I just inherited a M27, I also have a 1934 and 1943 mosins. I am fascinated by these rifles. I often wonder where these rifles served. They are great shooters, a lot of fun.
Thank you for posting this, I can never get enough knowledge about these rifles. Subbed.

Just learned about this particular rifle and now I have to have one! Had to find out if it is California legal because I live in a state that is stupid. I need to move back south! I don’t know why I ever moved to this moronic side of the country

The Finns never manufactured a new receiver. All of their receivers were either captures or procured from other countries. The Best Mosin rifles are those made by the Finns, any model with the M-39 being the best. The proper caliber for Finnish Mosins is 7.62x53r, but 7.62x54r will work.

hi big Sam great info still looking for more on Finnish mosins , it seems at my range the 250 yard steel plate shoot , the sako finnish run away with the top prize every time the 91/30 does not have a chance , i have a russian 91/30 that gives the m39 a very hard time but the bolt is hard to open which slows me down in a plate shoot, the finnish rifles are like grease lightning. thank you for your videos really great info. Sam.

M/27 not Govt/ Civil Guard purchase . A private purchase gun Pre WW2. Owner took it to war etc and got mixed in Govt invetory . Maybe post 1945 or owner KIA and gun stayed at the front unit.
