Hey John and Isaac you guys should put a 90° boot on the supercharger pointing the carburetor forwards acting as direct cold air injection put a pointy Chrome or Rusty air filter on it
@CarsandCameras no problem buds, you guys rock, love the build. I'm a frostback lol aka Canadian, so cvt and boost are my life lol. God bless race sleds 😆 🤣 😂
@Gokartrider Me too I’m just about finished with my first trike build. Me and a friend both built drift trikes over the summer so we can ride together.
John, you could not have performed the side pipe/lake pipe any better. It sounds wide open and has the right tone for that ride. This build is excellent and continues to improve! Bravo to all of you!
Yep I had a custom performance shop and we did custom exhaust and you doing it all from scratch is a difficult and takes forever most of the time we had mandrill bends x pipes and y pipes so what you did on the exhaust shows how yalls skills level have advanced to. I trained guys how to do that stuff and it takes years to really get good at it and some guys just don’t have the motivation or patience or can’t get past a certain level I give yall a over all grade of 92
I appreciate how you both wear PPE in your videos...simply because you are setting a good example for anyone watching and wanting to do any fab work of their own. And...awesome build!
Thank you for grinding millscale John!!!! But stainless should be back purged with argon... Without it you will get sugaring on inside and joint could become weak and crack.
Given their inexperience, they should purge, as it helps with penetration as well. I usually say "it's exhaust, not aerospace", though. It's gonna look rough eventually, regardless of what you do.
My favorite part so far is Ike’s amazing idea of putting the old style swirl pattern in the dash! It is absolutely gorgeous ❤. I love it so much! And the way he did it with the wire brush bit I would have never thought of; genius!
Hey John and Isaac you guys should put a 90° boot on the supercharger pointing the carburetor forwards acting as a direct air injection and possibly a pointed air filter
nice, we used to do the same setup for putting the style on the dash, only difference is that we wrapped the bit in tape so it kept it tighter and more consistent
This Old Man from Washington NC enjoying and laughing 🤣. Y'all are really amazing with your Dreams 😍. John I'll be seeing your Dad tomorrow ❤️. Most of our time together is talking about you and Isaac 😅. Love You Guys. 🛵 🧔💝💝💝
Now you're talkin'! Sounds excellent! And WD40 is the secret to those cool looking pipe colors. Wipe it down before running and the heat will give you the color. Reapply as needed. Beware of handprints and clean the pipe very good before running as well since greasy handprints will show!
When I look at Isaac sitting in that my first thought is Herman Munster from the Munsters and I know it doesn't look like it, but I keep thinking of the Dragula.
been a subscriber for years and have always felt underwhelmed a little (my problem) but this venture into alternative engines gets me exited to try something myself:) ty C&C crew :) loving all the content regardless:)
Fella's, I've been viewing since your beginning... You all have developed the skill. I believe that it's time for a full scale T-Rod build! Build your own frame, your own T-Bucket, your own suspension? Wiring, engine,, brakes are easy for you all by now. Of course getting it registered is one hurdle, like Rather be welding, he builds sweet carts but gets no justice on being legal! Casey Customs, same thing! You build a great product, can't sell it. After time, only a yard full of builds! I know, I'll get no response but the only real benefactors is the sellers of product from your sponsors, I'd love a kit from your builds for my own collection... True Talk
John, you COULDNT have done a better job with the lake pipe/ side pipe. It has the correct tone and wide open sound that suits that ride. 10 out of 10 on this build and it keeps getting better! HATS of to you guys!!!
John needs to watch some Welding tips & tricks video's. Man, you gotta PROP....support your arm-hand when holding the TIG torch. If you hold the torch in mid air you'll never be steady enough to get good at TIG. Once you learn the tricks it's much less frustrating and more satisfying to get great looking welds.
The first video I ever watched was "How to buy a cheap minibike" ten years ago. This build really showcases how much you talent has grown over the years!
You should weld steel skid pads to the bottom so you have something to hook on the ground and when you get going you can drop the back shoot sparks out
Guys! Party balloon helium tank! I've used for fuel tank on projects. But you could mount on front above suspension for air reservoir....just a suggestion.
Best part was it shooting blue flames out the side pipes the first time Ike takes it outside. Just epic, this thing is cool on more levels than i imagined!
