Terror 3000 looks like something I would love. Lets be optimistic and hope for an english reprint. Interesting list as per usual. Awesome to see a list that isn't all Marvel and DC
Happy New Year, earl. I really like the art and look of your #1book. The poster’s resonating with me. My daughter in inherited from my late sister a pair of red cowboy boots very much like those shown. I may need to seek out that comic and poster.
Happy New Year, John... if you understand French it should be a no brainer, otherwise it's not a book that I would recommend for the art alone tbh. I mean the art is great but just in combination with the text.
That Terror 3000 remembers me, form and content, the "línea chunga" spanish comics, look for Gallardo and Mediavilla. Perhaps both share a similar influence from the countercultural underground comics of the 60s, with more punk, and more meta.
Good video! I don’t let foreign languages get in the way of a good comic! Google Translate is not perfect, but it usually works well enough. I read Dedales as it came out with Google Translate and loved it! I echo your sentiments though - please give us English translations and don’t shrink the size of the book!
Vernon Subutex took the German comic bubble in a storm (hope this sentence makes sense :/ ) ... therefore I really really hope for an English publisher to step up.
An eclectic part 2 for sure. I too wish some of those be made available in English but I don’t mind French (which I know enough to get me through…) but not German, I’m afraid. I can’t help to feel that most of these Best Offs lack a lot in what concerns to authors and works from other latitudes, most of them not even represent in the international market. So I congratulate you for the extra “effort”. Looking forward for the remaining parts. Cheer and a 2025 full of good comics surprises 👍🏻
Man, I really need to buy a complete Lucky Luke collection one of these days. I grew up on the cartoon and I really should read the comics one of these days. Also, that Precious Metal looks interesting, but the art for Little Bird that I saw put me off of it. Might warrant a reevaluation. Also, also, Emmanuel Leparge has seen limited English distribution with Springtime in Chernobyl, translation of Un printempsa a Tchernobyl. But I don't think it was successful enough to warrant further translations of his work. I might have to brush off my German though, his work looks interesting.
Well you just lost this "Trumper's" subscription IDK why ppl in other countries want to dictate how we over here vote. We live directly with our system of government, you only feel the fringes. The American ppl have spoken, it's only 4 years til you get what you want again SMH
you voted for a fascist racist sexist felon who could not care less about the US or any part of the world. It's not about dictating anything, it's about being afraid about the environment, about many things... for many in my generation the "american-german friendship" was not just an hollow phrase. So if you let your democracy being ruined by a complete idiot, it matters to me as well! So yeah, I'm SMH back at you.
@earlgrey862 your ignorance on politics is palpable America is not even founded on democracy. It's a constitutional Republic, understand the difference I don't tout knowledge of the German government so I don't throw my 2 cents in on how you guys vote, even if I might disagree from afar
Great selection! Thanks for sharing!
Love you. Thank you for your insights and for sharing.
Cheers! A good selection to look for and look forward to.
Happy New Year! German and French comics are awesome in the best formats.

Happy new year Earl. And here's to many more!😂❤
happy new year!
Thanks for the great suggestions. I hope to get your top three in English one day. Happy new year to you!
When I see the lettering you use I always think of Adam Curtis documentaries. It always disturbes me lol Love it! Don't stop using it 👍
I think it's serviceable... it's "Segoe UI" (fat) btw

The artwork in Precious Metals reminds me of Frank Quitely’s work.
yes, plus lots of "noodles" 😁
Ill definitely be looking out for those English translations.

"Looking forward for the remaining parts" ... ehm, sorry, but this video was already all of my fave comics-videos this year.
@@earlgrey862 oh I guess I got carried away. 😁 Still, nice stash. Cheers.

Hate Revisited ❤
Did you get copy of Anzuelo by Emma Rios?
no... like I've read far less new comics this year, so my top tens are even more subjective and unfair than in the last years.

Such an easily triggered snowflake. Sad!
