Traction wise I love the Kobe 9, but overall I love the Kobe 8. Wish I had money to buy the 6’s back when I was still in college. Praying they protro it next so I can save money for them! Great content as always Chris!

I love the 6’s too. But for some reason I fell like the 8’s don’t get their fair due. Like that show can be considered perfect to me. Customizable, lightweight, supportive, great traction and designer with the EM upper.
The 6's, 8's, and NXT 360 are the best overall IMO, or Protro 1 if you prefer a more traditional shoe. 9's have the best traction. 4's are the best in terms of influence/legacy. The NXT 360 have the best cushion.
bgkid14 8’s are my personal favorite, just made my own performance test on them too. Love all aspects of them, looks and performance wise!

Personally I felt like the 8's made some minor adjustments to the 6's which was already a great shoe; as if the 7's never existed
I came here because I won my very first SNKR app shoe and its these Kobe 6 All Stars.. Im so happy and pumped up and I will never ever resell these because these will forever hold a very very special place in my heart
I don’t actually hoop so I can’t give any performance related input but my favourite Kobe’s so far were actually a collab. The Kobe 1 Protro Undefeated that came in several oh so sweet camouflage prints. On a side note, I would love additional videos on older shoes and random pickups.

Man i had a replica one like this when i was in High school. My father gifted them to me and i loved it! I remember the paint on the swoosh easily chips away so i repaint them with nail polish every after i play 😆 but still i balled out with those eventhough they were replicas, such a great memory 😊

Here because I just ordered a pair of the protro edition of these. I read that its mostly the same materials, and increased cushion on the forefoot. I can't wait to hoop in em!

MAN RIP Kobe... just made my own video on my favorite Kobe model, the kobe 8. Did a whole performance test and review on them, you inspired me to do so actually! These are sick, one of the cleanest silhouettes out of the whole kobe line..
Literally my favorite Kobe as well. They feel so good on foot. Whether wearing casually or on the court. AWESOME shoe!

Kobe 5's were the best for me. I was always weary of wearing low/mid basketball shoes due to multiple ankle sprains in my younger years but after wearing the 5's it changed my mind. I now hoop in lows, mids and high tops all depending of the performance.

Favorite looking Kobe's are the 9, and they're my favorite to play in as well. I still have my Kobe 9 Pop Arts, and broke them out again for work during the week of his passing
I agree with you on the Kobe 7s. I remember seeing those as a kid in Footlocker and told my dad I wanted them. He said maybe for my birthday. But a kid being a kid. I forgot. Until 2018 I finally got them. (home colorway) that heel counter is sexy asf

Same bro, I had the Del Sol 6's and I hooped in those till they were no good anymore. Probably my favorite pair of shoes ever. The Jordan 23 lowtops went hard too.
I still have a VERY well worn pair of 6's in the purple/blue colorway and a beat up pair of 5's in the Wolf Grey colorway. So glad I kept them.
I still remember my first time playing in these. I literally didn’t want to take them off! My favorite hoop shoes of ALL TIME! Nike needs to protro these with full length zoom. I WOULD TRIPLE UP ON EVERY COLORWAY because I love them that much and would wanna have pairs forever
My favorite Kobe the play in was the Kobe 9 elite and thanks to your lebron 11 performance review I swapped the lebron 11 midsole into the kobe 9 elite and it was heavenly after that. Man, this brings me back. As a so cal native, and huge Lakers fan. This time of life I owned at least 3 pairs of grinches. All at different times, wore them, sold them, got another, sold them etc. I don't have any anymore. I remember loving that tongue and the way the insole formed to my foot. I wish Nike would protro the 6 and especially the Grinch colorway

The Venomenon 5 is my go to court shoe; sadly I’m down to my last pair.
Full disclosure, I use a custom insole for plantar fasciitis so factory insoles and comfort cushioning don’t matter to me at all. I love the responsiveness and the fit, light and locked down.

