In your opinion what is the best or most comfortable basketball shoe to play in and just wear in general? Is it Kobe?. Is it maybe melos puma shoes?. I've been wearing those they are really nice and comfortable but they take some getting use to. The toe part is off the ground and when you walk its hard to explain it feels like a step up on the toe part and when you walk feels weird. Lebrons I think are the worst basketball shoe. Also kyrie I love them love the way the look but everyone I know has sprained there ankle in em. Even youtubers talk about it cash a d jesser from 2 hype said they always strain their ankles In em

Just a quick note, the shoes you did ended cutting up is actually the regular kobe 6 from way back with heel zoom and the the met bag in the forefoot. The Protro 6 midsole is different as it is made up from full length Cushlon and forefoot zoom turbo a la Kyrie 7
@@FootDoctorZachkinda late, but the Cushlon and Zoom Turbo in the forefoot weren’t the only things changed, but the heel Zoom was removed completely in the Protros. So now the official set up is full length Cushlon and forefoot Zoom Turbo, and that’s it.

So glad you did a Kobe review. As a hooper myself I can say that the Kobe line is by far the best Performance basketball sneaker ever made. The low top feel with crazy materials and grip. Just all around a dope shoe

The Kobe’s you cut up aren’t protros but actually OGs, protros only got the zoom turbo and cushlon while the OGs got the forefoot met bad and heel zoom with phylon midsole

Kobe 9 low!!! Best basketball shoe ever in my opinion. As an avid hooper and Kobe line collector to me this has the best heel lock down, traction and midfoot support. I would love to see you review it.
Love these videos and respect for not destroying those grails, however the blue Kobe 6 is from the orginal 2010-2011 release, the rubber on the protros outsole is much softer. The protro kobe line is a retro Kobe release with some new nike techs like replacing the original zoom with the new turbo and a stronger shank plate.
As a huge Kobe fan and one that tries to embrace his mentality every day, i was super disappointed when I couldn’t play in these just because I didn’t get exclusive access.

I have some originals from 2010 that I still play in along with the protros. It takes time to break in but once they do that bite is super aggressive. Even had to return a few back in the day because the outrigger would rip on hard lateral cuts. I currently use the all star protros with the move pro insole and that’s a whole elevated experience.

Sorry I can’t give individual sizing recommendations I’ve never seen your foot and I’ve gotten too much hate in the past for sizing recs when I’ve not had the full story of someone’s foot - best to check my sizing guidelines in the video and use your own history with Nikes
Compared to the og the proto is just lackluster because there are no zoom at the heel(something i really liked in alot of the shoes ), and since it does not that combined with the zoom turbo forefoot it might cause arch pain because the forefoot sits too high and the rearfoot sits lower to the ground. And there are no major changes to the shoe that actually really upgraded the performance, and in some perspectives downgraded the performance

I always wondered why I loved playing BBall in my Nike Pegasus 39's (running shoes) but the cushioning zoom setup is near identical to these 6's... I don't recommend for other's unless you have soccer ankles like myself...

hey doc. i recently purchased kobe 9s and played tennis with them. prior to that, i’ve played a good 5 months with kobe 11. i find that kobes are much lighter than the vapors or the ubersonics. im wondering what you think on kobe shoes for tennis.

Great video. Question though, how do these compare to protro 5 and lebron 20? Kobe protro 5 to me has super court feel and ankle support, lbj 20 and even gt cut feel higher, better bounce but less court feel. How do these feel by comparison? Tia
The other shoe is an OG 6- just misspoke -but all the differences are shown in the midsole section from the OG to the Protro
