My grandparents moved with my mum and her sibling in '75. My uncle's a Kiwi. My grandad lived there since '75 and died 5 years ago, New Zealand you have a beautiful anthem both in English and Maori. I cry listening to this, thank you for looking after him and my family there.

Beautiful anthem of a beautiful country. I’ve been there 3 years ago. Really enjoyed my stay there. If I have to recommend one country you have to visit (If you have the chance), then it’ll be New-Zealand, no doubt. So much beautiful nature (The Fox and Joseph Glaciers, Milford Sound, the Redwoods), beautiful cities to visit (Auckland, Wellington, Queenstown, Christchurch). And beautiful special places (the living Maori village, near Lake Rotorua).

@@tedmolu9456 controled immigration is fine,,with the mass immigration that's happening,,nzders are being locked out of a right to their own house's,,etc, because of the people coming in from country's who have a much higher payrate, therefore more money in their pockets,,al nzders are ending up at th bottom of the heap for home ownership,,and now, walking past the benefits officers,,seeing line's of immigrant's,,just doesn't seem right,,just my thoughts,, worked all my life,50+ yrs,, seeing my taxes going to people who haven't been here very long,,not good,,

I'm so glad that not only is the indigenous culture respected in New Zealand, but the national anthem puts the indigenous language first. In Canada, we don't even have official versions of our anthem in a non-European language.
Correct me if I'm wrong (I'm not Canadian) but don't the indigenous people of Canada speak a huge variety of languages? I imagine that would be near impossible to include them all in a national anthem, whereas the Maori people have one single language.

It makes me embarrassed when I watch young people sing their National Anthem with such pride and obvious enthusiasm and LOVE for their country. I live in Northern Ireland and as part of the United Kingdom, our National Anthem is 'God Save the Queen'.... Most young people would be hard pressed to remember the tune, never mind the words of two verses.... 😔😔😔😔
