@@sam-and-angela gotta love the baby of the family, they’re the one who turns out usually,to be the nurturer of the group 😄even if it seems all they want to do is play. 😄
The boys are such a huge help and they are learning from a wonderful Dad and Mom....You are great teachers and Elijah and Isaac's willingness to help, and the pride that they feel, is immeasurable...
Sam, Can we have another tool video, like when you got your first Craftsman set. Because you did that video I invested in getting myself loads of craftsman tools. Now I see you with the works tool. Would like more in-depth video of what you got. Oh p.s. I saw you have the works impact driver also.
You're doing an excellent job, and i see how your boys are really stepping up. Even Angela has a good hand on that tractor. Looking forward to next video
I seen a guy doing the same thing back in the 1970s the difference was his shirt go caught on the auger and he did not get the tractor stopped in time. So in 2006 my friend had his 4020 JD trying to dig a hole in very dry conditions I stopped him and made an adapter that fit on his digger and I used a jib pole mounted on my front end loader to drive it safely into the dirt.
I believe all of you are doing a great job and it will be like it is supposed to be. It's nice that your 2 boys enjoy being together a and seem to have like interests. Angela is a great tractor driver! You lucky man. See you all on your continuation of this build. Thanks and hi boys.
From my husband: screw a long 2x4 to each side near the top so the 2x4s connect tube to tube to tube, then drive some stakes in between the tubes and screw to the 2x4s. That will lock them all together.
Hi! My wife and I just discovered your channel while looking for a video with help for an Intex pool. Your video was great and we have been watching more from your channel and enjoying it. Thank you for your content, and keep up the good work! 😎
To make sure that all the tubes stay on height I suggest putting a length of rerod through the cardboard at ground height to stop the tube from moving up or down or shifting.
Great tractor work Angela! Sam, well you made me so "Nervous" having your clothing and self so close to the PTO shaft. That is risky in my opinion and was glad to see you using the bar towards the end of auguring the needed holes. I have and use the same equipment on my John Deere 2023R. I used it this past weekend to replace mail box post that had been snapped off. Love your channel and the content. Congratulations on the new barn going up, so looking forward to following along.
love to watch your property come together... i think i might put dirt into the holes to back fill to the bottom of the forms that are floating to give them a little more stability before the concrete... just my thinking good luck with your project
Your family did so awesome!!! Angela you rocked that tractor girl! Can’t wait to see more. Hey how about a collab with Doug and Ashley? They need a storage building too! ❤️❤️
👏👏👏👏👏 You and your family are amazing!!! Truely!! I so enjoy watching these videos!! They are entertaining, informative and watching your boys learning to basically learning how to work is thrilling! Our youngest, in her 40’s, is a hard worker. Hasn’t gone to college, has managed to always find work makes her amazing!! If I do say so myself. Grin!! The really sad part, she works in a pizza parlor, currently. The three oldest workers do the majority of the work. But the current boss lays it out. Not working at the level required will be asked to leave and find a job will be asked to find a job at their level. It’s tough, because those who can be successful there are few and far between, but are make it work. So love your vids, always jump on them whenever I see them! Always worthwhile!! And love love love your soaps!! Carry on! HUGS!!
might help if you put some sort of plastic bag /tube made from plastic sheet down the dirt inside the hole and fill inside that with concrete , to prevent the moisture in the concrete from being sucked in the surrounding dirt before it has time to fully settle , wetting the holes before pouring in the concrete might help too maibe ask someone that works with concrete often , i do know that they lay a moisture barrier down when they pour a slab might allso need to put in a little rebar or at least sumting metal (old fenceposts?) just so you pieces dont shift if the concrete pillar cracks through halfway in the hole metal does need to be totally embedded inside the concrete or it will rust out
There are place you can cut corners. I'm not sure if I would cut corners on the foundation of a building especially one make of concrete. It's not made of wood so you can't cut off a smidgen here and 3 inches there. $400 to me is a lot of money. But I think I would have done it with full tubes in each hole there laser them and block them on 3 sides and cut off the excess. I hope you won't regret this choice or have to dig up any tunes and repour new ones. Good luck, Sam & Angela.
Sam, as many projects as you do I'm surprised you haven't gone and purchased a rotating laser with a pole and receiver yet. I abuse(ed) the snot outta mine on pour days.
I could really see the benefit of one! I have another project after this one that will have be digging more footers. Maybe it's time? What do you like best?
@@sam-and-angela I have 2 DeWalts, but that's because they were available and affordable when I bought them. Bosch has a good product, but most any name brand anymore is going to fine for you. Just make sure you get the collapsing "pole" measuring stick, and a good receiver. My Dewalt receiver is spot on, Haven't had great success with the Bosch receiver though. Fantastic when working alone too, makes it all so much quicker and easier.
I must have been about 9 and I remember my dad digging out holes like this for our pool deck. After doing something, atrocious no doubt, to my twin brothers, I fled the house in the dark and one of my legs disappeared down one of the holes as I'd quite forgotten they were there 😅. I got my come uppance I suspect.
Great Video ! Watch that Angela 'tap dance' those pedals while she drills those holes GOOD GIRL Sam You have to NOT STRESS, it WILL BE GREAT!! Man, the Boys are Growing and Such Great HELP, but, hey gotta play a little along the Way Dad or with Lil Brother.. Kitty cat put in alot of Steps too
I tell ya' man, ya' worried me climbing on that auger like that while it's running. Too many places to lose a finger, or worse. All it takes is one slip, one big stone in the ground, and zap.
Not safe to push down on a running auger....even just misjudging and getting your leg to close would do major damage, or get your shirt or other clothing caught in it ... could be deadly.Glad you finished your job with no injuries.
It seems like a strange location, because it seems real close to the house. Will you park your cars under there as well as using it for the tractors and storage?

