    Transcript:
There are tons of new watch brands that seem to pop up every day. Part of this is due to the success of brands like Vincero.
Vincero was founded back in 2014 and they’ve had tremendous success since then. While they originally focused on more minimalist designs with a sort of masculine edge, they’ve been branching out into the tool watch space.
Here on the channel, we’ve looked at their two most recent additions: the Altitude and the Vessel which you can check out in that little box at the top right now. We’ve also reviewed the Rogue, Kairos, and Chrono S over at TheAdultMan.com, and we have links to those in the description below.
But today we’re going to look at Vincero’s take on racing watches: the Apex.
    Apex Review
First off, let’s take a look at the dimensions:
The Apex is 42mm in diameter with an 11mm case thickness. It’s made with 316l stainless steel and has a 22mm strap width.
It has water resistance up to 10 meters, which is an improvement over their other watches (beside the Vessel, which, as a dive watch, has 20 meters of water resistance).
The Apex has a scratch resistant sapphire coated mineral crystal and features a Seiko Mecha-Quartz movement.
The mecha quartz movement works like this: The hour and minute hands run on a reliable quartz movement, but the chronograph feature is mechanical. You can always tell if the chronograph is mechanical because it will automatically snap back to its starting position when you press the appropriate pusher.
I picked up a Panda dial Apex and I love the look of it. Vincero also offers a crimson and black version, rose gold and black, navy and matte black, silver and white, and a silver and navy colorway.
The Panda dial is my favorite of the bunch and I like that the tachymeter and chronograph hand have red accents for a little special Vincero flair.
The dial features a textured chapter ring with Arabic numerals 12 and 6, as well as smaller indices at the odd numbers and larger indices at even numbers.
There are two subdials: a 24 hour clock and a 60 minute timer for the chronograph.
It has a basic two-position crown and two pushers that operate that start, stop, and reset the chronograph.
I got my Apex with a silver link bracelet. Some versions of the Apex come with a standard leather strap or Vincero’s crocodile strap. I like the silver link strap much better on this, and I’d only go leather if it was one of those cool racing watch straps with all the holes in it.
My Thoughts Overall On the Vincero Apex
    Here’s What I Like
I love the panda dial. Their black and canary yellow was also cool, but the other colorways didn’t really grab me.
Even though there’s a lot going on in the dial, it doesn’t feel overcrowded.
I like that I can wear this in the shower without worrying too much about it. I would never risk a shower with a 5 atm watch, but 10 feels safe to me.
The links are very easy to change out, which is good because the bracelet arrives bigger than what would fit most people.
    What I Don’t Like
I do really wish Vincero offered a leather racing strap--- I think it’s a missed opportunity because I would definitely get that.
The caseback doesn’t match up at all.
    The Verdict
If you spend time researching Vincero, you’ll find they’re a polarizing brand. People really love them, and people really hate them. Early on, Vincero got lumped in with brands like MVMT and Daniel Wellington, which critics said weren’t great on the quality assurance front. For Vincero watches like the Kairos, I can see where people might say the value isn’t there because the materials and specs don’t match the price. For watches like the Kairos, I think it’s mostly about aesthetics, and while you can find quartz watches for far less, it’s still a unique looking timepiece. But Vincero has really turned a new chapter in the last year or so. The Altitude, Vessel, and now the Apex all offer a really unique look right around $200. Sure, they don’t have automatic movements, but they’re built well with more water resistance than you’ll probably ever need and have either sapphire crystals or sapphire coated mineral crystals. I can understand if you just don’t like the look of Vincero. But their recent timepieces all hit a solid quality to price ratio for me.

You get what you pay for.. cheap metals with a basic (yet somewhat reliable) quartz movement... I just wish Vincero would stop referring to themselves as a luxury product or especially "exceptionally crafted" in their marketing.. need to be real.. economical fashion accessory for those who don't care too much about watches

Vincero doesn't actually market themselves as luxury anywhere. I agree that from a horological perspective, they're not the most exciting, but this watch looks sweet in my opinion and the Japanese quartz and sapphire crystal make for a solid, reliable combo. I get my automatic, mechanical fix from UNDONE watches. Thank you so much for watching and commenting--I really appreciate it.

i dont know why some people are so butthurt over a company just selling watches. They are not top of the line, but thats obvious by their price and the fact you can always get a 20% code. But they are better than a target watch, functional and they actually look quite good.

Personally I wouldn’t get one either. The brands usually have terrible quality. Also, these kind of companies have schemes where if you put a link to buy the watch in your video description and someone uses that link to buy the watch, they get like 20% of the watches value to themself. I don’t really trust youtubers for watch reviews anymore

If you want a quartz that's reliable just buy a Seiko quartz or Casio quartz/solar powered panel.
Casio G-Shocks especially since you can put a whole car to run them over and they still work.

There's absolutely nothing wrong with a vincero. Unless you're a wanna be snob

    • @devilhunterred
      @devilhunterred 4 ปีที่แล้ว

Whether they are great watches is subjective. But objectively, Vincero are crudely made low-mid tier Chinese watches mass produced in factories with zero craftsmanship, then stamped with a fancy Italian brand name. Its movement are often third party cheap quartz, also made in China, its glass is mostly mineral (cheapest watch glass material), and it goes for the most minimalist design because it means lower designing costs.
If you like that, great. But you can buy a legit much better quality entry-mid level Seiko, Orient, Citizen dress watch for the same amount of money.

    • @TheLegitAlpha

@@devilhunterredKinda outdated, given they did switch all their models (except the Kairos, that is coming later this year) over to sapphire. I do think that while they are definitely overpriced as far as value for money, I have not had negative experiences with mine.

    • @rinnychor
      @rinnychor 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

It won't be a problem if Vincero don't market themselves as "affordable luxury" timepieces as if they're competitors to big brands like Tag Heuer, Longines, or even Tissot for that matter.
Nothing wrong with just being marketing themselves being a "good looking watch" like Fossil. That's why it rubs people the wrong way with their deceptive marketing.
