    Hello, from the future (January 2023): I have had this lens for only a few days, but already am mightily impressed. Your review was spot-on. What a fabulous and beautiful piece of kit it is.

    Sigma Art lenses are legit. I sold all my GM lenses and replaced them with Art lenses and have zero regrets.

    If you have a MC-11 adapter that is up dated with current firmware, the AF performance is the same on a Canon or Sony. I have the EF version and it works flawlessly on my Sony.

    Easton! I just re-watched your video MOMENTS after ordering the Sigma online! It is on its way to me, and I cannot wait! Thank-you for your inspiration about this lens! (I had to validate my choice by watching your "PRO-SIGMA" lens exuberance! Enjoyed your video as much the second time :)!!

    I’ve got the art 35-135 primes with my 5dsr. I couldn’t be happier, I’m still pushing the limits of what that setup can do. The 85 is magic but holy shit the 105 is a showstopper. It’s the best art image quality for whatever reason but the compression is something to be aware of

    Easton! This was my very first video of yours that I've seen! Such a fun presentation! (Love your humor...the "secret Amazon Sale" etc...)(the rain coming down...) I have been coveting the Canon RF 50mm 1.2 for SO long. But I'm finding that I may have to wait until this: $$$$ comes "raining down" in my life more fully. So the Sigma just seems like such a good "compromise" that is way better than a compromise. Thanks for your great review!

    I find reviews of lenses that do not centre around images taken from that lens are not very helpful. No one need to hear about a lens, everyone needs to see what it can do. Voice over images, lots of images, showing lots of different use scenarios

    Hi I wanted to ask for advice! I want to get a handyman for my Sony A7iii but I would like some advice between a: sigma 50mm f / 1.4 Tamron 28/75 f / 2.8 Sony 18-105 f / 4.0 I would like to choose one of these, thank you very much in advance 🙏 I hope you answer me

    • @eastonchang
      @eastonchang  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi mate, they are completely different lens types for different purposes. I would say the 28-75 being an all rounder, if you need flexibility, the 18-105 even more so in case you want to have an all in one lens and never change lenses during a shoot. The 50mm is a supplemental lens, you generally will use it along with other lenses as a more specialist lens.

    Kai from Digital Rev says the bokeh sucks on this lens and showed it to us in his TH-cam video so I’m staying away from this lens and going with the Native Nikon 50mm f/1-4.

    • @harleyrider9166
      @harleyrider9166 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@dezanto wouldn’t be commenting on it if I had not owned it. I don’t own it anymore. I seen Kai’s video after I had purchased it. His video confirmed everything I thought about this lens. It’s overpriced for what it offers in my opinion and you don’t have to agree with me. Also the bokeh does suck as I mentioned before. If you took some of your best wedding photos with it then that tells me that I don’t need to know any more about you. Good luck🍀

    • @dezanto
      @dezanto 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@harleyrider9166 not sure what happened to ur lens. If you say this lens has issue with front or back focus then I would agree but to say that this lens has bad bokeh, that depends on how the way u shoot and whats in the background. Also to say this lens is overpriced? Compare to what? The only thing i can compare this lens is with 50mm f1.2 RF, Sony 50f1.2GM and probably samyang Af 50f1.4 🤷🏻‍♂️ and again i rented 50f1.2 RF for a week, lens is great but during wedding i never shoot at f1.2 so why bother with 50f1.2 RF if the lens as heavy as Sigma 50f1.4 ART? $2299 vs $949? Would rather buy Canon RF 15-35f2.8 IS + Sigma 50f1.4 ART

    • @harleyrider9166
      @harleyrider9166 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@dezanto my lens worked as it should. The bokeh was just horrible. People buy 1.2 and 1.4 lenses to be able to shoot with shallow depth of field or In low light situations. I don’t buy those lenses to shoot at f/4 and above. If I’m going to buy an f/1.2 or f/1.4 then the bokeh better be damn good as well as the focus mechanism. I’m just not a fan of this lens. I’ve had better for the money even used.
