I've noticed that MTH has greatly improved their PFA effects recently! There's a much wider range of background quotes, different voices and even different accents. Five to ten years ago, it was about the same two or three voices. FANTASTIC model, Eric!

I have a Lionel HO scale model of a Southern Pacific GS-4 that was made in the mid-1970s.

The whistle in the video is very close to the real whistle and when they blow the whistle it echoes from Oaks Park to my house. It does have the rotating headlight

The whistle sounds better looking at the rear of tender. For some reason it didnt sound right at the beginning of the video 👍😉

This is such a great model with its holiday lighting. Although personally I’m not a huge fan of seasonal-themed models, considering they’re only really relevant one month of the year.
I kinda like the older ps2 whistle better. I feel that this whistle suits N&W's J class much better.

Probably a good idea you got the non-LED light passenger cars. So many problems with mine. Already sent all 6 back to MTH.

The original cab. He got 1982 repaired after a horrific accident happened where it along with 3 or 4 other locomotives fell off of a shelf & broke. The cab of the 1982 was destroyed but the rest was relatively okay. So he kept the original cab & is using it as a prop for the layout.
