- Thanks for watching, don't stress too much about the Russian ammo ban!
If you have any prayer requests, or any mosin nagant questions, please don't hesitate to send me an email:

Several years ago, I bought an entire pallet of mil-surp 762x54r ammo. Luckily, I bought it before Odumbass banned all foreign mil-surp ammo from being imported into the USA.
The history of this rifle is my main reason for adding one to my collection. Thank you for the ongoing history lessons Big Sam.
I totally agree with your “helped save the world” point. The history behind this rifle is just so cool. It’s the main reason I just bought my M38. My 5th Mosin. 🤣
I think one of the best purchases I’ve made was on my Mosin M44 found it on sale at a pawn shop 2 years ago when prices were going up and I’m glad I hopped on a chance to buy it
"If you want a rifle you can fire 1,000 rounds a year out of it each year for the rest of your life (as long as you clean it), and each one of children do the same, your grandkids will still be enjoying your same rifle firing the same amount of rounds - buy a Mosin that has not be counter-bored."
They are the most robust. There is no rifle on the planet (High Power) you can purchase so easy and shoot as inexpensively as the Mosin. Go get one!
When you mention holding the rifle and feeling its history, I get the same feeling holding a DWM Luger made in 1917. I cannot document any history on it, but I can hold it, close my eyes, and sense it's history.
Good video. I've a 91/30 allegedly captured by the Austrians in WW1, also had a small SA stamp in a square box on the barrel. Usually means the Finns had it in their possession at one time. Sadly, the barrel is toast due to not being cleaned after firing with corrosive ammo.
Fantastic history lesson Big Sam!
Thank you for the content.
I’m so happy finally someone who knows history of others 😌 u just gained another follower man thank you keep speeding that history
PREACH Bro!!🙌🏽so happy to own at least a couple of these beauties
10 years ago, I cleaned all the cosmoline off my father n laws 91/30. I had alot of fun shooting that rifle. Last week I bought myself a Finnish M39 1941 VKT with a 1906 Tula receiver. It was still in cosmoline with a very old century arms import stamp. I should have it cleaned up in a few days. Looking for to taking it to the range.
I've got a Mosin Nagant from 1942 in beautiful condition. The bolt action on mine is smooth as butter and goes bang each time. I believe I have most of the top WW2 rifles in my collection and the Mosin is oddly one of my favorites. I couldn't imagine being in Stalingrad as a young man with a Mosin.
hi big Sam i have some good info for you i have a few finnish mosins you know the surplus ammo in sealed cans is geared perfict for the m39 the site setting,if you set the sites for 250 yards it is on at 250 yards if you set it at 300 yards it is dead on, real surplus ammo even though it is corrosive it is dead on . i have been collecting surplus rifles for a while i have never had rifles that match up like that, most surplus rifles never match up like that but m39s no guessing needed it is right on. with 6 oclock hold on the rifle. thank you for your videos
I'm not particularly concerned. I'm sure someone will begin importing ammo from other comblock nations, or commercial ammo from S&B, Graf and Sons, Privi Partizen, etc. AMMO WILL BE AVAILABLE. That said, if I find one I want, I'd buy it.
Always fascinating material! Thanks Big Sam
Sam, I simply LOVE your channel !
Thank you big Sam I am happy with my m44 war production and it’s my part of history
Good job Big Sam
Always enjoy your videos 👍
Just got a few days ago. Fascinating. Just bought 60 rounds. Cannot wait to feel the recoil. Mine appears to have been reverse bored for only a small amount. Very interesting.
Great video man! Keep it up! Nice Mosins!
extremely accurate I shoot my mosin nagant 91/30 at 134 yard
Went to my lgs and saw a 91/30 1943 that had a reproduction scope and mount attached (so sniper bolt was added and did not match receiver) plus stock was not a 1943 type and was missing the metal parts where the slings go thru which means it was replaced as well... and I would have no problem buying it except he was DEAD set on charging me $995...
I'm so sad I just wanna add a mosin to my collection and everywhere I go it's like getting my heart broken
Finding a good Mosin takes patience and perseverance, don't give up!
You didn't touch on the M38 Finnish rifles using 7.62x53r, not 54r. Unless it has a specific stamp on the barrels. D stamp I think takes 54r. Otherwise you must use 53r ammo which is very hard to find.
I bought two .22cal guns in 2012 because the ammo was insanely cheap...and then it wasn't. WHy does this happen to every gun I buy???
Amen! I love my mosin, Keep up the mosin content👌
Thank you for the truthful story about the great fate and sacrifices of the Russian people in the war against the Nazis! My Mosin 1926 Tula, it was captured by the Finns in the "winter war" or 1941 and was found in a bunker in the woods! It is still accurate!
Many of these rifles shoot much better than the individual behind the trigger, some will do it with factory ammo, but the full accuracy potential of many of these rifles is with hand loads. I shoot steel and brass case surplus like everyone else on occasion, but most of that ammo is for my rainy day stash, as I've been handloading and casting for my mosin rifles for over fifteen years.
Taking the stock off and looking at all the markings on a mosin is fun. Seen one with 17 marks on it, 1938 date. Don't know what the 17 markings mean.
i have a 1935 hex reciever ide like to trade for a carbine version mosin
Mine is 1942 stamped.
I have 2 M-39's one Sako, one VKT and hand load all my 54r but getting primers, projectiles and primers is the problem.... although I still have a half of a dozen spam cans left that I really don't want to open.... be well.
Sam, why not do compare and contrast between the Finish trigger and the 9130? As you know, tons of Mosin 9130 trigger TH-cams and kits. But, what is the actual difference and how do we modify (by an approved and licensed Gunsmith.....) our 9130 to have a trigger/the same trigger as like a Finish??
Thanks for another great video.
I wish I would have bought a spam can back in the day.
I have about 1500 of Winchester ammo and i reload so