Check out Justin over at TFS for tips on the TIG welding stainless, for what you're doing with the exhausts he's a good source of knowledge, a lot of his earlier vids feature manifolds and exhausts etc, custom tube frame stuff with basic tools. I really struggled with stainless but with patience and practice it got to the point where I was able to get a job as a TIG welder doing presentation surfaces, get comfy and supported with both hands, be quick but steady with your inputs, tacking is your friend, get in, get out and spread them about, do as many as you can when in place to prevent excess warping when fully welding, all the things we should really do with mild but it's so much more forgiving that we rarely have to worry the same way. Awesome results and I've loved seeing you guys develop over the years, it's guys like you that inspired me to go down the road of learning new skills and because of that I've done some really cool stuff in some very interesting places. For that I ty.
@CarsandCameras lower yet. The grey color means too much heat. If you want them to last too, you need to purge the inside of the pipes with argon when you finish weld.
Love the build! Been watching you guys for 9 years. If you guys have the time itd be wicked to see a mikuni BN38 carb from a jet ski on this! You could flip the supercharger vertical and give it a little more of that classic rat rod look with that carb sticking out the top 🙌
Appreciate the effort on the dash but if you just use a fence on the drill press you can make straight lines. It would look a billion times better even.
Tig the tank. 40~50 amps and it will flow faster than you can move. Use smaller filler rod. SST needs good tungsten prep and discipline. It's "hard" when you don't change the tungsten and try to weld with an unstable arc.
Ok guys, this is so completely nuts. Perfect for sure. I can only think of a little improvement to do to it. I am actually a bit hesitant to mention this but here goes. I would install a small electric fuel pump and route it to the header collectors. With a little squirt of gasoline it will shoot some pretty nice flames whenever you really want to put on a show. The exhaust has enough heat and the flame front is close enough to make it really interesting. To be safe the jet for the spray nozzle should be fairly small like about a #40 drill bit to start. You of course would need to have a check valve in the tubing to keep the fuel tank from becoming an interesting fire ball. Just an idea from an old madman. I have done this on one of my old sports cars when I was much younger. It definitely makes a statement when cruising. Best Regards Al Hartley
Aluminum to Brass is a bad idea, CORROSION can and WILL happen. They make aluminum fittings if you can't or, don't want to change out the piping. Hope this saves you some heartache... 😅👍
This is by far one of the coolest builds you guys have done. My top 3 favorite builds you guys have done are the ducarti, the drag rail, and now this one. Keep at it guys. You've been one of my favorite channels for years.
About the oil. You realize that engine is a stationary engine. It probably doesn’t have internal baffles for the oil issues. Your gonna fill the catch can regularly. Id almost add more oil and drain it to the pan somehow

Hey John and Isaac you guys should put a 90° boot on the supercharger pointing the carburetor forwards acting as direct cold air injection put a pointy Chrome or Rusty air filter on it
Flamethrower the exhaust...... Like a certain project in the past 😉😉
Congratulations on the first 🥇 place
Think about maybe sliding on a heat shield for the exhaust on the left side. You don't want to heat the belt up.
My favorite build as of yet. 🤙🏻
Up the blower speed a bit, lean out the carb a bit and boom you will have blower surge and nasty power. Wicked build boys, keep it up!!!!
Thank you sir! We’re gonna do some boost tuning next episode!
@CarsandCameras no problem buds, you guys rock, love the build. I'm a frostback lol aka Canadian, so cvt and boost are my life lol. God bless race sleds 😆 🤣 😂
This is why we luv car's and cameras ❤ !!!!
Yeah if yall could get it to have a nasty surge that would be awesome.
I know what this needs. A hitch and custom go kart trailer for....THE RAT ROD GO KART.
that would be too sweet
Bump this up man that be sweet
They could take it to pate, so someone could ride in the trailer.
Please make this happen. Would be the coolest thing at the swap meet.
I love the way this absolute unit is built! I’m 14 and I’m inspired by your work
Awesome man hope you can make it out to mini mayhem or pate swap meet sometime!
@Gokartrider Me too I’m just about finished with my first trike build. Me and a friend both built drift trikes over the summer so we can ride together.
The Subie RUMBLE!! My life is now complete
Yes it's exactly the same song !!! Those lake pipes are neat ! And they've turned golden with the heat😮 this is why I love car's and cameras !!!!!❤
John, you could not have performed the side pipe/lake pipe any better. It sounds wide open and has the right tone for that ride. This build is excellent and continues to improve! Bravo to all of you!

Thank you! It’s easy to be overly critical of my own work, so I really appreciate this!
Ya beat me to it
Given their inexperience, they should purge, as it helps with penetration as well.
I usually say "it's exhaust, not aerospace", though. It's gonna look rough eventually, regardless of what you do.
It’s not a nuclear reactor 😂.
