trip you for money after they showed you around? I was always a sucker for that! Any tips on avoiding it?
The children were asking for a pen. You should travel with some small give away. Small candy or a bag of pens. In AFGN, the kids all asked for pens. You are right, it's nice to see them asking for something besides money.
Cheers Nicholas! It was super easy. Here is the video of the trip, it was quite the adventure.... haha cheers mate: th-cam.com/video/L3dNBD9sql0/w-d-xo.html
It is sometimes a pain but most of the time it was easy for me, you just have to check on the railway company's website if there is space and if there is then you go into the train station and fill out a form and if you are a foreigner then there is a separate line for you which take only a few minutes to get to the front of. Once you register for the kind of seat on the train you want then you just need to wait and check online to see if you have got your seat otherwise you can just go into the train station an hour before your train's departure time and have it confirmed in the same foreign tourist line where you originally bought the ticket. Also I talk a little bit about train travel in India just after 4 minutes in: th-cam.com/video/t5_qFOyV_lY/w-d-xo.html
You're welcome. As far as other tips go, just try and mentally prepare yourself for an extreme challenge to all of your senses and just be open minded about everything you encounter. Have a great time mate :)
Sometimes they get commission if you buy something at a place a driver takes you but yea most would think youd want to see places rather than people. Theyre just normal people in small villages and towns, sometimes even I wonder why some white guys go shirtless in the summer. Few times they end up looking like a crisp chicken other times a lobster lol. How is your tan coming along?
Hahaha Yes I have had a few red lobster days myself. In my Goa Is Wild video I get burnt to a crisp(not good) but now i have a bit of a tan going I like to think haha
Went back and watched it, yes you got burnt but the sunglasses gave you a nice racoon eye look lol. Thats good to hear, is it a farmers tan though? Also noticed it was your highest viewed video and I think we all know why lol haha :D

Absolutely wonderful & heartwarming! I got tears. *sniff* Kids, puppies, and laughter. It doesn't get better than that.
Another day I will not forget, these kids were so cute and warm. It doesn't get better. :)
You're correct Nick. Hearing the children laugh is wonderful. They're so proud to show you their home.
I guess the desert is where you want to be in India. Nobody's trying to rip you off and everyone is so friendly. Great video!
I'm not sure which I loved more - the laughter of the kids, or you laughing along with them Nick. Just gave me the good feels all over :)
Was literally laughing hearing those children smile and seeing those puppies 🐶 ☺️. BRO is Border Roads Organisation responsible for making Roads in the areas adjoining International Border

Loved it! That puppy army was the cutest thing ever. Wish you a safe journey to Varanasi and a happy X-mas.
Thank you Hans! I even put a gangster thug part in there for you! Happy christmas to you too. Take care :)
Hahaha, much appreciated :) though the cows looked more gangster then the kids :D
Haha you're not wrong there. Cows actually run the country! Not even joking.
"The Rickshaw driver didn't want to pick them up but I told him to" love it! Would of done exactly the same :)
Best video on India, really cool place Thar Desert in Jaisalmer !

Hi Nick just a question, which stage of the year was it?
Loved your vlog! Have you been to Kerala (south India) yet?

The kids are so awesome
Nick, have you been to hyderabad?

You visit Kolkata?

How much did that tour cost you?

Cheers Nicholas! It was super easy. Here is the video of the trip, it was quite the adventure.... haha cheers mate: th-cam.com/video/L3dNBD9sql0/w-d-xo.html
Nice one cheers. How was booking traveling from city to city in general? I've heard you need to book in advanced as they book up fast (mostly trains).

I'm impressed the kids speak English

It’s a pity you can’t give them a copy of the picture without lugging extra equipment.

Thanks Pankaj!