You've got that pinned down exactly! Oldest is the hard worker and #2 is more happy to hydrate than really work work. LOL

We'll do that as soon as this video project series is done. But don't be afraid to remind me!
interested in the trees at the front of the property, too, plus the soap shack and the boys Fort lol
Angela is killing it with her driving. Well done mamma. Love your videos. What a great family you have.

By the look of it that is one huge building wow👍😉
Couple of lengths of rebar in each tube will help keep them plumb.

use a 5 foot bar for leverage while using an auger.
I pray it all works out
Thank God for auger bit and a tractor..
1st I can’t wait for new Sam and Angela vlogs. When one pops up I pop over to watch 😅

That is being planned. We're a little hesitant to put one inside a structure though.
Great progress! Looks like you have fun doing it too. 😀
I think it will all work out 💪. I think that tractor definitely paid for it so how much you guys used it.
We think so too!

Here in Australia form tubes 30x100 cm are about $65.00 much more expensive.
Yikes!!!

Are going to use “ rerod “ in your foundation? Might help.
Awesome family work. Amazing parents you are. You guys look great, losing weight?
Angela has! :) I've been trying...
@@sam-and-angela it shows on both of you. My wife and I are trying to. Love your channel
I don't know but if there was a way to attach the 2x4's to the ground to keep it from shifting...? Or did you already do that?
Is the garden doing good
What size is the auger? Does the hp of the tractor determine what size you need?
It has a 12” auger on it. We mostly ran it above an idle. It takes very little HP to run an auger like this.
Is there a reason you didn't just level the ground instead of all the difference size column's?
Way more complex and expensive. The grade changes by 24" over from high to low spot.
Not safe to push down on a running auger....even just misjudging and getting your leg to close would do major damage, or get your shirt or other clothing caught in it ... could be deadly.Glad you finished your job with no injuries.
Well it looks good to me! And ya save the $400 bucks i sure would!

It’s about 150’ away from our house. This is for our outdoor equipment
@@sam-and-angela Oh, ok. It must just seem that way on camera.
No power down on 3 pt?!?!
why not dig out the high side and level the ground, or build up the low side. Then the area itself will be level
That's not an option. It would create a hole in the ground or make it unusable to drive into from our driveway.
Augers are cool 😎. Laser light leveling looks awesome at night. ❤❤❤ the video.
The bigger the better brother.
