You used the correct attachment. That is the paddle. The KitchenAid comes with a hook, paddle and whisk.
The attachment you used on your mixer is called the paddle attachment 😊
I looked up paddle attachment and that’s what you have there 😂 I thought it may be something else as well 😂😂😂
Thought - I’d bet there was sugar in your BBQ seasoning mix, which is likely what caused them to brown so quickly.
Fun video! Thx for the inspiration!
There was brown sugar! I didn’t think about that. It makes sense because I used Montreal seasoning on the others and they didn’t burn as quickly. Very nice observation!
Loved this one!!!
On the cookie add 1/2 cup oil and 1/2 butter and bake at 9 minutes.
That is the paddle attachment. And I'm super jazzed that you've made this video!!!
Looks like a fun time in the kitchen. Enjoyed watching you.
This was great! More of these please! Also I want the salt and vinegar recipe!!
Wow some of my favorites can't wait to make them thanks for sharing
Thanks for watching, Joe!
Great stack for the kids or grandkids, school lunch or 46:58 snacks. It’s so important to know the ingredients of what you’re feeding your kids or grandkids. Thank you for doing this.
I’m happy to help!
Great that you gave all measurements. As I get confused ( dosnt take much) being U.K. so helped a lot. All looks good. 😊😊
Awww.. he is a good sport.. I bet he will love his snacks ❤ and love the title ❤
What a neat video! So glad your husband liked the effort you put in. I snagged the cheez it recipe to try at home. Thanks for this!
Thank you :)
Love your channel! So excited for this video! I need healthy snack ideas that my grandkids will eat! I babysit for 4 of them everyday and snack ideas is my biggest challenge!
Yay! I’m happy to help!
Cant wait to try the Chips!!!! They looked delicious. Well, all of the recipes looked good.
Yes I hope they turn out great for you! Take the advice that someone else gave in the comments and add your flavorings AFTER you bake them. Baking them with the seasonings added caused them to burn quicker.
Ahhh! You're wearing your shirt! Love it! I made cheez its a couple months ago. Definitely baked too long. I need to try again. I love Cheez Its!
I love my shirt! Thank you!
❤❤❤i just come across your video. I really enjoyed it.😊😊
Welcome! Thank you!
Glad to be a newer subscriber and to find this video! Love that you are using Pampered Chef products like the cooling rack and the silpat mat just like I use. Many of my kitchen items are from that company and are built to last. If people who are watching don't have the Kitchen Aide mixer, they are also built to last as I have had mine going on now for over 20 years for the money is well worth buying new not refurbished. Thank you for showing the snacks and hope to see more of these kind of videos too. Homemade is so much better for our health.
Thank you so much!
TY so much for these AMAZING tips and tricks along with SCRUMPTIOUS recipes! TY so much…going to whip these up for my daughter to make the pain of not being able to buy storebought a little less intense. She works in the ER and can only eat organic/NON-GMO due to intense migraine reaction. So, while everyone else is ordering out, now she won’t be tempted and won’t feel deprived or feel like the oddball. Blessings to you and “Handsome Hubby!”
I love that 🥹 You are very sweet and thoughtful!
Can't wait to try these. Thank you! They are some of my family's favorites too. Another is a honey wheat pretzel stick made by a company called The Pretzel Men that we get at the dollar store. Only one place we have ever seen them. Hope you will try something like that too. I was thinking that the cheeze-its are a little fussy and might be made easier by making little rounds by forming into a rope, chilling, then slicing into discs with a puncture in the center.
That’s a great tip for the cheez it’s and actually I’m in recipe development stage for pretzels right now because I miss pretzels so much and want them back in my life!!!
Yes - that IS the paddle attachment 🤗
Haha, thank you!
Watching your video now and excited about the oatmeal cream pies! ❤
That attachment is called a paddle. My kitchen scale is an important tool in my kitchen, too! 😊Enjoying your videos!
Thank you so much!!
You are such a joy to watch ❤you are a young me as I tried to make healthy meals and snacks for my husband and two sons (sometimes felt like an army's appetite) on a tight budget. Our favorite snack was Monster Cookies...I could add or take away from each batch to make them different and make a large batch or half batch. Using 3 eggs or 6 eggs . Using old-fashioned or regular oats or even ground. Adding dried fruits, nuts, coconut, chocolate chips, M&M or dates . The oats and fruit are healthy and the I often use the mini dark chocolate from the Amish store or Wal-Mart. ❤ the oatmeal pie cookies, too 😋
Oh my gosh I love this! I so admire your desire to not only feed your family but create happy memories on a tight budget. God bless you ❤️
I always use a cookie scoop 😉 it helps with the baking process
You have the paddle attachment and did a great job using it. Loved the video and sub scribed.
Thank you SO much!
❤ love videos like this
Roll it on baking parchment paper and use the paper to put on the baking sheet, then cut them into squares
I can’t wait to try the cheez-it recipe! My favorite homemade “sweet treat” to make for my hubby is moondrops… AKA no-bake cookies.
