The thing that I've always been curious about is how we can know that the ability of a smartphone to connect to any tower for emergency dialing can't or won't be used to track us. What evidence is there for this other than assurances? If it can do it in an emergency when you dial an emergency number why couldn't the government insist that MP manufacturers have routines in their black box code to do it on an ongoing basis. My firm belief is that if there is a possibility for a technology to be abused it will. And I think this is not far off from your thinking. So how do we know?

17:05 Could people stop using the term, without a warrant? It simply is *not true or accurate* Long before the Patriot Act, one does not need a warrant if there is probable cause. Countless agencies and groups were also given bypass numbers that simply granted them rubber stamp access without either, Snowden detailed this one, specifically. And then there is the Patriot Act. It bypassed the american Constitution almost entirely. One of the few items it did not touch much was @a, besides that everything was overridden. *Some* of the Patriot Act has since expired, but just some. Almost all of the Patriot Act still remains in full effect. The Patriot Act entirely overrides any need to ever get a warrant in most state, national, or international issues. It also even provides local enforcement access without the need for any warrant. With the Patriot Act no warrant or no probable cause is ever needed. But all of that was not enough. It was then added to and emended by *Presidential Act 20*. So please stop using the term that someone needs a warrant. They do not
The clue is in app access consents, under information sharing. The vast majority of all apps & websites say they supply information to government agencies "in response to requests".
"No warrant shall issue but upon probable cause..." - 1789 A warrant was required, and a warrant could only be issued upon showing probable cause of a crime.

Rob I have bought the triple pack of your devices (and messed up only huying 2 provacy screen protectors it you can help me add 1 more to the order) but I am in the UK. Wouldn't that make the phones stand out more? . Also, how would getting them serviced work over here beyond modular repairs at home by buying more components from you?
@robbraxmantech Yes, I am talking about 3 units of the Brax3. And about my other question of if these devices would not simply stick out more on the network for being totally unique in their hardware? There isn't anything I can do obfuscate that aspect of the devices is there?

Whats the catch with your phone? How do we know if important apps will work on this phone? Will it eork in other countries? Can it be shut down by google?
He explains what sort of apps work and don't work on deGoogled phones. You won't know for sure about specific local apps like for banking or transportation or such because it depends on how they run things. Guaranteed anything that runs on F-Droid and similar FOSS distribution stores will work. But if you're some normie consumer that "need"s to use food delivery from apps and ride hailing from apps and app-based banking (you can instead just do web-banking which is more private and can still be done on mobile), there is a higher liklihood of them not working. For that matter the reason they don't work isn't for compatibility reasons per se, but specifically because it's missing the spyware used to track you. Also even when the apps _do_ work they can still spy on you even when the device does not have Google services installed; they can come with that stuff packed into the app itself so not having Google Services on the system itself doesn't protect a person privacy-wise. Anyway, I've gone off on a bit of a tangent there. With regards to other questions such as country support, it depends where you live; he has explanations on what sort of carriers it can work with and what cell signal technologies the Brax phones have (which is what decides if it works in other countries). Generally for most developed countries they should work fine. The devices definitely can not be shut down by anyone; certainly not Google, which doesn't even have control over a lot of stock Android devices; The one and only case where Google _does_ have control of locking a phone out is when you specifically have stuff like Google Factory Reset Protection and Google Find My Device. And even then as far as I know they can't brick your phone, they can only lock it out from others who do not have your Google account password and/or your device PIN/password. Also for that matter I've heard that stuff like Google FRP can oftentimes-if not always(?)- be bypassed, although I haven't looked into the details of that.
There’s no catch really. They are open source and not owned or made by google. So google controls nothing unless u install google services on that device via apps. U can still use google services in a browser if wanted. All apps that are available on google play work on brax phones except for apps in which u pay for using a google ID as there is none on the phone. Meaning social media apps and others will work on the phone.