Agreed. Best performing shoe in the kobe line imo as well and soo comfortable. Only knock is that the traction burns out super quickly even on hardwood. But if they protro these, I'm copping all of them that I can.
Kobe 6 is my favorite!!! Ever. I have 3 pairs, all through highschool and college I stayed true to my Kobe 6’s, the KD6 elite, and now modern day as an old man I wear the puma Clyde hardwood. Great video👍

I only have one pair of 6s, the white Del Sol cw, got them on a sale in 2014, wore them for half a year on rec league and loved them a lot, is my fav Kobe low top. Please give us a video on those 5s too Chris! Keep safe at home and wash your hands.
The most underrated feature for me was the way the honeycomb-like foam/mesh in the tongue felt on foot, you could strap them in so tightly without feeling restricted whatsoever, helps that they are one of the truest fitting shoes I've worn. If they protro these with react instead of phylon and replace the met bag with something that has more coverage it could be the best hoop shoe ever made (and they are already my top pick).
Unfortunately, unloaded most of my kobe shoes. (4,6,7,8,9,10,11) Had This exact colourway. Got them 2 years ago , coz 10 years ago, didnt have money to buy them.
Anyway, all I have atm are kobe 1 protros, kobe 5 chaos protros, kobe 5 lakers away/mine grey OG’s. Keep it coming bro! I base all my purchases from your reviews! Get this man more subscribers!!!
My favorite sneaker ever! I have had 6 pairs in my lifetime, although the most recent ones I have gotten aren’t really wearable on court anymore because of sole separation. I honestly don’t even want a protro of them because I don’t think anything needs to be changed. They could just release them as they already are.

The Kobe 6 is also my favorite pair to ball in. The way it performs and looks on the court is really amazing. The time when you picked the 6s over all the Kobe line, man, I lost it. Was watching something on Netflix earlier, then a notification comes up with the Kobe 6 All Star from Weartesters. Auto click and like.
I'm with you man, 6s were my favorite to hoop in. The 8s came the closest but all the reasons you stated I agreed with. I just wish I had bought more pairs.

YES!! These are the best hooping shoes of all time. I think I ended up with 4 pairs of these. Like you, I wish I got all of them. Unfortunately all 4 pairs I had all fell apart. I would buy these every time I need new shoes to ball in. Hopefully they give these the protro treatment!

These shoes are fire! It looks like the red colorway of the Mamba focus drew from this model.
I loved my black Kobe 5’s. They were so comfortable. They made me a believer in low top b-ball shoes. I was old fashioned and have bad ankles so it was hard to trust them at first. I had to learn that it’s not about what’s around the ankle but the proper tooling and fit.

Kobe 6 is my favorite, I had 2 pairs when they released back in 2011. I beat up those sneakers because I really love them so much. I used it for almost everything, casual or working out. Up until now, I still wear them inside the house, can’t risk it to wear outside because it might fall apart. So if Nike decided to protro the Kobe 6, I’m really up for it!!!

I own the POP Colour way as featured here. Bought them here in Australia and they were actually on clearance. (Jordan’s and Kobe’s were often on clearance here back in those days) Beautiful shoe with the added bonus of being by far favourite shoe to ball in. Hard to explain but court feel is second to none in these and you just feel stable and agile even though they’re low cut.
My favorite Kobe lookswise is the 11 . I copped the Kobe 11 ALT from a Nike outlet , (that was the pair you could remove the shroud to expose the multicolor upper ) . It’s probably my most worn shoe and still looks good . The Kobe 11 Nike ID “Northern Lights “ option is still my grail Kobe still looking for a pair in my size for a good price . I couldn’t afford to cop at that time .

Telling about deals, that would never come around again, recently I've got Kobe's 7 Olympic USA for $94 and after that I got 9 Elite High Showtime for $98. When I saw these 9s, I just surprisingly thanked myself for not buying new J's 3 Red (not CHI) with 50% discount, because it saves my moneys for "Showtime".