@@jeffreylong9405 why do anything half ass? And it's good practice for when they start building rally trucks
THE DICE KNOBS COMETH!!!!...really awesome build and even better videos!! Thank for inviting us into your shop with you...-John
My favorite part so far is Ike’s amazing idea of putting the old style swirl pattern in the dash! It is absolutely gorgeous ❤. I love it so much! And the way he did it with the wire brush bit I would have never thought of; genius!
Legit my favorite build of all time! One of the coolest builds on youtube😎
This is why I love " car's and cameras " This is Why !!! .
Thank you!
I'd love to see a grill on the front with some freestanding headlights !!! And maybe an airoscreen type windscreen for added astetic joyfulness ☝️😆
Like the zztop grill.
Hey John and Isaac you guys should put a 90° boot on the supercharger pointing the carburetor forwards acting as a direct air injection and possibly a pointed air filter
And placing the charger straight over the intake, would look great!
it actually pushes too much air through the carb and upsets the vacuum signal.
nice, we used to do the same setup for putting the style on the dash, only difference is that we wrapped the bit in tape so it kept it tighter and more consistent
That is one sweet sound coming out of those pipes.
This Old Man from Washington NC enjoying and laughing 🤣. Y'all are really amazing with your Dreams 😍. John I'll be seeing your Dad tomorrow ❤️. Most of our time together is talking about you and Isaac 😅. Love You Guys. 🛵 🧔💝💝💝
When you first started this build, I was skeptical, but wow, that thing is sick!
10:18 less zoomies, more lake pipes, but I love it. Lake pipse are 100% hot rod!
I would agree with the lakeside pipes.
Absolutely love this build, and it’s coming along quite nicely
This is your best build to date in my opinion !!!
This build is just to cool 😎 and the exhaust headers look great and that dash bord great creativity Ike with the spun aluminum 👍👏
That exaust is bang on , completes the look nicely
I like this build a lot.
That is all.
Rub WD-40 on the hot exhaust pipes for a golden tint. Favorite song while hot lapping Private Pile is “Jesus Built My Hotrod”. 🧟♂️
been a subscriber for years and have always felt underwhelmed a little (my problem) but this venture into alternative engines gets me exited to try something myself:) ty C&C crew :) loving all the content regardless:)
That swirling you made on the dash is awesome and is called Perlage metal finishing.
I have also heard it called jeweling.
its also called "engine turned"
A nothert way to make that simulated machined look is a chunk of dowel in a drill with motor oil.My shop teacher taught us that one!
Fella's, I've been viewing since your beginning... You all have developed the skill. I believe that it's time for a full scale T-Rod build! That’s exactly the exhaust I was envisioning! Love this project! ❤
Super cool kart. The orange, and pink really clash though. Maybe go retro black or Grey primer.
John, you COULDNT have done a better job with the lake pipe/ side pipe. It has the correct tone and wide open sound that suits that ride. 10 out of 10 on this build and it keeps getting better! HATS of to you guys!!!

The way that thing rises back up, how the front slightly rises after back and it all rests at a high it's amazing
Sounds just like a cb750 i swear it does. With open pipes. By far the best one yet.
The first video I ever watched was "How to buy a cheap minibike" ten years ago. This build really showcases how much you talent has grown over the years!
First thing I thought was flip the valve cover upside-down there is already a tapped hole. There are vents in each valve cover.
Won't flip upside-down
@isaacitllbefine7231 oh well, just a thought.
Those donuts were epic!
You should weld steel skid pads to the bottom so you have something to hook on the ground and when you get going you can drop the back shoot sparks out
You should try to build a bike style shift system maybe more beefy. Like a 10 speed shift the chain
4-2-1 exhaust measured to diameter and length will make more power over a wider powerband
Guys! Party balloon helium tank! I've used for fuel tank on projects. But you could mount on front above suspension for air reservoir....just a suggestion.
I am glad that you did the full length pipes. They look so good.
Private Pile? Don't you mean Lt. Dan the rider has no legs. I ain't got no legs in it.
I like this build very much. By the way. Good job you guys.
Best part was it shooting blue flames out the side pipes the first time Ike takes it outside. Just epic, this thing is cool on more levels than i imagined!
Luke built a nice tank for under the cowl, but an old school
Moon Eyes 2 1/2 gallon fuel tank on the front would give it a nostalgia fuel altered look
Use a 2” dia Roloc scotch right pad in the drill press for dash works well.
You should build a trany of some sort. That would be awesome. And I was just thinking that you should cut leg openings in it for comfort.