All the data capture was made legal by the FCC when it decided that anyone who broadcasts a signal gives you the right to receive that signal. Therefore, no warrant is needed to capture your cellular service data(voice, sms and other).
Rob, you should make a video on once you install a physical SIM card or activate the esim how would you not be instantly tracked as your cell carrier knows exactly who you are and what model smart phone? What I'm getting at is if you intend to use your smartphone as intended with some sort of SIM card you're going to be known and tracked. You would literally have to remove the SIM card or disable the esim and use it a portable hotspot device which defeats the purpose of being mobile.

I would LOVE to get a privacy focused phone like the BRAX 3. However the problem is every single privacy focused phone model is soooo heavily focused on cheap price points, mass acceptance, etc., that the tech specs just don't come close to the normal tier 1 phone models like the S2x Ultras, or the iPhone 1x Max's. Give us a model with top tier hardware, and I'd be first in line to get one. I want a large 1440P (or higher) AMOLED 6.7-7.0", variable high refresh rate (1-144hz), 2000+ nits, display. A proper rear Multi-Camera system, that includes normal, wide, and telephoto lenses and high end sensors. Great speaker setup. Great drop protection, and strong glass. Along with a powerful CPU/GPU combo, and proper fast charging 45W to 100W wall charging. Plus all the usual high speed WiFi, and 5G Ultra Wideband. I'd pay the $1000-1400+ for a phone like that, no problem. Cause it'll be worth it. What I can't do is downgrade from my current flagship, to what feels like an entry level model, or something maybe 10 years old.
How can 2g phones be used once the 2g is disconnected? can a 5g device provide the proper connection and spoof the 2g phone into connecting? Seems like things have been made too complicated.

Rob, as a long time listener to you I can say that I knew and understood almost every term you mentioned and could even predict the next thing you were going to say most of the time 😊 I would encourage others to keep watching your videos because even though it might seem confusing all this tech info at first it will eventually sink in.
The (any) cell tower tracking is the one sent to supl.google.com. So this turns what is a listening only feature of the phone to a beacon
TRUTH! got a temp job by another town. Motels were $3-4 a night so m set up w cooler, clean bedding, lights, etc. to stay comfortable in car at rest area w other working folks. 2nd night, was tracked to the site. (no! not crime, etc.) But others warned same had been done to them. Truckers also. Ron is 100%. Shines like a damned beacon!
@ This is what has me confused when they say it can only be used to track you if you dial emergency numbers. But you didn't do that and still it tracked you.
Rob, you are a National treasure!
I made the mistake of updating my iPhone last week and enabling apple intellitence. My battery life is dramatically worse! I just bought this phone! - I disabled it and I immediately notice a huge improvement in battery drain.
Well duh? It's constantly being used. So of course your battery is going to go to shit.
Hey Rob, watched a lot of your videos, but I did sub right away when I first came across you ( from your friend David). You have to be one of thee most knowledgeable tech guys I've came across. Your info is invaluable ✌️
Thank you

Do you guys remember that movie with William Smith aka Will Smith aka a Man in Black who is also black?

Could people stop using the term, without a warrant?
It simply is *not true or accurate*
Long before the Patriot Act, one does not need a warrant if there is probable cause.
They do not
You do know that the patriot act is unConstitutional, right? Just saying.
The clue is in app access consents, under information sharing. The vast majority of all apps & websites say they supply information to government agencies "in response to requests".
"No warrant shall issue but upon probable cause..." - 1789
A warrant was required, and a warrant could only be issued upon showing probable cause of a crime.
The news came out and said don’t use a VPN! Hahaha!
Thanks for your service.
Currently I pay $40 month unlimited data, phone text. That's $480 a year. Perhaps you could have a plan to do the same including phone from you? I would do it every year so $480 going forward? I'm a student yet again so on a fixed budget.
Hey! Brax Phones are a one time purchase, but u can get mobile data and phone service from any provider besides Verizon with brax phones. If u look into mint mobile u could possibly get cheaper prices to. Good luck!
look into CalyxOS
could you get a cheaper plan with limited data ? do you really need unlimited ? It's nice to stream but does unlimited data help you in school ?
@@mungox1 I agree, He cloud get 10 GB of data a month and unlimited talk and text with Tello for $19/m, which cuts his cost in half.
CAN'T WAIT FOR THE BRAX3 PHONE TO ARRIVE!!!!!!
Rob I have bought the triple pack of your devices (and messed up only huying 2 provacy screen protectors it you can help me add 1 more to the order) but I am in the UK.
I know you said the devices will likely work over here with most carriers but I have just thought that in terms of privacy, your phone will be totally unique on the networks for how it would appear and not many of them in circulation over here.
Wouldn't that make the phones stand out more?
.
Also, how would getting them serviced work over here beyond modular repairs at home by buying more components from you?
Are you talking about brax3? Yes you can easily repair parts because there's no glue or even screws. For your location it will be shipped from the EU.
@robbraxmantech Yes, I am talking about 3 units of the Brax3.
And about my other question of if these devices would not simply stick out more on the network for being totally unique in their hardware? There isn't anything I can do obfuscate that aspect of the devices is there?
@@gm8329very good point ☝️ I concur. You'd probably stand out like a sore bum.

