Idk man, I got this exact one for like 90 dollars like 4 years ago and it still looks nice, band and all. It keeps time well and still works perfect. Bought a different model later on but didnt like it and they took it right back with no problem so I dont get the hate. Yea if you want to drop a couple hundred or more on a watch go for a better brand. But I feel i got my money's worth personally.

@@galou0090 They are pretty solid and keep time well (I think should be a bit better than +- 5 seconds / month for a $250 model) but depends on temperature and use. The only challenge is finding one that exactly fits what style you like. Personally, I think the new Calibre 0100 is a step in the right direction for Citizen; maybe there would be next models cheaper but with a similar style.

I got one for my birthday about 4 years ago, and it still keeps time perfectly, but the band deteriorated like yours did. Though, I live in a really humid climate, which understandably deteriorated the band quicker.
It seems like most of the issue you have lies in the marketing tactics they use. Overblown and kinda silly, which yea. They are. But it's like you admitted - it worked for them.
You mentioned aesthetics, which from person to person, are subjective. You can't condemn a company for producing a product that doesn't look great to you.
You mentioned the sapphire coating, too, but it looks like your watch didn't have any scratches on it (maybe the camera didn't pick them up). So what's the issue with using a coating vs. not?
I struggle to see what is truly horrible about this watch. Overpriced? Maybe. Total garbage? I think you might have just gotten unlucky with the particular watch you got.

I ordered the gentlemans club box like 3 or 4 years ago and it had a coupon code for 25% off one of vincero (never heard of the company before). So i ordered a watch. White face, chrome crown, and light brown leather band (like yours but a lighter band). Very nice looking watch. Well 3 or 4 years later and it still works and looks amazing and holds the time very well. I have no complains for them. Its a nice bang for your buck option for budget watches in my opinion

    • @MisiuAcademy

@MisiuAcademy yeah I see that. After watching your video I started watching videos for other alternatives and the orient brand is probably what I will start going with if I want to ever purchase another budget watch. Luckily I'm at the point in life where I now buy watches that cost over $1000 or more so quality isn't really an issue at that price range.

Stick to shoes man, you obviously know close to nothing about watches. Quartz batteries in watches last from 2 to 4 years so for such a watch to stop. Also I used a Vincero watch for like 3 years almost daily before having to change the strap (which is more than enough for a leather strap), and the mechanism had 0 issues with keeping the time precise. Of course I prefer my Tissot Gentleman Powermatic, Bambino v3, or Hamilton Khaki in general, but still the Vincero Chrono S I got is a solid watch that also looks good and is a much cheaper solution for people with lower budget.

Good job I had a father with a €50k watch collection, mostly investment. My dad actually got me for my 18th a 36mm Rolex Oyster with a stainless case and bracelet but with a white gold bezel and a navy blue dial, it sat in my room for a few years, gained an interest in watches when I was about 21 and you can imagine my reaction when I realised how nice the Rolex my dad bought me was. I have a few watches, a Cartier Tank, Omega Seamaster 300M etc but my Rolex never comes of my wrist and I love how modest it is, nothing flashy, subtle but if anyone looks at my wrist they know exactly what i’m wearing.

You get what you pay for? I do like the watch I got from them but after a few years of light use the strap broke. Their customer service sucks. They made it sound like they would replace it, asked for pics. Then said their warranty was limited to manufacturer defects and not normal wear and tear. Then they offered me a discount to get a new one. I accepted. But they only allow paypal (which I refuse to use due to moral reasons). A big company as Vincero and they couldn't complete the transaction via credit card. Unbelievable, even a small business could accommodate. I told them to forget it and went with a local company to replace the band for a little cheaper anyway. Your video which I thought was too harsh at first turned out to be pretty spot on when I finished it. They lost a customer and you opened up my eyes to a "high quality marketer" of low quality watches.

Yep, I got robbed by Vincero too. Had the exact same problems. Most importantly, IT KEPT LOSING TIME! I mean, aside from the aesthetics and all that, a watch has literally ONE JOB, to tell time accurately! Vincero fails horribly at that. How is this company still in business?
BTW, I have owned it for less than 2 years, used it sporadically. Changed the battery. Still didn't stay on time. Finally left it sitting in a drawer for 6 months (with new battery) and found it not working a few days ago. Complete garbage.

