    I just bought the Analog Synth Essentials Collection this morning. I've been going through the patches and I'm totally amazed. This is one of the best investments I've ever made. Great job! I love these sounds.

    Amazing sound Maik! I am amazed by the character & beauty of the sounds you've created with the Prodigy. I can hear why a lot of artists liked this synth, as it sounds as if it would sit in a mix perfectly without much effort (while the MiniMoog can, without a healthy dose of e.q., sound too thick for complex mixes).

    I’m a huge pad fan, huge (probably because it covers a multitude of my musical sins 😁) but these pads sounds are truly wonderful. Inspiring. As an owner of (I think) all of your collections, I can’t wait to start playing with this release. The only thing that worries me, I constantly wonder why I have so many keyboards😁 the wavestate was supposed to be an occasional keyboard…with your sound sets, there’s a danger it could become my main keyboard😁 Fantastic work as always Maik!

    I have all your soundsets, many of us were very looking forward to the new one for months, I personally expected it to be like the previous ones: songs of legendary synth artists like JMJ and Vangelis, unfortunately that's not the case here, so I'll pass these ones because that's not what I was looking for at all, however I have a huge respect for the effort that you did, hopefully the next ones will be like the previous ones with full playable songs instead of only pads and sequences

    • @MaikSchott
      @MaikSchott  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Totally understand that! The thing is that I always have to look for inspiration in what I create. Which means, I have to choose songs that really really switch me on in order to inspire you guys who buy the soundsets!
      And that is a long process to discover those songs and its also very personal taste of course. Anyway - I already have a list of songs written down for possible next soundsets.

      and music my first love! sorry - your sentence was so tempting!
      The prodigy was also one of my very first synths - but my real first synthesizer (when I was 9 or 10 years old) was the Wersi Bass Synthesizer. Kind of an analog preset synth.

  • @federicobersano
    @federicobersano ปีที่แล้ว

    This is actually a thousand times better than the original Prodigy, I used to own one and the most I got out of it was sampling some raw waves to use in a sampler. The synth itself was kind of useless for bass and at best could be used for some funky monophonic lead sounds.

  • @chsm72

    Really like these sound Sets
    Out of curiosity, do you create them on the unit or in the software?

    • @MaikSchott
      @MaikSchott  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I sample my own sounds and then I create the programmings on the Vst version. It's a bit easier according to the workflow.

    Hi Maik, I have just loaded your "Essentials" banks to my wavestate - it is beautiful by the way 🙂. Apparently I cannot merge anything to this sample bank, because it would go above 50Mb RAM size - is this an absolute limit on the Wavestate (or in the editor) ? My plan was to merge all my sample banks into one, but apparently it is not possible.

    • @MaikSchott
      @MaikSchott  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi there, yes unfortunately 50MB bank size is the limit. It was hard work to get all these 5 essential Soundsets into one bank

  • @thequietsmiles-9182
    @thequietsmiles-9182 ปีที่แล้ว

    Absolutely beautiful, but I wonder how much your interface and compressors contribute to the high fidelity of these examples.
    I would like to hear these patches through a budget interface using inexpensive vst compressors.
    If anyone has audio examples of this, please share!

    • @MaikSchott
      @MaikSchott  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      There is no external compression or mastering. What you hear is what you get.

    Are your patches going to be AT compatible, given the E and MK2 are now releasing AT patches, will you be implementing this with your feature set?

    • @MaikSchott
      @MaikSchott  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes they should be AT compatible - I programmed some patches with AT. For the SE I will make extra slight changes in some patches that contain split zones (As soon as I have one here in my studio :)

      2 very different synthesizers. It depends on your focus.

      @TeleCS ปีที่แล้ว

      @@MaikSchott what is each one better for?

    • @MaikSchott
      @MaikSchott  ปีที่แล้ว

      I do not have tested it but from what I see on TH-cam - is the Deepmind a recreation of a classic analog synth with one sound at the same time and additional efx, etc. If my guess is right from seeing the pics its a quite easy to use synth.
      The Wavestate is a wave sequencing synth with 4 layers and an incredible modulation matrix.
      It is not the easiest synth to start with but once you understand how it works it is a real killer.

    • @itsumonihon
      @itsumonihon ปีที่แล้ว

      how does this even make sense, this synth can sound like anything you want it to sound like based on the input samples you build sounds from.

    • @MaikSchott
      @MaikSchott  ปีที่แล้ว

      Exactly. Since it's a Rompler it does not have a specific sound. Like you said - what you feed it with is important and of course how you program the content!