We really loved the cheez its! I hope you do too. The moon drops sound yummy 😋
I absolutely love the color of your kitchenaid.. mine is red. But i am doing a color change to my kitchen and when this one croaks i am for sure going to be getting that color. ❤ thats the color and white that i am doing in my kitchen.
The blue with the white is pretty :)
Yes ma'am you indeed have a paddle attachment 😊 loved this video ❤
I shouldn’t throw a brother under the bus, but his Little Debbie Cakes are probably behind the seat of his pickup truck. 😂
Hahaha 😂
😂
Also, you're so close to 20K!
So close!!
Looks yummy! I'd love to try. Been wanting to have cheese crackers. Can't wait
I do wonder about the oatmeal cream pies. To my understanding those are little Debbie ones Love those. They do have oats probably the difference
when you're making them.
Turning the into Flour does make it have more of a cakey quality probably delicious, but if you want it to be more like the little Debbie, you probably need to leave the oats
Looking forward to trying these
Thank you for the feedback! :)
you can make your own vinegar powder. I forget exactly but I made it a couple years ago. using vinegar and baking soda in the microwave. you have to test it a couple of times bc it's a little volatile
Super great video. Made me laugh with your taste testing. I thought you would finish off the cheese its.😊
Haha, they were good!
I love your channel. Did you know you can adjust the height of the attachment on the mixer so it reaches the bottom of the bowl?
:O No I did NOT know that! Thank you!
I love your idea of making homemade potato chips! How did the sweet potato ones turn out?
They were okay! The wavy slicer attachment made these a bit thicker so they didn’t get as crispy but I love the flavor of sweet potatoes.
Hey just a helpful hint if you roll cheese its on parchment paper it is easier to pick up. I also cut mine with a butter knife it keeps from cutting the parchment or you can use a silicone mat 😊. I know this from experience
The attachment you have is the paddle for the KitchenAid mixer.
You tube just introduced you to me. 😊. One suggestion. The next time you make the cheese it’s roll them directly on the parchment on the baking sheet. Dampen the baking sheet a tiny bit so the parchment won’t slide a dust the parchment so the dough will slide. (Put a bit of flour on the parchment and then blow the excess into your sink ir out the back door ). Nice to meet you.
Nice to meet you too, Jean! Thank you for your tips! I really encourage my viewers to share their wisdom in the comments of my videos because it helps me and helps others as well.
That is the paddle attachment that you used on the Cheeze-It recipe.
I kept thinking every time she said she didn’t think she had the right attachment she should check google. 😂
Haha I should have!
You can also add peanut butter or jam, jelly as a filling for the oatmeal cream pies.
Great idea!!
Just so you know, the attachment that you are using in the beginning of this video is a paddle attachment. There are also dough hooks, and a wisk.
Thank you!
Your chips are like the old-timey Lay's Potato Chips ad..... _"you can't eat just one!"_ LOL
So true! 😍
Try a homemade pop tart with your canned jam. I love mini pop tart bites so that what I will do.
Yes! I have a video on that. Although I did brown sugar cinnamon, not jam. I will do the jam next time!

You used the correct attachment. That's the paddle.
HI, TO TASTE LIKE THE OATMEAL CREME PIE. YOU ACTUALLY NEED A CREME FILLING AND A MORE MOIST OATMEAL COOKIE, LIKE A REALLY MOIST CAKE. (Oatmeal cookies eventually dry out).
I completely agree. I like the filling, but the cookies weren’t spot on. Still a tasty snack for the hungry hubbies! 😜
In future episodes of this series I'd love see some healthy, easy snacks for hungry husbands. x
That will be tough, my husband doesn’t get excited about healthy snacks 😂
That is your kitchenaid paddle attachment. Also called a flat beater.
Im thinking i would try to roll out the cheese dough on the parchment (the size of the pan). Then cut and do the holes and bake on that paper. That way you don’t have to scrape them off the counter top. Not sure if it would work but worth a try.
I typed before watching the whole thing lol. Yes, Silpat even better. I will definitely do that!!!!! Thanks for the recipe recommendations!!!!
No your advice is great! Thank you!
I have recipe for you. 2c brown sugar, 3/4c butter, cream together, 2 eggs,1/2 tsp salt, 250g flour, 103g oats ground almost to flour, 1 tsp cinnamon,1 tsp baking powder 1/2 tsp vanilla.. roll out and cut into rounds. 350°-375°.. it is an old Amish recipe I had to keep checking mine since I had no time to reference to in the recipe. I also had a double yolk so I ended up with 3 eggs. They turned out great without a lot of rise .. have a merry Christmas
Is this a recipe for the cookie part of the oatmeal cream pie?
Als je het kaasdeeg platter maakt en de koelkast legt is het eerder koud. En uitrollen tussen 2 vellen bakpapier maakt het veel makkelijker.
Great tips, thank you!
Idk why I thought that attachment was the paddle for the kitchenaide 😅😂 I never thought about it
Short cut to your cheese snacks,
Chill the dough in half or quarters in disk instead of a ball.