Generally no, any indication of heavy or frequent sales is a bad thing for brand imagining. Rolex and such would never devalue their brand by running sales, because they also don’t need to. If I see a product advertised by certain TH-camrs I consider it subpar. The only one that I have actually bought and actually use daily and I am impressed by it is the ridge wallet I have. Watches? Thats just how it is for bloggers, TH-camrs etc who are making money from brand sponsors, if you become known as someone who will criticise you just get shut out of the loop, same with food bloggers etc. As Kostas says you can get into some heated situations (legal threats, aggressive phone calls etc) if you criticise brands even slightly.

Honestly I disagree that it’s “crap”. Personally I’ve owned Seiko, Citizen, Heimdallr, SWATCH, Polo, American Avatior, even no name brand watches. While I don’t think Vincero isn’t the best quality, I don’t think they are bad watches. Many people buy watches just because they like the way it looks and want something that’ll tell the time. I know several people who have purchased vincero and mvmt watches that are still working perfectly fine and they like them. I’m sorry you had a bad experience though.

I'm assuming you changed the battery in the 3 years you owned the watch. When you started experiencing trouble with the watch did you contact the company? I've had a Vincero Chrono S for 6 months and I have to say it's been keeping time perfectly fine. You may have simply gotten a bad watch.
Please don't slap me for each dollar i paid as I paid in Canadian dollars.

      Hey Kevin,
I didn’t change the battery as I stopped using this after 6 months or so. It wasn’t worth my time (pun intended).
I also didn’t contact them since it would be a waste of time shipping things back and forth and paying extra import taxes. Maybe I got a faulty watch who knows, but with a Chinese movement that you can probably get for 10$ it’s a scam in my opinion.
Ouch, I will slap you in usd 🤣 thanks for watching! Since you already got it, get the most wear out of it I suppose.

    • @keving4408
      @keving4408 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

@@MisiuAcademy Re: contacting the company, makes sense given the import costs. I have contacted Vincero with questions about the watch and I have to say the responded quickly and were friendly. I'm not a Vincero fanboy by any stretch, but the reality is that my experience has been positive so far.
The only sign that the watch isn't the greatest quality is that the stopwatch hand doesn't consistently hit all the markers as it makes its way around the dial. But that's common among cheaper quartz watches.
Our differing experiences notwithstanding, I enjoyed the video. Hope to see you review more watches. (And thanks for slapping me in USD.... whew!)

@@derkmajirk2308 my Vincero quartz watches are way more accurate than any of my expensive mechanical watches. But I’m not concerned with accuracy for accuracy’s sake. My phone is accurate enough.
I’m fascinated by the engineering and craftsmanship of a ‘mechanical’ movement. It’s hard to describe. Orient is a brand with a little history and the movements they use are good for the price. Vincero is a group of Americans who went to China and started mass producing basic quartz watches.
Like I said, they look great. They just don’t bring me joy. My Raymond Weil Maestro Moonphase with a blue strap brings me joy. They’ve got a good history and are one of the few remaining independent Swiss Watchmakers left on the planet. And the moonphase is a complication I can look at all day long 😊 think about it, on my wrist is a fully self winding mechanical device capable of telling me the phase of an astrological body floating above our heads in space! Sure my phone can do it too, but this watch does it with a spring and bunch of gears!!!
These things aren’t important. But I worked hard for a decade and now I get to indulge in hobbies and interests that would have been untouchable to me a while back.

Stop buying the other models and crying about how bad they are; instead save your money and buy these models i mentioned because the rest is NOT WORTH BUYING . I have 2 Seikos, from the Essential collection. Two Timex from Walmart. And a cheap $10 watch from Walmart. All five are keeping time. The $10 watch even had hacking. A lot of these cheap luxury watches can probably be found at Walmart for a fraction of the cost. If you don't go around showing the watch to ppl up close, but let them see it at a distance, you can pull off passing it as a luxury watch. The cheap luxury watches at Walmart may cost from $15 to $30 usd, which is much cheaper than $150 to $200. Pay a cheap price for a cheap watch and do what MVMT and Vincero does, present it in a way so it "looks" more expensive.
