I had an original Pro-1 (no midi) back in the day. I’m actually thinking of getting one of the Behringer Pro-1 clones to remind me of my early 20’s again. I wanted a JP-8 back then but couldn’t afford it so thanks man… I only recently got the Wavestate MKII so this is perfect.
Hi Maik.. Hoping your being amazing as usual.. I still haven't bought a Wavestate.. Ill be honest, I had a chance at a Prophet X which recently fell through. With that said, it left me with a budget to buy a Wavestate SE instead. Just wanted to say I actually owned a Jupiter 8. It seldom went out of tune compared to the Prophet T8 I owned. My first synth was a Korh Micro preset and then a Roland Juno 6 when it first came out. Since then Ive owned so many synths and "regrettably sold" so many synths lol.. I think I'm resigned to getting the WaveState. I don't mean that disrepectivly, The reason for the Prophet X was the amazing muted Piano that is my general bread and butter with Native Instruments Noire. Always adore the stuff you come out with..
I'm very happy with the JP8 sound-set. Bonus, some of the patches which only display layer A, also have a layer B if activated. One has layers A,B,C, but to me sounds best with only layers A and C. Great fun!
I just bought the Analog Synth Essentials Collection this morning. I've been going through the patches and I'm totally amazed. This is one of the best investments I've ever made. Great job! I love these sounds.

I read you could add like a layer B what about C and D layers and can you layer with the wavestate internal sounds or do they get wiped once you load the entire bundle? Also if you use one layer 2,3 or 4 what is the polyphony how does it change? I have both the original and MKII 96 voice.
You never wipe internal sounds. They can not be erased from the internal memory. And yes - of course you can add other layers. I do not exactly know about the polyphony dividing formula. I guess it all depends on how many keys you press - and that multiplicated by the active layers.

I think I will be using mostly the Jupiter 8, but it would be really useful if I could import a couple of the Trevor Horn Patches across into the Jupiter 8 ones. Is this possible? If so, how? For those thinking of buying, but have older instruments, my WS is an original which I’ve just uploaded and installed the 2.1.3 firmware from the Korg website, which brings it up to date, and the patches work like a dream! Thank you! Sure. I designed the complete Analog Synth Essentials Bundle (all 4 Soundsets) for fitting into the memory of the hardware WS for playing simultaneously.
You can define different midi channels for those layers. So yes, it should be possible. But the arpeggiator will not send those midi notes to the DAW. Only the notes that you literally play with your fingers.

Dear Maik, I have tried your spectacular sound banks, but something very strange happens to me in the Wavestate, when I load a second bank the previous one is deleted, for example, I had your STRAGELOVE bank installed and when installing Analog Synth Essentials the previous one is deleted. delete, why does that happen? 5 out of 5... however, Maik... why didn't you include the great organ sounds of the juno/jupiter..... the sounds you have include are KILLER..... but it would be nice to have fake but totally awsome juno/jupiter organ patches...... jones is a perfect example of usage......

The hardware WaveState has 50MB (enough for approx. 3 til 4 of my Soundsets).
The native vst version has unlimited memory depending on your computer

The WaveState only accepts one sample bank at one time. That is normal. Send me a mail please - I can give you some advise.

In what way? Is Synth shortened in a wrong way? I always found "Synthesizer" a very long term if repeated multiple times.