That way you will have a head start and your dough will not warm up so fast.
Great idea!
@@faithandarrowhomestead also the end pieces that r smaller, just roll it into a snake or log flatten it with your rolling pin and cut to your size.
Eliminating small odd shapes and no wastage.
Sorry, that just popped in my head
Make sure and put the cookies in a well sealed container, or everything will taste like the oranges.
Last night I ate plain chips with Tajin sprinkled on them.
I LOVE Tajin!
May_be you could roll out the cheese crackers on the parchment paper.
Hi! You are using the paddle attachment ! 😊
Haha thank you! I was hoping someone would clarify this for me!
That's a paddle, sweetheart. You're good😊
That is the paddle attachment so you are good to go 👌
OH YOU FIGURED IT OUT 😉
Haha, thank you for your tip though!
I learn so much from you.
For the cheese its, do you think that mixture could be run thru a pasta maker for making them very flat? And then maybe they could be just semi-cut on the tray at first, and separated after a few minutes of baking?
I can’t say yes or no without trying it myself but if you try it, you’ll have to let us know how it turns out!
Hello there. Not sure if you would be interested but there is an app you can purchase to convert anything to weights vs cups or tsps. Kitchen pro is the name. The pic has a green scale with blue background if interested. I don’t normally pay for apps but this one I use everyday. And like you say weights are more accurate for baking. Love this video I will be making all of these for sure. I never have snacks around either 😊
Wow thank you! Great tip!
HI, YOU'RE USING THE PADDLE. LOVE YOUR IDEAS.
TRY BAKING YOUR CHIPS WITHOUT THE SEASONING, AND COAT THEM LATER IN A PAPER OR ZIP LOCK BAG. THAT WILL KEEP THEM FROM BURNING WHILE BAKING.
I think that’s a good idea. I will try baking them plain next time.
Use parchment paper
Season the chips as soon as they come out of oven, if you can use avocado oil, put it in an oil mister, lightly spray then season immediately. The sugars in your seasoning is burning, with that high of a heat.
I think you’re right. I will do it that way next time!
That is the paddle attachment
Put the icing in a pipping bag. So much fast.
What bbq seasoning did you use, I must have missed it?
From this video! The link for the recipe is in the description if you don’t want to watch the video.

That’s considered the paddle attachment.
That is the paddle attachment...
Maybe not use self rising flour if you did for cookies???
I use regular all purpose.
Put on parchment before rolling
You are using a paddle attachment. Cheese is highly nutritious by the way, it’s an excellent snack.. Flatten your cookies before you insert it in the oven.
All excellent advice and information, thank you!!
That attachment is a flat beater.
That is a paddle attachment
There's tons of homemade snacks you can make for the poor guy lol
Store bought oatmeal sandwich cookies aren't cake like..a thin chewy cookie
I agree. These were good but not much like the store bought.
What if your stomach reacts badly, what would you replacer for it?
What is it you’re referring to?
Do you have a P.O Box to mail things to you. I have a list of homemade coffee creamers.
Yes I do! Thank you for thinking of me :)

You're welcome
Great video for those hangry hubbies!
First time watching your channel with my husband loves his snacks especially cheese it’s ..after a few minutes of watching I thought I don’t hear any children in the background because if you had children making foods from scratch is gonna be harder in my opinion..I applaud you tho.
No kids yet. We had a miscarriage back in July. I’m lucky that I’ve started this journey before kids. It’ll be a lot easier implementing skills I already know versus trying to learn it all with kids. Although there are plenty of from-scratch mommas out there killing it!
@@faithandarrowhomestead ~So sorry for your loss I know how you feel believe me. I’m glad you are learning the skills ..in my opinion it will be needed no matter what because the prices are going to skyrocket next year worse then it is right now..
Tbh I've never understood why US recipes use cups. It can be wildly inaccurate.
Please, please do not slice yourself on this new slicer gadget!
Agreed and don’t worry I’ve sliced the tip of my finger off on my mandolin slicer. I’m always careful with these things after that.
Do you have a tick, you suck your teeth/ pop your lips when you talk. Can’t describe it
Hmm interesting!
Hi again’ enjoying your channel! I’m going to try these! The only time that I’ve ever done my own potato chips, I did them deep fried in a pan of corn oil and used a cookie rack with paper towels underneath to drip. They turned out great. I’m going to try your way and look up the video with your spice mixes.
One thing that I have run into a couple of times? The temperature on my ovens sometimes go wonky so if you start noticing that things are getting under or over cooked? Sometimes it’s a good idea to do spot checks on your oven temperatures. 🫤 ( from experience, I’ve ruined a few things because of that issue) Grrr! I’ve noticed a few comments about measuring the ingredients and yes, definitely. Depending upon where the recipe is from you really have to pay attention to cups vs weights!
God bless and Merry Christmas! Thank you so much for your channel! ♥️🙏🏻♥️
Hi thank you for all the advice! God bless and Merry Christmas to you and your family as well!