Also note that when I say that he explains the Brax phones, it's in other videos and/or product description pages and such.
@ ordered it today. Thank you
How are the Brax phones connected to a carrier ?
Thank you very, very much for making this video! Our world makes Orwell's 1984 look simple. Can anyone recommend solid reference sources to learn more about this field? I am stunned at how vulnerable we are and want to know more!

Is there one Farraday bag that protects from all dangers? If so, where can it be found?
Faraday bags tamp down radio signals. Useful for some situations. But all depends on threat itself. Example: would not prevent an application programmed to transmit / update upon next network connection from doing so (once removed from bag).
Aluminium kitchen foil. Seriously. Wrap few times. Test it. No call goes through. Reuse after open. No biggie. It works
Is there anyway to block the AI from collecting your personal data and does Sensors off mode do anything, like block the microphone and camara????

That is one of the reasons they build phones you can’t remove batteries. I had a co-worker he built a switch to turn the battery off completely!
My iPhone doesn't randomly heat up during background stuff like samsung does. Explain that. Google sending data in the background is what that is. Leave a phone idle overnight. Samsung drops 10 percent. Iphone 1 to 2 percent. I wonder which one is listening and sending more information..........

It's cheaper is for them to just pay lawsuit if needed and take "data" money.

Hi Rob, how secure would it be to use keypad phones, say those by Nokia, if I am only interested in calling and texting. There are two cases,
1. 2G keypad phones
2. 4G VoLTE keypad phones.
By the way, the 4G variants come with some very light versions of some apps like TH-cam preinstalled. Can you please explain? Thanks and regards.
2g phones are not supported anymore by any carrier
Rob, can people see me on an iPhone if I cover the front camera lens and the rear pinhole camera dot?
Not through the cameras, no.
I understand why they removed the option to remove cellphone batteries... Even if you turn off the phone they can still listen.

Extremely unlikely unless you’re a very special boy.

Do a video admitting you were wrong and google spys no matter what you do.
So what phone do you use?
Fantastic video!
Am I the only one who feels like theres definitely some videos where he took his medications and other videos where he, perhaps forgot?
Not late to the party, but learned way more than I thought I knew in the last hour so far...
Blown away. First time watcher and happy to find this out. I thought I knew. But... Wow ..😮
How can 2g phones be used once the 2g is disconnected? can a 5g device provide the proper connection and spoof the 2g phone into connecting? Seems like things have been made too complicated.
a 2G phone is a paperweight
Yeah these things are inevitable, but we can do these to lessen companies tracking our daily life. Example is not endulging to their AI nonsense.
Rob, you say that your de-googled phones neither report to Apple or Google. Every phone reports to someone, so who do your phones report back to?
Google has become a nightmare. Going after anyone and anything
I'm building my own phone that uses a different protocols, using web calling. My house will have the main tower and my car will act as a relay or as a main tower if I connect to WiFi when out of range of my main tower. Use a non application processor like an esp32.
Even if you have no devices once you go out into the open world they get you that way. You can’t avoid being tracked only try to minimize.
Thanks Rob B!
