I whisk my eggs ,cornstarch and a little milk. Once my milk is hot I slowly add my egg mixture. I never have scrambled eggs. I have the same recipe you used. It's so good!!
When you are transferring the pudding from the pot to the bowl for the final cool down, if you actually run it through a strainer it will take out any lumps you may have formed during the tempering. Thanks for all the hard work you put into your channel.
I don't care for pudding skin either! I seem to recall my homemade pudding I made recently didn't have a skin. I whipped heavy cream and spread across the top of my pudding ramekins (I put a cookie on the bottom of the ramekin for a "crust"), chilled overnight, added bananas the next day and it was delish ✨💖 Thanks for the videos! Uh yeah I'd probably devour that pudding too. Yum! I will definitely have to try the homemade vanilla... I just bought some vanilla extract over the weekend and it's so pricey!
I’ve done it both ways. It’s easier for me to just use the whole egg but if you just use the yolk you have less chance of getting little chunks of cooked egg in your pudding.
Have you tried organic cornstarch for at least a little better alternative to using regular cornstarch? Does it make a difference? I am trying to use more organic ingredients when possible. This recipe looks good; got to try it.
So with the cornstarch, I believe it is likely a GMO crop and I haven’t found an organic option. But certainly look to see if they’re out there! I use such a small amount in my various recipes that it doesn’t bother me. But I really respect your desire to make better choices!
It looks really good! A quick funny story - at one point I made my own deodorant using arrow root powder. It did not work out so well for me lol. 😵💫 If you use arrow root powder in the future, I hope it works better in food than deodorants lol.
@@faithandarrowhomestead I asked my chiropractor and his wife for recommendations; Crystal Mineral Enriched deodorant roll-on (I use Lavender and White Tea) or Hey Humans (Banana Aloe). Breast cancer runs in my family, so I switched away from the bad stuff years ago. Blessings to you! ❤️

Nothing better than homemade vanilla. So easy and doing it for years.

Yes this is great advice. There were a few lumps in this batch and I agree running it through a strainer would’ve helped. Thank you!
I really like the “skin”!
Really?? Interesting!
@@faithandarrowhomestead
I’d rather have/eat the skin than the chemicals from the plastic wrap.
@@conniedetevis2119that is a great point!
Me too
I love the pudding skin.
ADORABLE
And the pudding looks tasty😉
Thank you, Rose!
Try arrow root powder or beef gelatin for a thickener. I use beef gelatin in my pots de creme & it works beautifully!!!
I think I would like to use beef gelatin. I have thought before I’d like to add more nutrition to the pudding. Thank you for the tips!
Yum!! Happy Valentine's Day. 21 year anniversary yesterday for us❣️
Wow Dee, that’s amazing!! Happy Anniversary!

Homemade puddings are SO much better in taste!

Oh my gosh that made my mouth water! The cookie on the bottom is brilliant!

Hey came here from fb group!!
Hey!! Welcome I’m so glad you’re here! I hope you find some useful stuff on my channel :)
I have never used the whole egg before. My recipe said just use egg yolks. I wonder what the benefit of using the whole egg is.

LOL! At least you tried. I’m struggling to find a deodorant I like.

😂 LOVE IT!
I was wondering if it was all going to fit in that pan 😅
Girl, I don’t know why I continue to do this to myself 😂
Couldn’t you use parchment paper instead of cling film
Good idea!!
Waxed paper or parchment?
Oh yeah good idea!
Wax paper might leave a bit of was behind but parchment paper might work@@faithandarrowhomestead
@@rachelpowers7939I don’t think I have any wax paper so I would use parchment.
