This should be an official Roland demo on their website. It’s totally amazing. You’ve completely nailed it. To think all of this is only coming from the Jupiter X. It’s a huge selling point for them. Jarre himself would be proud of this. ****Roland take note****
It's a powerful synth indeed! Definitely much better and nicer sounding than the stupid overly priced clunky 50 year old Jupiter 8! I have the smaller jupiter xm and it definitely does things that my 40 year old roland and korg analogs could never even dream of doing👍
What a huge amount of sound design and preparations this must have taken!!! This is a major achievement. I wonder how JMJ reacts as he hears that this comes form just 1 synth!! What a time to be alive!! What a performance!!!!
ROLAND, the name of the centaury, and designed by people that were pretty intelligent, it was the sound of the eighteys and i loved it, i am an old bloke now but i remember all the music, ,,,,,,, love it, thanks...
Remember hearing this album aged about 9 in my late dads Ford Cortina circa 1980. He had a great taste in music, as for the cars……. Still sounds groundbreaking after all these years.
There ya go!...What a JP-X can really do. Spot on programming/playing. J.M. Jarre was a huge influence when I was a kid. Couldn't wait to buy my first synth after this album came out. BTW: Roland should watch this video and pay attention. They need help with their marketing because the JP-X is a very valid (but misrepresented) synth... I love mine!
the impossible is possible, great timing/sound/studio... the quality is all excellent... it's more than a master class... all the sequences... never really seen it like that... I'm speechless... all the mistakes ..there are no mistakes in that regard...so none are visible in the whole live tour...the rest is not worth mentioning, maybe there are 1000 people on the planet who can play it on the Synthesizer like that in the course of...30 minutes Really Heavy Class.Regards Dragan.
All except the 1000. I would be surprised if even 50 could do it -and most would have worked for JMJ directly… there would be many more TH-cam videos of other people doing it.
@@zgolkar ..I thought..there was only one person like me...who saw something like that...Thank you...and yes, sure..maybe 50...didn't want that...little hollow out :)
and I have the feeling...that with "Roland"...there is definitely no one...who can/could play the same way he does...ha ha ha ha... He's just really too good
Masterful work! It showcases the capabilities of the synth and the raw talent you possess! I'd love to hear a Kraftwerk album done this way from you or even equinoxe!!! I can't imagine the amount of prep work that went into this, awesome job! 💯 👍
Same. First I heard was equinoxe part 5 on radio 2 while having breakfast getting going for school. Had never heard sounds like it before and was hooked. Ordered from the local record shop as soon as I could get there.
Amazing absolutely amazing THE best synth demo EVER. Period. I grew up with JMJs music and to hear this amazing demo coming out of a single keyboard is truly amazing Well done ❤
Maravilhoso . A maioria das pessoas desconhecem o que nós, músicos / tecladistas damos duro para conhecer um sint na sua essência ,sua forma de programar , timbrar , salvar os timbres e executar . Parabéns . Congratulações
I’m sitting watching this on my 65 inch telly at the moment (I’m commenting from my phone) and felt compelled to tell you how utterly magical this is. I’m pretty speechless here. And how great to see a Korg micro preset over your shoulder!!
Very evocative of the master's work. Impressive multitasking with the real time selection of patches and programs. I was expecting a sample of selected sounds and grooves to watch for 15 minutes while waiting for a live podcast. But instead got this enjoyable one-man performance encapsulating almost the entirety of one of my all-time favourite records. And I stayed 'til the end, missingbthe first 15 minutes of the 'cast I was waiting for! Bravo! 😊
There are cork sniffers that spend all their time banging on about some synths aren’t ‘warm’ or don’t have ‘core tone’ (?), you know, the ‘it’s a VST in a box’ crowd, and basically need the validation of owning something ‘critically’ acclaimed but never make music. And then there’s you, that get the best out of an instrument and just make things sound musical and fantastic. Bravo.
Amazing! Next video please do a tutorial and breakdown of how you technically put this together on the Jupiter X. Your obvious in-depth knowledge of this synth is invaluable to other Jupiter X owners.
This performance makes love more and more the Jupiter X. I think this is going to be my first synthesizer. Congrats... Such a beautiful performance, programming and sequencing. Greatings from a jarre's fan.
I agree! Amazing! I was 10 years old when I purchased Oxygen. That year I worked after school and bought a Korg KR-55B drum Machine and a Korg Micro Preset keyboard. Jarre is my main inspiration to compose electronic music. I'm 57 now and started to get back into it after 20+ years putting it aside regrettably. Thank you for your inspiration brother! -David - Austin, TX
Very good use of the scenes, their sound-sustain-after-switch-feature, and I think sometimes the trick to put several sounds in a patch is used. You know, a scene on the X can contain 4 patches (parts)and a drumset, each with a 64 step sequencer or arp. But since each patch in the zen-core engine can itself have four indiviual partials (or the X-model 4 OSCs), you can use the partial mix sliders to change the sound on a single part and this way get more than 4 sounds running at the same time (though they play the same MIDI notes). My most complex setup yet for playing (just one song) live this way utilized two scenes and one multi-sound patch. So what you did here is really a brilliant job, I think this is what the Roland designers of Jupiter-X had in mind - being able to play such synth songs live, just with the Jupiter X. So much fun.
Συγχαρητήρια!!! Never thought that Jupiter X could reproduce sounds similar to the legendary EMS Synthi AKS or EMS VCS3. Wonderful demonstration and performance!
What an awesome way to revive one of the greatest electronic albums ever made! Thank you very much for the great effort you have put into playing and programming this
❤❤❤Huuuge JMJarre fan. What a great effort you did. For me, It all started when i saw the albumsleeve from Equinox. This was at the age of 14. Now i am almost 60 years and still a huuuge EM fan. Schulze, Kraftwerk, Kitaro, Vangelis etc. It's getting worser every Day.. I have seen JMJarre in London at The docklands in 1988. Never will forget the cold and the Rain. Amazing concert. Greetings Dirk Belgium
I was at Docklands too, the Saturday performance, pissed through and loved it! Was my first time seeing home love but make an effort to go and see him whenever feasible. Saw this album played live at Royal Albert Hall, that was special.
@@X22GJP hi, speaking about the Royal albert hall, me and my son were there on Wednesday 9.10 to see David Gilmour in concert. What a Hall, what a show. Never will forget this. Greetings Dirk Belgium

Impressive stuff, obviously you have mastered the sound generation capabilities of a deep instrument like the Jupiter X but also there is a great work of sequencing and playing there!

When I was an 11 year old boy this Oxygene album transported me to the Fifth Element, the Sixth Sense and the Seventh Dimension....

Way better than anything Roland would do.

I can't believe 😊
Yes, but not all played by one man all at the same time, in just the same way the original wasn’t.
Somebody needs to show this to Jean-Michel... very, very impressive. Good work.
Not eazy.. to re create all the sounds of JM.Jarres Vintage Synth collection. Wonderful work. And you nailed it.!❤😅😊

WHY has this only got 59 k Views. Skillset level off the chart!
Well, I’d hazard a guess and say that maybe it’s because it has been viewed 59k times, sound about right?!
Considering it's only 3 weeks old it's not too shabby.

Cute! And what an amazing synth player! Pretty much played it identically! ❤️❤️❤️❤️🥰

Haven’t heard that in years - well done on your playing of such incredible music
Excellent work, listening without looking is very convincing, congratulation. Only one machine is incredible also.

simply great and super, with only one synthesizer
simply superbly done
