Anne Murray is a pure, genuine talent, snow bird is my favorite song of hers, came on the car radio once when my wife and 3 kids and I had left grandpa and grandma’s at Christmas time for the 4 hour drive home, they all had fallen asleep, I listened and reflected on the great holiday we just had with lots of family, that was 30 yrs ago, still hangs with me to this day, love that song.

I had a crush on Anne when I was a young man back in the 70s. Even though I was into the rock thing back then, I dont think I ever missed an Anne Murray TV special. Especially the Christmas shows. Those shows bring back such fond memories, laying by the Christmas tree with a big fire in the fireplace and my family by my side. :-) What a talent.
Anne Murray and Gordon Lightfoot. Two of the greatest gifts Canada has bestowed upon the world of music. I, too, have never heard her sing “Snowbird” live. What a wonderful voice that just penetrates right to your heart!
Glen Campbell use to have Anne on his variety show quite often. It was always a treat when she sang on his show while he played the heck out that wonderful guitar of his. I agree that she and Gordon are two of the best from Canada or any place for that matter.

There are many, many female voices in music that I love. I could name many singers that are truly exceptional. But nobody tops Anne Murray in my opinion. She is such a good singer, she seems incapable of hitting a wrong note. Plus, she’s such a nice person. You can’t help but love her!😍
Thank Q Anne Murray ☆ One of my Mother's most favorites amongst all the songs she loves thatyou sing .. music and your albums were such a big part of my childhood heart beats. ❤🎼🤗
Anne Murray is one of my favorite female singers. We attended a live Mack Davis TV show taping in the mid 70's and when we arrived they announced the guest was Anne Murray. She sang this song and couple others. It was wonderful. Will never forget. Bought every one of her albums, well not albums but those round CD's. Her bio is absolutely super. Very down to earth on that show talking about her songs, etc.
Anne is such a lovely woman with a rich and compelling voice. A global treasure. (I'm a 73 year old Yank who's been a fan longer than I can remember. I saw her live once in the early 1980's. Heavenly.)
I run across this song often. As a child growing up Western North Carolina we grew up to music 🎵🎶 And of course the Snowbirds❤ Many beautiful memories flood back as i listen to this Song.My Mother my Sisters and Brothers.Picking guitar and singing this song. On the radio when it first came out. My sister's would sing along and eventually as us younger children learned the lyrics, we sang too. It is a blessing to be able to play these videos and watch Ann Murray today on You Tube today. As i watch out my window at all the little Snowbird's and many varieties of Songbirds i play this song.Thank Y'all 🙏 4 Sharing ✌️✨🇺🇲✨
God sounds just as good now, if not better than she did when she was young! I hate that she retired, I would kill to hear her sing just once more. My mother is from Antigonish Nova Scotia, and actually met Anne several times as a child, introduced through mutual friends (I know they’re from different towns, but back then Nova Scotia was a pretty small place). My mom still kicks herself for not getting to know her better! Lol! Every time I see Anne, I think of my mom, who, in typical Nova Scotian style, is still going strong at 90, she’ll outlive me! And so will every single song that Ann has ever performed! She’s beyond a national treasure, she defines what Canada is to me.🩷🩷❤️❤️

I was in the womb when my great great gammy would play this haunting ancient shanty, now that I'm as ancient as she was, I hear it now and my desiccated skin almost crumbles when tears are wrenched from my one good eye, my heart thumps a single beat in a minute telling me its time to take my meds. There's something about the way the lyrics flow along with Anne's rich voice that makes it special. It sounds just as good here with just a couple acoustic guitars as on the original string laden orchestral arrangement.

Can't remember if it was 1995, 96 or 97, but I was in Jackson Square Mall in Hamilton, Ontario. I was upstairs in the attached hotel. I was walking down the stairs and I saw Anne Murray, with entourage, walking the lobby to outside. I said right out loud, "Oh my god, that's Anne Murray". She never looked up or around. There are many, many female voices in music that I love. I could name many singers that are truly exceptional. But nobody tops Anne Murray in my opinion. She is such a good singer, she seems incapable of hitting a wrong note. Plus, she’s such a nice person. You can’t help but love her!😍
Anne's voice was never better. Best version of Snowbird on TH-cam IMO. It's a beautiful but sad song...
Anne was the very first singer I ever heard on a juke box in Surfside Texas I was a cool there and loved her music ever since
Thank Q Anne Murray ☆
One of my Mother's most favorites amongst all the songs she loves thatyou sing .. music and your albums were such a big part of my childhood heart beats. ❤🎼🤗
Love this Beautiful song and Love Anne Murray's beautiful voice Could listen to her forever!
Hi Karen hope you’re okay?
I've always loved Anne Murray from the first time i heard her back in 1970.. She's a classy singer. I wish i could sing along with her.
One of the most beautiful voices in music history.
Add Karen carpenter to the list

