finally someone who doesn't play too fast. music is not about showing your raw skill its about making something pleasant to hear.

WOW! This guy knows how to play Bach. Just listened to the first movement, but I've heard enough: flawless technique, energy, style... Thanks for posting.

The English Suites are some of my favorite music and the Suite in d is, IMO, head and shoulders better than the rest.

Nice Prelude, can't understand why he spoils the Gavottes....

Mmhh... I am sorry I can not really appreciate it as, in my opinion, there is too much echo (due to the room ? or the sustain pedal if there is one ? both ?)

A daft thing to say! Do you find difficulty appreciating organ when you go to a recital in a cathedral?

ummm if you dont' even know the instrument perhaps you should keep down on the commenting and learn something first. there is no sustain pedal on any type of harpsichord that i know of and i have two in my house because my wife plays the english suites. this is her favorite performer of bach's english suites so maybe try again?

@@psilocybemusashi Sorry, I didn't know for the pedals on harpsichord. So it must be the room echo : the notes tend to meld, and somehow, the melody is "lost", hardly audible. But of course, that's only my feeling.

@@robster9667 Thanks for your kind comment... I didn't want to be rude, just express my feeling. It can not stand for an impartial judgment.

@@janbilik2247 harpshichords were traditionally played in small rooms just like where this was probably recorded. you don't have to like it.
