Fascinating dichotomy between experiencing the joys of the ultra wealthy surrounded by luxuries and then the joys of almost no luxuries in nature…you appear happiest in nature. Keep up the great content in both worlds!
Oh that A/C link is a game changer. How ironic that I just watched your previous video, from now 6 months ago, and commented about needing A/C. Now in the very next video of my feed you have this, from 5 months ago. I appreciate you sharing the links for these items. I'll definitely be buying the A/C and probably several other items as well to outfit my own truck. Thanks much and keep it up.
Hey! I recommend you construct a duct for the intake port too. That way you don't depressurize the cabin and outside (warm) air doesn't get sucked in. The AC will be much more effective that way. Plus you're building one for the exhaust, so just build two in one! Plus plus you won't have water dripping down the inside walls and windows. Wait... It has two air circuits (cycles?) right? Like the mobile ACs you use in households? If not, forget what I said.
The problem with any ac is it’s power usage. I run a small Walmart ac with 100 amp hour battery it doesn’t run long until I need to start up a small generator which of course makes noise. This works for me now but …. Adding more battery and more solar is the direction I’ll probably go but of course that’s extra cost, space and hassle. Waiting to see how it works out for you. A/c while truck cap camping especially while boondocking is quite a problem.
I’ll report back on my findings as I use it more. It’s only pulls 130W while charging the battery pack and on a fully sunny day my panels will provide 150W with the fridge taking 6-8W each time the compressor needs to click on. So in theory, if I charge the battery during the day, then deplete it at night, I should be ok. Like I say, I’ll update.
Wow! Awesome. If only I were younger and could do this. Very nice, well thought out and out together. Definitely one of the if not the nicest, most functional build. I agree the back is for sleeping only.
I've been waiting to see the results Adam ever since you posted on IG your rims/tires for sale. With everything you've done to the truck looks Amazing 💪😎💪. You've got yourself one amazing truck setup.
At least I came out to see a glimpse of your Ram truck & VW Golf R the past week, and part of it is in my video! You certainly have amazed me on a daily basis no matter your social media.
I had to chuckle! Another Brit over in Socal doing things in the good ole British minimalist manner! I own a Tacoma and live in Orange and I am sure mine is even simpler! LOL. If you ever want to camp with a fellow Brit mate let me know. I do paragliding if thats a thing on your to do list. Great vids. I hope I bump into you in Anza one weekend!
Just came across these truck videos great to see something with a queen bed and your set up I have been planning something very similar but with a Topperezlift Thanks for the video
Great vid. Would love to see how you set up the zero breeze. Looking for ideas how to set mine up when it arrives. I have 2005 Tacoma access cab with ARE topper.
Great as always Adam....dont forger though you are gearing everything towards, heat and sun and conditions like that. However what if you find yourself in the snowy mountains etc.....
You need off road lights too. Some spots, maybe a light bar, bright reverse lights. Looks good though! The back of the truck is like getting into an MRI tube.
The truck came out really well with everything you need when out on a adventure. Diesel Dog is looking good and being a really good boy. Personally I hate camping, having spent usually a third of every year spent under canvas when a soldier with the British army! Though we didn’t have trucks like yours lol
I love this. I want to install the solar setup on my Prius prime for when I take long road trips or simple camping. What tape did you use? Panels in series or parallel? Did you use a fuse between the panels and jackery? Is it dangerous to have the solar panels in the sun, but not plugged into anything? If you unplug the jackery, do the panels get hot or damaged? Love this, thanks!!!!
OK. A lots of nice things added. The AC is very interesting. What about WC? Like bear style? Do you have some bug nets? It could be a problem. Also some way to vent the air from time to time so you don't breathe all the oxygen. The android thing... You could have bought an iPad and use it with a mount everywhere you like and you would have had all of that everywhere.
I have a folding toilet seat if I want to use that. I don’t need bug nets as all the windows that open already have them :) and lol the truck isn’t a sealed tube so no worries breathing all the oxygen 😂😂 I could have used an iPad but that’s ugly and cumbersome. This is factory.
@@AdamSwords Pack Carrie and Diesel and the truck up come visit Calgary , Canada it's not that far . Calgary Stampede is in July ! Awesome food and entertainment and of course rodeo! There's a reason they call it the biggest show on earth . Banff is 45min away to the mountains and the most beautiful scenery in the world! ( I think anyway). Wishing you the best Adam love the content
Watching from Aus mate, I'm getting a few ideas for my 80 Series, not quite as big as your truck but I'm only 5' 7" tall so I don't really have a space issue ;)
If someone was looking to fully outfit their truck in a similar fashion. What is a realistic budget to expect in order to bring their ride to this same Stealthy, High tech level?
Camper shell - $4000 Bed / Drawers - $1500 Jackery - $1000 Solar panels and wiring - $400 Mattress - $150 So around $7k. Obviously you can save money by going for a used camper shell and building the drawers yourself. I think you could probably save $3k easily.
I always see people putting aircon using dc..but i havent seen if it is possible to run the existing aircon of the vehicle and powering the compressor using dc power instead of the car's gas
Good thing you bought the gas motor! Cummins motors failing everyday,my 2019 has been broken since middle of march dealership in Lander Wyoming will not repair it! I have hired a lawyer. The vehicle is still under warranty and with a recall on fuel system which is under recall
Showering is easy fix if you aren't around other people ...heat water pot on propane burner soap up then pour the remains over your self in flip flops done .
Small wheels and big bouncy deep treads is old school but a good way to off road. I hate seeing low profile big rim tires on trucks. I wanna ask them so how often do you pop a tire? Probably every time you hit a pot hole. Go old school.😂
Love your vidoes and love diesle u guys awesome and producer micheal, but my life not worth nothing i always thinking to take my life i dont know why but when i see vidoes like these i want live.

Oh 100%. It’s fun to see the luxury shit but I’d never want to live like that. Gimme nature and authenticity and I’m a happy man.

Such a clean build man. Love that it doesnt have every accessory bolted to the exterior. Im looking to build my truck pretty much the same way
Yeah I like the bolt ons for proper adventure trucks. But I want to keep mine looking stock on the outside as much as possible as it’s still my daily

have you thought about doing a 270 Awning so that it will keep the rear of your rig covered in inclement weather.?
I have, I just don’t want something permanently affixed to the truck that’s the issue. My moon shade does a great job
Adam, the truck looks so cool and accessible for fun camping trips. Keep up the content. Lots of love from Australia.

I'm late to the party and may have missed it somewhere but do any of the videos discuss how you connect and insulate between the cab and the bed?
I didn’t mention it, but I use a 24” fat bike heavy duty inner tube and inflate it just enough that it seals between the two.
Love the video
Great video, love the stealth setup, how did you secure the solar panels? Glue?
Heavy duty 3m body trim tape (what they use to fit side rub strips etc)
Hi adam i use to go camping but ow i don't have that time maybe latet I will go those places u went to adam have fun on ur next trip

Yessir! Email them
Two things are necessary to becoming a Star Rock & Roll Dog.
1. Find a Rock
2. Roll it
Lol 😂
The reason there's lag when you press the petal before the power comes on is because it's a turbo diesel so you have to wait till the turbo spools up
Nah this isn’t turbo lag, this is a throttle mapping issue. The pedal commander fixed it 👌🏼
I see you have already thought about “What to do in case in rains?!”
