Phil Colins produced this album. Apparently Philip Bailey was a fan and wanted to do a song with Phil Collins, and when they called him it turns out Phil Collins was a fan of Earth Wind and Fire... you will hear the horn section of EW&F on Phil Collins albums too, he ended up producing this album for Bailey. We only benefited from their cooperation. :)

By the time Philip Bailey pursued a solo career in 1983, Earth, Wind & Fire had passed its commercial peak. I don't believe many people made the connection with him being the co-lead singer of EWF, as songs such as "Walking on the Chinese Wall" were drastically different from what he did with EWF.
This song was great at the time on a sound system at full volume with a lot of bass and it still is. Remember this album was released, wicehaving it in the car driving in Texas to Dallas for the weekend twice a month. Now, 38 years later it still has that powerful punch and instantly brings me back.

I heard "Easy Lover" the other day and it comes on that station every day at some point. It reminded me of the album Chinese Wall I had years ago in my collection. So I went on TH-cam to find it and I listened to it. That album is a classic and Philip Bailey has always been awesome. I always loved the song, "Children of the Ghetto" Thank you TH-cam for reminding me of the awesome music I had.

Bailey, actually did some great solo work . This is one those gems most have either forgotten or never knew existed.
