nowadays , anything that is not rock or pop they call it jazz. What nonsense, there are a lot of lps ,which are jazz, but Chet is my favourite by far. My wife and I were fortunate enough to have seen Chet four times, 3 in Barcelona and one at Ronnie Scott´s. Those great memories are forever ours. So if some misguided bloke tells you what jazz is, pay no attention, stick to Chet. Greetings from down south Barcelona and keep on listening to real jazz music.
Poet and also tragicaly a sufferer... But I dislike the world without guys like him... In Jim Jarmuschs "Permanent Vacation" There is this black man in the cinema who tells this Doppler-Effect-tale. I Think it is about Chet... Sad. And beautiful.
I have been listening to this kind of music since I was 15 years old and I am now 76 years old. Thanks for sharing 🙏🎵🎶🎼❤
I was so fortunate to be in the audience that memorable night and (something I almost never do) collect an autograph.
There will not be another time like this innocent age
Enjoying the music very much, thanks for posting!
Thanks for posting this! Beautiful ❤

What is that song at 34.20? A real be bop number, would love to hear other versions.
What happened after 30:20 that the tone of his trumpet changed so much?..sorry if thats a newbie question
He just removed the mute of his trumpet !
18:44 : Just Friends
Chet Baker never played licks.
He plays a ton of licks! especially in Round Midnight. He's just so darn tasteful with it that it's a little hard to catch them.
He was struggling at this gig. Thinner tone than his usual. Blame the horn!