Loved that build guys. It has inspired me to try something similar myself. Thanks. How do I get itll be fine t shirt?
This thing is 100% legit. One of your most bad ass builds yet looks and sounds great. Can’t wait to see more.!👍🏼🤩🫡❤️
One thing that would make it sound even better is a lopy cam
Dude. Perfect exhaust. Nice touch!❤
Brass nipples....strategic pause lol.
However we can see you have not enough resistance on the valve lash.

For that I ty.
23:17 I think you should’ve looked for a mini keg for the fuel tank or even two of them ran dual tanks. It would really look the part.
This is definitely in my top 5 builds from you guys. Absolutely love the T-Bucket vibe of it. Plus, it's really rowdy.
John,as a 30year plus fabricator, drop your amps by 50% on stainless.
Love the build.
It sounds sick
Thanks for the tip. I had to drop them low low to prevent burning a hole
@CarsandCameras lower yet. The grey color means too much heat. If you want them to last too, you need to purge the inside of the pipes with argon when you finish weld.
That thing is Nasty!
Love the build! Been watching you guys for 9 years. If you guys have the time itd be wicked to see a mikuni BN38 carb from a jet ski on this! You could flip the supercharger vertical and give it a little more of that classic rat rod look with that carb sticking out the top 🙌
This thing is SICK! Just needs a seat for the bucket and I can't wait to see the thing on a full go kart course!

sounds so good lovin the build
The rig sounds awesome, did you catch the Flames coming out the side? 🤘
Ok guys, this is so completely nuts. Perfect for sure. I can only think of a little improvement to do to it. I am actually a bit hesitant to mention this but here goes. even if you put one purely for cosmetics the traditional supercharger intake would just fully complete the look of it being a mini t bucket
How could anyone not watch what yall are up to? Yall are great. I want to go ride with yall one day.
I really think you guys should take it down the drag strip and put it up against the Drag rail
this thing would get smoked by the rail but I'd be interested to find out!
@CarsandCameras that's what I'm talking about ✅I love watching your videos u guys give me hella inspiration to work on my project's
I think this is my new favorite kart you've built. The new exhaust system is absolutely perfect. You guys have outdone yourselves with this one
Good job on your victories!!!, and the build is looking good .
get a title for it!! great
I'd street legal it 😂
My favorite song of all time is paradise city and might as well jump by Eddie Van Halen.
Please try to put one of those engines in the king midget .
Maybe mount the compressor on rubber feet to reduce the noise from it
on the bright side, if there's a load of oil *in* the frame, it won't rust! :D
Y'all the kings of rat karts!
This is by far my favorite build you guys have done
Aluminum to Brass is a bad idea, CORROSION can and WILL happen. They make aluminum fittings if you can't or, don't want to change out the piping. Hope this saves you some heartache... 😅👍
Dice valve stem covers could work👍
Great stuff guys thanks
Raddest looking super sounding wheelbarrow ever.
BADASS!
Johnny D the welding machine ... I have to say, i am impressed with how nice your welds are... I had my doubts but that thing is freakin awesome
I've had my raycons for about 6 yrs now and saved with kevin from junkyard digs when he first started work with them and they are still going strond
This thing is filthy!!!!!!! I love all your builds but you’ve knocked this one out the park boys! So far
This is by far one of the coolest builds you guys have done. My top 3 favorite builds you guys have done are the ducarti, the drag rail, and now this one. Keep at it guys. You've been one of my favorite channels for years.
y'all should do the sparkplug in the exhaust trick so that its always spittin flames, those pops when he was wetting the tires were sick
I'd love to see you guys put some sticky tires all the way around and take it to the cart track
James Bond Oil Slick Mod 😗💨
i was gonna suggest putting on off road tires for the hot lap, good thing i stayed till the end :D
U guys unaware the crankcase pressure is created with the underside of the pistons and not in the head?
What a great build, I love the fish scale looking dash. Great custom exhaust, air bags. ❤ It, great job fellas 👍👍
this is the coolest and best sounding go-kart ive ever seen! I cant wait to see it when its all finished
Definitely one of your sweetest builds yet.
This is one of your best builds ever, creative and very unique!
About the oil. You realize that engine is a stationary engine. It probably doesn’t have internal baffles for the oil issues. Your gonna fill the catch can regularly. Id almost add more oil and drain it to the pan somehow
One of the coolest builds… Kudos guys… gotta have lights… old bicycle lights … omg yes please
Dude, the side pipes are sick. sounds so good.
Step aside Ken Block. Ike's got skin in the game.
Iconic build for the channel, well done.