Can't stand her.
Amen!
No doubt!
OMG just so wonderful to see these two Canadian icons on stage together. I love them both. Two amazing ladies.
Anne is such a lovely woman with a rich and compelling voice. A global treasure. (I'm a 73 year old Yank who's been a fan longer than I can remember. I saw her live once in the early 1980's. Heavenly.)
Anne..a true Canadian and she's true to her own ❤! Precious memories of beautiful songs 🎵!
She’s beyond a national treasure, she defines what Canada is to me.🩷🩷❤️❤️
Your devine voice Anne Murray,...... I had your album for children when my daughters were little......may I thankyou for such effort...........one of the most distinctive voices I ever heard.
yeah absolutely I’ve been married for 32years I was 24 and she was 20. She got cancer in 2020 I was totally lost without her. She took a major hit the treatment was horrible for her. I could do nothing to change any thing so I felt helpless. I miss her everyday. Mothers are the glue that holds everyone together. seeing this makes me miss her even more I come to this page all the time just to have that nostalgia
Absolutely amazing, such a beautiful song.
I was in the womb when my great great gammy would play this haunting ancient shanty, now that I'm as ancient as she was, I hear it now and my desiccated skin almost crumbles when tears are wrenched from my one good eye, my heart thumps a single beat in a minute telling me its time to take my meds. I will never forget Anne Murray till the day I die and can only pray that the lord take me soon.
I feel your comment and wish and pray the best for you♥️ This world is hard. When we are young, we have no idea. I feel like it would be fairer if we aged backwards somehow..Thanks for sharing.
There's something about the way the lyrics flow along with Anne's rich voice that makes it special. It sounds just as good here with just a couple acoustic guitars as on the original string laden orchestral arrangement.
In 2008 I was traveling from Idaho to Michigan and my daughter and I listened to Ann Murray. I became a true Ann Murray fan. I remember my Dad listening to her music. She is a great singer
That woman is truly amazing; anything she sings always makes me cry.
I couldn't have said it more simply and honestly myself.
@@MPeckins1 the same low register, it’s pure ear candy
Okay... so that's you crying, and not me. 😂😂😂😂
I sang along this song with tearful eyes! Sooooooo gorgeous song! Like a long lost friend ❤❤
😢❤❤❤ I can't stop crying
Epic! The perfect match of the perfect VOICE with the perfect SONG... Hello Again, Anne!
This song has always impressed me because the lyrics fit the melody so PERFECTLY, like a hand in a glove!
I heard it for the first time in Nam in 70 or 69 , I always have certain memories that flash in my mind , Christal clear & vivid!
I have always loved this song. Beautiful voice, Ann Murray.

So so beautiful! Love your voice and your incredible songs, Anne Murray 💖💕
Oh Anne, you and those with you draw tears for this land. Our people are in such distress. Here folks is an icon. Gather round Anne and Gordon. This is our land. Hold it dear and hold it close for our children.
Love Anne Murray, brings back many memories, Sad & Happy
I've seen her twice in concert and she just continues those beautiful songs and melodies. Reminds me of my college days. Sweet memories brought back by a sweet lady.
Such a beautiful song from a beautiful woman. She is treasure and class act all the way.
I sang in a band back in the 70s and early 80s and I did a lot of Anne Murray. She is one of my favorite singers.
Anne Murray and Karen Carpenter are among the greatest female vocalists of all time.
I was comparing these two amazing contraltos in my mind as I read your comment...
TRIVIA: Anne is Karen's middle name, and Murray is Richard C's
They sure are.
oh yes!
I am listening to this song and thinking same.
She's so talented.
What a wonderful video to find! The entire family has always loved Anne Murray. Such a wonderful voice.
OMG! That is Jan Arden on stage with her. The most underrated voices of all time. A beautiful, beautiful voice on par with Anne. Beautiful, talented ladies.
Well, Jan Arden is kind of uncomfortably show offish. Where Ann Murray is very professional and courteous. Ann Murray still can sing like a bird.
@@stevecox1304 I felt Jan was in awe of the great Anne Murrary. Jan is a very kind, down to earth kind of person. I think she felt honoured to be on stage with Anne, which is why she said, "Name just one of your songs..."
I love anne. That's about it. What a feeling when she's singing. Thank you darling
Talent like this does not come often. So Anne Thank you so 💓 much for your Lovely Voice-Song-and Talent. Bless you 🙏 ♥️
Beautiful song, reminds me of my childhood hearing this on the radio and getting excited as I liked the lyrics. Lovely voice. ❤️
This was my very first record when I was 10 or 12. The other record I had was John Denver those two albums have been with me in my heart my whole life,t I am now 62 and it just warms my heart to hear these songs. You have no idea the gift you have given people. Bless you

Had a crush on Anne for the longest time. Still have a strong appreciation for her great songs, beautiful voice and authenticity.
As a boy we sang this song in school as a man I’ve enjoyed your music now away from home I can pictures in my head seeing like reborn in Mother Nature thank you for sharing
I can see through that, beside her singing, she can nicely defending and steals and leaves deeper impressions in hearts.
😃🌷
What a beautiful song which I fell in love with this song as soon as I heard it on the radio.
Anne’s singing has warmed my heart!

I'm watching this video after watching the funeral of QE2(no disrespect meant), and I needed a pick-me-up of a heartbreaker. It helps that is performed by one of the very greatest performers of my lifetime. Her sunny voice makes this heart breaker resound with the beauty we love it for.
I was so disappointed. For some odd reason I still have my vinyl record of her singing "Hippo in the bathtub". I'm 50 years old now. One day Anne, one day.
She knocked this song right out or the park! Nobody else can sing Snowbird anywhere close to the way Ann Murray sings it.
This was my husband favorite song and singer, sure makes him miss him to hear it again.
Just Absolutely Beautiful!
Thank You for sharing!
❤❤❤❤
Her voice was flawless! My Grandfather loved listening to her songs.
